Fashion Faceoff: Bottega Veneta Dress
Katie Holmes donned a short Bottega Veneta plissé goddess dress while enjoying a Wednesday morning out in the South of France with hubby Tom Cruise and baby Suri. The dress is a purple take on the rose version seen on the runway.

I pick Katie because she made it her own giving it a personality, its fun,its summery,its refreshing,vibrance.

Model! KT looks like she’s just come out of the shower with hair dripping of water and put on the wrong dress, I’m not impressed!

Much as I love Katie Holmes, I think the dress is unflattering on her - it’s too frumpy at the top and her legs are ‘wide’ and that cut emphasisies that, it just doesnt suit her, so I go with the Runway model.

The model b/c the color goes better with her skin tone and her sillouette looks way better than Katie. She looks frumpy in that dress.

whereas, katie is just chilling and looking lovely/ fun. but seriously, her posture is bad bad bad! she looks frumpy (boobs), there’s something wrong with her legs (too thick) and her hair (agree with someone above, makes her look old)

Model - Katie’s calves do not go well with this dress. Not to mention the boobs - awful.
But to be honest Katie’s face is much prettier than the model’s - so she still wins.

Katie all the way…she gave the dress personality, vibrance, life…
tom ages her 10+ years. what was with the dress from the wedding - nicole kidman is 40 and would have never worn such a thing! she dresses way TOO old. but maybe it’s to match her grandma legs.
It looks like Katie went bra-less, and that ruined the shape.
Aside from badly needing a stylist that knows how to flatter Katie’s body…she needs to wear her clothes rather than let her clothes wear her.

The model, but only because Katie neglected to find an undergarment that would ensure that the dress stays where it SHOULD stay…It’s too bad, too…because Katie is 100x prettier than the model..
Katie’s face by a long shot, she looks ALIVE and HAPPY! But the wet hair I still can’t figure out. But I am still insisting on her getting a stick on push-up bra! She would have rocked this dress if she would have worn a bra snd STOOD UP STRAIGHT! This is hitting her at very much the wrong spot on the legs, she just has big calves compared to her body. Heels would have helped a good bit.

I am sorry because i have nothing against KH but, the color doesn’t suit her she is too white for that, not to mention the black shoes, I am sorry but she didn’t make anything new on tat look neither fresh or summer, not to mention the shape as I agree with all of you but that is not her fault, her fault is to choose a dress that doesn’t suit her at all.
An d yes, we do can talk about it as she is the first person after VB to dress in case the media is there so this look has been previously studied although wrong, from my point of view.
When stars are so damn rich I expect them to dress better than models when they are photographed for us by the paps.

KH bust line and legs looks awful. She has a very strange body. Her legs are so big and her top is so small that it’s like she’s straight up and down with no real definition. If fact, I think the width of her legs is more than the width of her upper body. Also, that length hair makes her look like the 40 yo she’s become.
Its ugly no matter who wears it.
The model’s dress has a structured square nech and some double-stick tape action to keep it in place-It looks so much better. Sorry to say that I agree-Katie looks frumpy. Her figure looked much better in the Missoni-esque mini skirt.

Katie definitely has log-legs…they look like tree trunks. Totally out of proportion to the rest of her thin bod…she needs to stay out of the mini-skirts and short dresses.
Of course, hands down kick you’re ass the, runway model! I do prefer the purple color.

Hmm..well I’d say that the upper half of katie’s body pretty much ruined that dress. Something needs to be done there, and for the upper half the model wins. But i think that the models legs look a little sickly..so katie wins for lower half.

I don’t think that it’s fair to compare the two pictures. The dress the model is wearing has a square,halter-like neck, whereas the one Katie is wearing has a scoop neck. If Katie was wearing a bra that would help too,but those dresses are not the same anyway. The other reason KH’s legs look thicker is because she is wearing flats and the model is in heels.
That’s a stupid question ! The model is way hotter than KH.
