Sorry if it’s been posted. It’s from last week.

from what i read when Marianne Pearl was interviewed it was Marianne who wrote a note to Jolie and requested for a playdate and not Jolie who called Marianne for a playdate… geeeezzzz what a lousy writer can’t even made a correct fact and they called themselves a journalist???????

Thanks for the thoughtful post.

All these fake fans of Angelina Jolie, haters, critics, rumor mongers need to give it up. The little smear campaign leading into the opening of “A Mighty Heart” is futile. People will see the Movie because they desire to, it is that simple. I am looking forward to seeing “A Mighty Heart”. It is a critical success and a fitting tribute to D. Pearl. Thanks for the latest splash video. Peace to all and best wishes to BAMPZS.

forgot to say thank u to ur husband?me thinks jane pitts loves that one.i thought shes a school coucelor is it? oh God!she should councel herself firt!i think!hehehe!

Zee is a natural. Pax seems to be very curious. Lucky Brad and Angie.

Brad is not The Pitts @ 06/21/2007 at 8:05 am

Don’t throw Brad under the bus because his mom and his brother still love jen. His family still is very very conservative and religious. There is a reason why left that world and went to L.A, there is a reason why Brad doesn’t believe in God and thinks drugs should be legal, there is a reason why Brad is a liberal. He’s not the Pitts and the fact that his family goes on record about their friendship with Jen doesn’t mean ****.

Can someone post the Splash link of Angie kissing Brad. Thank you!

I can’t believe what I’m reading!!! AJ should leave BP because his mother visted JA??!! Are you serious? My goodnees, with fair weather fans like these….who needs the Fanistons? Honest to God, to say this is a disappointment, is an understatement. So when the good is good….it’s “BP and AJ forever” but as soon as their an inkling that something isn’t going well (based on what we see from the outside) it’s all….”AJ forever”. Jesus…..what are, the Fanistons? You know maybe people are right when the say we’re no different from them after all….I mean isn’t this the kind of behavior that birthed the Fanistons? They couldn’t handle anything that gets away from the mental script the have.
This is NOT a soap opera, you can’t get mad at TPTB because they threw a surprise into the storyline. My God, these are people’s lives and the fact that we’re privvy into less that 1% of their lives does not mean we can control how they live.

If this helps….look at this way, maybe JP was pulling the classic “keep your friends close and your enemies closer” eh? If the Pitts keep insisting JA is a friend of the family, it would be kinda difficult for JA to keep calling a joke, no? I mean it makes her look kinda silly, doesn’t it? My Grandma did that a lot….her thing was kill (I don’t mean literally) them with kindness….it makes it hard for them to think ill of you. Instead of cursing and keeping malice with her, they shower her with kindness, so when next she’s about to do something that makes the JPs look bad, she’s gonna think twice. Hey, I’m only trying to help here.

Anyway, thanks all for the AC blogging. I missed the show….got to boston and just crashed. Have a lovely day all and stop creating drama where there’s none.

bwahaaha JANE PITT got fried!dougy should say something!

In a way, the dedicated caregiver Jolie was the perfect choice to play a strong gracious and stoic spirit like Mariane, and least of all because of her acting talent.

Jolie, the actress, was not born to play Mariane Pearl. Jolie, the mother, has earned the right.

wow the NY POST wrote that? crazy! well in their own way the wrote a not that negative article about angie

New interview with MTV News
****************

It’s difficult enough for any actor to disappear into a role. Now try doing it when you’ve got one of the most recognizable faces on the planet, which is splattered virtually every week on a magazine cover. Such was the task facing Angelina Jolie as she played Mariane Pearl in “A Mighty Heart.”

Directed by acclaimed British filmmaker Michael Winterbottom (of “24 Hour Party People” and “Wonderland” fame), the film recounts the tragic story of Wall Street Journal reporter Daniel Pearl, who was murdered after following a lead in post-9/11 Pakistan five years ago.

MTV News spoke to Jolie about the film, the legacy she wants to leave and her battles with the press, which continue even as she promotes this movie.

(Watch our full chat with Jolie here.)

MTV: Unlike some real women you’ve played in the past, like Gia [Carangi in HBO's "Gia"] and Cornelia Wallace [in TNT's "George Wallace"], you actually know Mariane Pearl pretty well. So how did you approach portraying her?

Angelina Jolie: I did know her a little, and I’ve gotten to know her more since. It took it out of being kind of an acting job. This was going to represent a time and a message for a family that I’ve come to know and care about. They’re my friends. And so the responsibility of that became really daunting and more pressure than I’ve ever had on anything. And yet [Mariane] is so gracious and just wants everyone to do their best and would not have been a hard critic.

MTV: Like you, Mariane was the focal point of intense media scrutiny through this ordeal.

Jolie: The things that were misprinted put her husband’s life in more danger, like somebody being careless enough to report that [Daniel] was dead, when he wasn’t yet. That kind of misuse of journalism is so disgusting. It is something that I have not had to confront. But I do know slightly what it feels like to be under attack when you’re having a private moment — certainly nothing to the extent of what she felt. I imagine it 100 times what I feel. It must have been horrible.

MTV: The film works on a number of levels. It’s a thriller, a mystery, even a love story. How does it play for you?

Jolie: You know, when you’re in something, it’s hard to analyze it. I did think that Michael did an amazing job of making it feel very real, capturing the energy of the case, the feeling of Pakistan, the chaos. This film could have been very difficult to watch. And somehow Michael navigated his way through it, to make it clear and interesting and not too complicated.

MTV: As we speak, you are probably one of the most famous people on the planet. Do you feel your fame gets in the way of promoting a film like this?

Jolie: I suppose, but if I really believed it would have been a negative too much, I wouldn’t have done the film. I would have stepped off. I believed in this, and Mariane believed that the heart of the film would surface beyond anything else.

MTV: What are your priorities now in terms of your film work, in terms of the body of work you want to leave behind?

Jolie: I feel very proud of a film like this. And I feel very fortunate that I’ve had a chance to work on great projects. I’m looking forward to a film I get to do with Clint Eastwood ["The Changeling"]. It’s so cool, and it’s a great script. What an amazing chance to work with an amazing man, a hero of mine. I don’t have big dreams of how many more things I want to do. I want to spend a lot of time with my family. I want to travel. I’d like to be less in the public eye. [She laughs.] So we shall see.

MTV: Recently there was a lot of attention given to the agreement your representatives asked journalists to sign, asking that they refrain from personal questions. It seems like the majority of the press on this film has concerned that story.

Jolie: I think the majority of the stories have been about the film. And I think that certain news outlets have decided to try to make it about other things. I’m glad it was cleared up between me and my representation. I didn’t know [the agreement] was out there. It was excessive, and I’m glad it was corrected. But I know why they did it, and I appreciate what they were trying to protect. And that is it.

MTV: A request like that seems ironic since you more than anybody have been so open throughout your career.

Jolie: I feel like I’m a pretty candid person.

MTV: Do you ever just want to scream, “What more can I give you? For a decade I’ve been telling you what’s on my mind!”

Jolie: Let’s go have a cup of coffee! [She laughs.] I can cry on your shoulder. Yeah, I feel like I’ve had a very open relationship with the press. And I’ve only just asked, when I could, to try to protect my family and some privacy. But I’ve never blocked a journalist from a serious story, and I never would think to do that. That would be a horrible thing to do.

Angelina Jolie Reveals ‘Mighty’ Challenge Of Playing Slain Reporter’s Wife
Actress says she felt ‘more pressure’ portraying Mariane Pearl in ‘A Mighty Heart’ than on any project.

commonsense!!! @ 06/21/2007 at 8:15 am

People!!!!!!

listen I understand AJ is doing good deed for the world.

However, if her father thought she needed help, it must be true.

I surelly don’t believe that her behaviour could have changed so fast. The change was too drastic.

It is too good to be true!!!

I hope that BP will be able to help her, because those kids sure needs love.

Peace!!!

What

They are cracking me up!!!

They are really loonies!!!!

African Girl @ 06/21/2007 at 8:23 am

Of all the things AJ said during the interview….she not being a wife is what some people picked out? They talked about the rape of little children….but AJ saying she’s not is wife is what stuck with some. Well, it’s no wonder the world is the way it is….people fixate on the wrong thing.

I can also see why some people don’t llike AJ…..she makes them think of things they’d rather not. It’s easy to talk about hair, fashion and the latest vacation spot but anyone who tries to make them look beyond that….is the evil. *shakes head* It’s sad.

You have a different mind every single time you come on this blog.

Yesterday you were picking on JA physical appearance. So, what is your point???

sad sad!!!!

That was a different African girl, who posted yesterday about JA. This one posting now is our African Girl, and she has a very good point.

We have common instinct about Angie :)

Angelina is the DEVIL! @ 06/21/2007 at 8:33 am

*******************************
I really dont think its Brad who doesnt want to get married, he loves his children and i think its in his best interest if he marries Angie, as she can just take the kids easily with her if they are not married.

I think both are really just taking their time especially Angie, her track record for amrriage is ave 3 years, and i think she will agree to marry him, once they past the 3 years, and its coming very soon. Well, im hoping!

Anyway, i just hope that Brad would be more open about his feelings for Angie and how she is a person, as a mother and partner, I think it would really diminish the negative press on her. Although actions speak louder than words, but it doesnt really work in this tabloid world.
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Why on earth would Brad defend/speak up/open up about his feelings to someone who doesn’t want to be his WIFE?

He obviously (and rightly so) doesn’t TRUST her, so he’s not gonna speak nicely about her for fear of having those comments thrown back in his face at a later date.
