School’s Out for the Jolie-Pitts!
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie bring big brother Maddox, 5, to pick up Pax, 3, and Zahara, 2, from school at the American Embassy compound on a very wet Thursday afternoon in Prague, Czech Republic.
School might be out for Pax and Zee, one of them made a green graduation cap!
Maddox looks like he got a hair-cut… and he’s getting so big!
Watch the video of the Jolie-Pitts here. It’s quite cute to watch Maddox and Pax running through the rain!!

Hello to Tracy in sunny South Africa! :D I love that scene too. I think they fell for each other long before they really realized it.

she maybe single an all but if this Billy Crudup’s car ends parked outside her house overnight for a few nights, that is going to be 3 guys in less than 6 to 8 weeks. Anyway you spell that it spells nasty.
==========
LMAO, sctually Billy Crudup is the fourth guy in less than 6-8 weeks. remember Ryan K.,the producer which they kissed passionately at the b-day bash of VV,and several intimate dinners thereafter as reported by Us mag. that guy is in between VV, PMBP, BC.
CLINIQUA, how are ya? Once again I cannot sleep. Loved your posts as always, even if we aren’t on the same page politically…you are a terrific writer. Everything is bugging me this week–the Jane thing, the Ted thing, the extra press for X thing. Its been a very grumpy week and shoudn’t have been because Angie and Brad have triumphed over and over again. Thanks, Jane, once again…
Did you see Maddox trying to skip? That little guy is so happy and secure. Pax will also get there. I loved seeing the glimpse into their lives where he reached up to Brad when it thundered, and Brad just scooped him up. Sigh.
Peace!
#27 Joey, why would they need to alert the paps when they go about their parental stuff? The paps have pretty much permanently fixed their telelenses on the family anyway, so regardless what they do, it’ll be on camera… You’re so simplistic in that way of thinking it boggles me. If it would sell I’m sure the paps would be happy to print AND release the shots of the other paps all waiting around wherever Angie & Co are rumored to be located. Witness the so-called reality show called “Paparazzi” where it’s a look behind what it is they ‘do’ (cough, not much, cough) when they’re trying to catch pics, not much difference between waiting and stalking…
Well, I’ve already wasted a couple of minutes typing this, which someone like you would most likely be bound to disagree with anyway, just for the sake of it, but that’s ok, coz I feel I’m pointing how illogical your line of thought was.
Re karma, it doesn’t always ‘bite’ per se, as you seem to simplistically equate karma with ‘bad karma’; there is also ‘good karma’ when you reap from previous good actions. It shows how stereotypically little your understanding of ‘karma’ really is, gives the impression that you’re a judgemental…but hey, maybe that’s what YOUR dharma is. ;)
ALA LANG
A Mighty Heart (2007)
…she’s given exceptional, deservedly award winning performances in Girl, Interrupted (1999) and HBO’s Gia (1998) is rarely broached. Granted, Jolie hasn’t exactly burnished her reputation by chewing the scenery to bits in Alexander (2004) and coasting on her smoky allure in Mr. and Mrs. Smith (2005), but she’s eminently capable of checking her movie star baggage to play life-size characters-as she does with immense conviction and subtlety in A Mighty Heart, Michael Winterbottom’s gripping adaptation of Marianne Pearl’s memoir. Free of cheap sentiment, this crisply intelligent and nerve-fraying film pays eloquent tribute to the slain Wall Street Journal reporter Danny Pearl and his wife, six months pregnant at the time of his kidnapping.
Written for the screen by John Orloff (Band of Brothers), A Mighty Heart opens on January 23, 2002, in the bustling cacophony of Karachi, Pakistan. That day, Danny (Dan Futterman) bid Marianne and friend/fellow journalist Asra Nomani (Archie Panjabi) goodbye and left to interview a source regarding the Al-Qaeda trained “shoe bomber” Richard Reid. When Danny failed to return that night for dinner, Marianne and Asra turned to Wall Street Journal editor Paul Bussey (Denis O’Hare), U.S. Consulate security specialist Randall Bennett (Will Patton), and the Pakistani authorities, led by “Captain” (Irfan Khan), to find Danny. In the confusing, frantic days that follow, as U.S. and Pakistani authorities pursue a bewildering number of leads, both valid and false, on the trail of Danny’s kidnappers, Marianne steels herself to present a serene face to the world in television interviews, pleading for her husband’s safe release. Privately, however, she agonizes over the fate of Danny, whom the kidnappers have accused of being a spy for the CIA and Mossad, respectively. Her vigil will come to a tragic end, with the release of a horrific video, “The Slaughter of the Spy-Journalist, the Jew Daniel Pearl,” on February 21, 2002.
It’s hard to think of an established filmmaker better suited to bringing Pearl’s story to the screen than Winterbottom (Welcome to Saravejo), both in terms of his humanistic ideology and cinematic aesthetic. In his films, In This World (2002) and The Road to Guantanamo (2006), Winterbottom refutes egregious stereotypes of Muslims as wild-eyed, religious extremists to depict them in nuanced fashion. And his hand-held, naturalistic approach to filmmaking, with its emphasis on improvisation and dramatic understatement, holds bathos and contrivance at bay throughout A Mighty Heart, which recalls Fred Schepsi’s A Cry in the Dark (1989) in its dry-eyed, quasi-documentary rendering of potentially sensational material. Whereas another, less subtle director might have crassly exploited the Pearls’ story for maximum, tear-jerking effect, Winterbottom wisely realizes the events depicted onscreen are already so well-known that embellishing them, simply to heighten the tension, would be insulting and offensive. A Mighty Heart instead unfolds like a crackling procedural drama, taking you step-by-exhausting-step through the hunt for his kidnappers. That it’s often difficult to glean all the narrative particulars of who’s who and their relationship to the kidnapping gives A Mighty Heart a bracing immediacy that only deepens our identification with Marianne and the others, as they struggle to sort through the mountain of clues and false leads.
Of course, many cynics won’t be able to get past Jolie’s celebrity to see her as anything but a self-aggrandizing movie star, deigning to play a real-life heroine in a bid for another Oscar (between Third World adoptions, that is). However, there’s nothing diva-esque about Jolie’s performance in A Mighty Heart. Yes, it’s initially a little jarring to see her wearing a wig and skin bronzer, and speaking with a slight French accent, to transform herself into Pearl, who’s of Afro-Cuban, Dutch, and Asian descent. But Jolie gives such a beautifully modulated performance, free of histrionics, that only a complete churl would find fault with her in the role. She’s backed by an equally wonderful cast, with actor/writer Futterman (an Oscar nominee for his Capote screenplay) making the very most of his relatively brief screen time as Danny Pearl.
wHAT A WONDERFUL WORLD…^^
Look at that bounce is Maddox’s step! He’s seriously the coolest kid ever.

RE THE TED C SMEAR: If you change “boyfriend” to “husband” you probably have POSH! To me the ‘Fake a la Ferocity’ is key. Posh has a fierce stare that is commented on endlessly and the biggest FAKE boobs on the radar at the moment. I definitely think the ‘fake’ points to someone with a boob job in any case…

Most certain, it’s a lie. 99,9999…% of what those people write are lies. But worse than the lie is that those people dont have the balls to speak clear…

EXACTLY ! You can’t even sued them bcos he didn’t give the exact name. that’s how trashy is this gossip columnist.
I still remember the Vietnamese ophanage had stated that the adopted parents including Angie will be monitored or will have a regular home visit by the social worker every 3 months consecutively for 1-2 years to be sure she is responsible mother. If she’s on drug, Pax will be taken back by the Vietnamese authority ASAP. but we didn’t see that happening.
Who wrote #881? Very, very funny! CLINIQUA, I don’t think you write under any other name, but it sounded a bit like you..
Tracy, I loved that scene and always had the same impression. His smile is real! I wonder what kiss from the movie was the first one they experienced together, in rehearsal or otherwise? That is a good trivia question.

I am in love with you. I thank for what you say. People seem to be soooo blinded by the bling bling culture of today that they attack and ruin people who are more than that.
I never wanted to attack Jen, but what on earth is that heffer getting sooooo much praise for. Just like Paris Hilton, Jennifer Aniston doesn’t do anything.
I also think what Jane did was real bad timing and wrong. Bill Zwecker is suck a jerkbag, I hate we live in the same city.
I can’t wait to see A MIGHTY HEART today. I hope all the intelligent people in Chicago check it out. I also was thought Chicago was just as smart as New York, but Bill Zwecker is such a douche.

and once they started, they never stopped!!
All these people c r a p ping on about how thin Angie is, get over it. She’s had very valid reasons for losing weight to begin with, and if you can’t even relate to losing someone you dearly, dearly love and how unbelievably sad that can make you feel, well, perhaps you’re not even human, or simply one so immunune from feeling anything whatsoever. She KNOWS about it, she WANTS to put more weight back on, so at least she’s not skinny just because it’s the in thing to do or that it’ll get her roles, etc. There are literally dozens of catwalk models who are as skinny as Angie, some thinner still, perhaps you should be fake-concerned about them instead (the ones who are pretending to be fans but simply passive-aggressively picking on her, they think it’ll give them a pass, that the real fans will believe them…). She loves her children and I don’t believe she would jeopardize her health because she wants to be there for them for a long, long time to come. And even though she’s skinny, she’s strong enough to carry two kids at a time. You can be slim/skinny AND strong. Her partner is still by her side, he’s supporting her regardless of what it says when she steps on a scale. So, go Angie! Man, I’d love to cook for her…
Oops, I meant to type ‘immune’ above…sorry! :)
