Fashion Faceoff: Azzedine Alaia Dress

Victoria Beckham donned a beige Azzedine Alaia dress during her interview with Today Show’s Matt Lauer on Thursday in NYC’s Central Park. The Coming to America star finished off her look with a pair of matching beige Christian Louboutin pumps and over-sized shades.

Mariah Carey’s see-through skirt on her black version of the dress revealed a bit more undergarment at the Fresh Air Fund Salute in NYC last week. The powerhouse singer completed her look with a blingin’ bracelet and a pair of YSL Tribute pumps in matching black patent.

Who wears it best — VICTORIA BECKHAM or MARIAH CAREY?

MARIAH hasn’t always made the best choices in fashion…and she’s even humbly admitted that. but this dress is quite nice on her. victoria looks ok as well but my choice is MIMI.

besides, what does she do (aside from david) now to be so over tabloided ???

and for those of you who insist on revealing your double digit IQ’s by calling Mariah fat….you certainly wouldn’t think so in person! Ummm, It’s like thatchyall!

the black looks better; therefore Mariah. are those oversized glass ever going to go out of style. the smaller the head of the person, e.g. beckham the more ant like she looks. also i ust hate those glasses. anyhow, the black one!

I think it looks great in balck though Mariah is so “busty” that it looks a little trashy. Victoris wears the beige in a much classier fashion. I go w/ Victoria! But, i still love Mariah, just not in this dress w/ those shoes.

although victoria looks ok in it because she’s more slender, mariah actually has curves so it accentuates the body more.

sometimes, being slender can be a bad thing, especially because it makes u look so narrow and plain.

victoria looks like she has no hips or boobs to fill out the dress properly.

Mariah wins. We love both of them because they are both indeed very glamorous, however Mariah just adds that extra something to the ensemble and fills it out better.
