Former Price is Right host Bob Barker is backing pal Rosie O’Donnell as a possible replacement for him on The Price Is Right
“I believe they’re going to have a meeting with Rosie,” Barker told The Associated Press backstage Friday night at the Daytime Emmy Awards, where he won his 19th trophy (pictured).
“She knows the show,” he said. “There’s no doubt in my mind she could do the show. Now, whether they want a lady host, I don’t know. I’ve never heard that discussed. As far as I know, they’ve only auditioned men.”
“She told me she loved ‘The Price Is Right’ and wanted to host it one day,” Barker added,
Barker retired last week at age 83 after 35 years hosting the CBS game show and 50 years in all on television.

hell, yes! Rosie, c’mon down. I will watch whatever Rosie does (I’m a huge fan) but truthfully I’d rather see her do a Bill Maher type show on cable.

The host/hostess of the Price is Right needs to be (1) someone who knows the games well enough to easily be able to officiate them, and (2) someone who can relate to the contestants, be friendly and ask questions, and ensure that they are comfortable while playing their games.
Sorry haters, but of all the names that have been floated so far, Rosie’s the one.
I think Rosie will do fine. It’s a game show and not about world events. So she has no reason to discuss politics or anything other than the game itself.
hell no! rosie is a fat lesbo pig that more people hate than those people that actually like that mess. she will ruin bob barker’s legacy. i can assure you ratings will go down and that show will not be the same. it would be a HUGE mistake on CBS’s part. seniors do not like her lesbo butch ass or the majority of america. just take a poll to prove what i say is true. they need to find someone who appeals to everyone across the board, who is classy, witty and not full of so much hating drama. i can just see rosie implementing contestants winning a gay fucken cruise!! come on…be real. bob barker has been a success because he is likeable. i can assure you college contestants would throw eggs at her ass from the audience or something. i could just see female contestants going on stage and rosie asking them if they want to kiss her on the cheek and those women replying, “hell 2 the no!”.
Rosie would be perfect and wild and crazy. Rosie took The View to new heights. She’s the one that made the show so generous with their prizes. If someone “touched” her, she would get that person booked on the show. She does seem to care especially about the people in society who don’t get recognition they deserve. She is a champion for the underdog.
Hey if Rosie joins the show, maybe the prizes they give away will become even more outstanding. Give her a shot.
I think Ellen would be better. She host games on her show and she’s great at it but she’s going to have to stop feeling sorry for the loser because she’s always gives gift’s to the loser.
Rosie on the TPIR? Can you imagine, when she ask the contestant what their sexual preference is? She is hung up on being gay. Every chance she got on the View she had to interject something about her being gay or someone else. And if someone was to piss her off, then what, would she storm out before her contract was over? She is an infantile idiot that needs to go back into the closet and lock the freaking door! GAY GAY GAY is all she thinks about. Rosie there is more to life than your sexual preference!! I can see it now, the showcase would feature a prize on one of her gay cruises, go away Rosie .

She would be great in that show and she would make it more interesting and funny. She already had a talk show so this would be a nice change.
John, she’s not hung up. She is part of a group of people who face discrimination. People like that don’t have the luxury to just “be themselves” because they are constantly facing critical remarks from people like you. Anytime you have to prove yourself because you face discrimination, you tend to do what Rosie does. It’s a small idiosyncrasy.

Rosie is the PERFECT Replacement for BOB Barker!Everyone should give her a chance. They would soon find out what a great Game Show Host Rosie can be. There is absolutely no doubt in my mind that she is the, one and only, perfect host for The Price is Right Show.

No, I don’t think so. Rosie O’Donnell can not do The Price Is Right. But because if she did, then the show will be cancelled in a month because nobody wants to see her doing what she did to The View that one time.
