Fashion Faceoff: Giambattista Valli Dress
Sarah Jessica Parker dressed quite appropriately for a special screening of Bee Movie at NYC’s Museum of Modern Art on Tuesday. The Sex and the City star wore a strapless black, white and yellow Valli dress and toted around a simple black clutch.
Jessica Biel arrived at the Valli party during Paris Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2008 wearing the same fresh-from-the-catwalk Valli dress but accented the bustline with ruffled trim. The former 7th Heaven actress also toted around a simple black clutch but formalized her look a bit with a pearl necklace.

biel does not look interesting. she has a great bod but nothing more. jessica on the other hand owns the dress! and she looks so sophisticated. biel has not yet reached that kind of sophistication. my opinion…

sjp…definitely..with such a bold pattern you have to keep it simple. on biel the neckless(pearls for sake) and the jacket make it all too much and trying too hard.

SJP for sure. I don’t like the dress at all, but it looks good on Sarah (but what doesn’t?). On Jessica it look likes grandma’s dress. Especially with the ruffled trim and the pearls around her neck.

*SJP* … definitely! For one thing, most excellent shoes (surprise, surprise) for the style & pattern of the dress. Overall, just presents the dress better: sleek & uncluttered.
Sarah Jessica Parker can’t wear anything well because she looks like a tranny.
Let me say this first. Not such a fan of Sarah (outside of SATC) and not so much a fan of Jessica Biel’s acting, either. Jessica looks very frumpy in this outside despite being in her 20’s. Sarah Jessica Parker looks a LOT better than this and she’s in her 40’s! She’s a fashion icon, anyway.
Not that I like the dress overall, bue Beil looks classier and definitely more modest, just needs to undo the button, hides the great scalloped neckline.
