Again, it has NOTHING to do with faith in BP and AJ’s relationship. It has to do with, from what in my view, was a STUPID, ill advised move from a spinning/PR standpoint.

It has to do with me not understanding why there was a need to comment on the status of the Pitts’ relationship with JA at all. As you and others have said, they don’t feel the need to comment on every tabloid story about Angie, Brad/Angie, their kids, so why this one? Why clarify what was going on at this “meeting” at all?

Sure, they’ve said a small number of nice things about Angie in the past. And sure, they’ve visited, WHEN BRAD WAS THERE. How do you know his family doesn’t just suck it up and put up with Angie only because Brad loves her and wants to be with her? You don’t, just like I don’t know what the opposite, that they genuinely like her, isn’t true either.

Lol….I’m sorry but some of you are acting like children. Honestly, are you serious with this anger? My Goodness, I don’t know what to say….but amazing. I guess you have very little faith in AJ and BP’s relationship and this is is the saddest thing of all.

Has it occured to you that the Pitts can say all they want till they’re blue in the face and the tabloids will still run with whatever they want. The Pitts don’t have to come out and say they love AJ, their actions speaks for itself….going to Namibia when Shiloh was born, going to New Orleans, opening their homes to them, being a big part of their moment (The Premier of AHM) and so much more that I can remember at the top of my head…..yet some fans forget this and are oh so ready to throw them under the train just because JP went to a 2 hour lunch with JA. Sad….very sad.

It is time for all to move on. All the mature adults involved in this madeup soap opera clearly have. The plain truth is clear, Brad and Angelina and their four kids are together and going about their family life in Prague, just as Angelina said they would be. JA is a “friend”, that’s a bland neutral description. Doug Pitt has said in the past that they love Angelina, he most correctly did not mention Angelina’s name as the question was about JP’s visit with JA. Doug Pitt is not supporting any false triangle that does not exist execept in the tabs. Peace is in the air people, Angelina is reaching out to her dad. She has remained friends with her ex’s and everyone knows that. When Brad and JA firsr separated they said that they hoped to remain friends and initially were until the whole tabloid war/team crap broke out. Now all are saying the tabs can go to hell, this is their lives, and they will live them as they see fit.

The whole team crap is passe, over, done. Brad has made his choice, it is Angelina and their children. That is obvious. The posters thinking that he would go back to Prague only to break up are into fantasy, they know the truth but just do not want to accept it. JA can now move on with her life after the horrendous PR missteps she has made and find whatever she needs in her life. All is well.

It doesn’t have anything to do with Brad and Angelina’s relationship but everything to do with all the bad mouthing Aniston has done to Brad. It’s okay with his parents and brother and sister that she’s done that?

Everything you read is not true. Brad’s family always have been fond of jen. You have to remember they don’t live in L.A or are liberals, they live in MO and are a very low key and religious family.

For them jen was easier and lovely, angelina is another kind of animal, it’s not their fault and it’s not angelina’s either.

They don’t hate angelina but they do like jen more.

Doug didn’t mention angelina on the people article because it was about jen and how much they still like her. They have to mention that she and Brad are friends because how do you think it’s going to look if they say: Brad hates Jen, but us (his family) love her!

That would be INSANE.

Jen is outside trying to look in. There was a article written about Doug throwing Jen a bone, where he was talking about his family’s love for Angelina at a meeting in Missouri. They are trying to be civil.

Jolie, Pitt expecting, brother confirms

Doug Pitt confirmed to the News-Leader on Wednesday that Angelina Jolie is expecting a baby with his brother, Brad Pitt. It’s the first biological child for Jolie, 30, and Pitt, 42.

People magazine quotes Jolie telling a charity aid worker, “Yes, I’m pregnant,” in the Dominican Republic where she’s filming “The Good Shepherd.”

Doug Pitt says the family is elated.

Doug maintains that while his brother’s divorce didn’t change how the family feels about Jennifer Aniston, they welcome Jolie.

“My thing is, why wouldn’t I? Of course we do. And any discussion outside of that is personally insulting.”

Doug won’t say how long he and his family have known Jolie was pregnant. Though he knew official confirmation was imminent, he dreaded that day.

He was in the shower when his wife told him the news was on the “Today Show.”

“And I thought, ‘Here we go. Here we go.’ I started answering the (cell) phone before I got to work,” he says.

When Brad is in the news, invariably Doug’s phone starts ringing in Springfield.

And when he’s not, it’s quiet. “Unfortunately,” Doug says laughing, “he’s in the news a lot.”

On Wednesday, Doug fielded nearly two dozen calls from media worldwide. The only call not from media was a woman who offered to be Brad and Angelina’s nanny.

Jenny Paul, a reporter with Showbiz News in the United Kingdom, recognizes the world’s fascination with Brad Pitt.

“Brad is definitely the number one favorite with the public and therefore with magazine or newspaper editors,” she tells the News-Leader in an e-mail. “Especially now he’s with Angelina Jolie. The news that they are expecting a child together now is absolutely huge.”

As to whether families of other celebrities encounter the spotlight like Springfield’s Pitts, she writes: “Yes it is very common. It’s not always the case that families are not willing to talk to journalists.

“Of course, you get the people who understandably slam the phone down on you or shut the door in your face. It’s not my favorite part of the job — but it is a part of the job.”

Doug knows tabloids are big business. Which is why he and other family members say they wish the American public would stop buying them.

Nothing compares to 2005 after Brad and Aniston announced their separation a year ago this week. Not only have calls increased, says Doug, but photos and comments attributed to family members by unnamed “sources close to the family” show up more than ever.

Could friends in Springfield be talking?

“Absolutely not,” he says. Their most trusted friends wouldn’t say anything.

Doug and his sister, Julie Neal, were incredulous when shown that one magazine ran photos of their Springfield homes.

Two months ago, Doug says, a couple of area residents tried to set him up by planting a “Team Aniston” sticker on his car and taking a photo. Doug thwarted the attempt and got the police involved.

Something he said in a Rotary Club meeting showed up in magazines and sped through the Internet. The comment — that his family likes Jolie, but that they like Aniston, too — was an off-the-cuff remark.

“You know, I’ll have to call that an amateur moment on my part,” he says. “Somehow it got from there to the world. And I’m not sure of the path but at this point it doesn’t matter. I should have known better.”

It’s not that he didn’t say it. What bothered him is that it “wasn’t for public consumption.”

He won’t ever break personal news about his brother, he says, though he occasionally shares family reaction with People magazine, “and my local newspaper just because it’s where I live, and outside of that, if it says I said it: I didn’t.”

Last July, the Australian tabloid New Weekly quoted Doug saying Jolie was pregnant.

Never mind the information is obviously wrong. Doug had never spoken to the magazine and only knew about the quote because he got calls on his cell phone from around the world.

“It’s my business phone, and I had to turn it off.”

That’s when he contacted his lawyers.

He’s prepared to go after any publication that prints lies involving his name, he says.

“They’re moving into my livelihood here, and when that happens, it’s time to push back.”

Yes, he says, he complained to Brad. Asked about his brother’s reaction, Doug says Brad laughed and jokingly said, “Welcome to my world.”

“Exactly. Your world,” Doug recalls his own reply.

“I didn’t sign up for this.”

Doug said in an interview that he only talks to people because he knows Brad’s relationship with people,he doesn’t have to ask Brad.You can tell people phoned him-did you think he was going to say x is not a friend.Those who are intelligent know that he is being civil.

Cortney Cox said “I dont think he started an affair physically,but I think he was attracted to her.there was a connection and he was honest about that with Jen.Most of the time,when people are attracted to other people,they don’t tell.at least he was honest about it.It was an attraction that he fought for a period of time.”

Andrea Bendewald said”I think Jen wanted to work it out but I dont think he wanted to work it out”Brad wanted out of that marriage.

After all this Jen fans should be ashamed to even want her back with Brad.She will be the biggest joke of the whole world.

it is very commendable of brad and angie in providing their children with learning opportunities, wherever they are. Enrolling the children in pre-schools enable their children to learn not just cognitive skills but most importantly, social skills. also, having their education in an international school allows the children to continue the program whenever they go back to the states.

The statement Doug gave was an attempt to STOP all the drama.He basically said “All parties have moved on and there are no ill feelings so stop the chaos!!”. It’s just that simple.

Are you saying that Doug Pitt told People magazine that they like and care for Jennifer Aniston more then Angelina? I don’t believe that. Jane Pitt nor anyone in her family has been seen w/Jennifer for 2 yrs. And any mother who’s worth her weight would be horrified by Aniston’s behavior over these almost three years. Let alone the horrible comments about Brad in VF.

If that’s true? I’m especially heartbroken for Angelina that her mother is gone at this time. These Pitt’s for MO are just that then, the Pitts

While I agree with you that they don’t have to and shouldn’t have to answer to ever stupid lie that the stupid tabloids put out and that they’re more mature about those things than most of us that love and support them are, you can’t honestly think that Doug Pitt utters one word to the press without Brad’s express approval or that of his reps. Please. He asks Brad’s explicit permission about what to comment on and when to comment and whom to issue the comment to.

Why do you think family members of celebs, when contacted by the media, always stay on script? Just ask Jen about how family can say things that you do not approve of or want out there. Why do you think she has a very bad or nonexistent relationship with her mother? Think about it..

It has been almost 3 years, people have moved on and made peace with all that happen — you guy’s should do the same.
