OlderBritney Spears: No New Music ‘Till 2008
Everybody’s been dying to hear what Britney Spears has been cooking up in the music studio but her rep, Leslie Sloan Zelnick, told Life & Style yesterday that Britney’s album won’t drop until 2008.
“I put her on hiatus,” Zelnik says. “Brit’s album is pushed until ’08. If she has no album, there’s no reason to do anything. I’m representing her in theory right now. I said that since the album is pushed back until ’08, let’s go on hiatus until we have a campaign to do.”
One music-industry insider attributes the delay to Britney’s creative struggles. “I’m surprised the album wasn’t pushed back to ’09 — everything’s up in the air with the album right now,” the insider says. “Jive [Records, Brit's label] hated the songs Britney was coming up with, except for a few. The executives are not happy. And she didn’t want to listen to anyone. Everything was a problem for her. They wanted her to work with certain people, and she wanted the opposite.”
Come on Brit Brit, step it up!

that’s not true…
WTF!?!?!? This girl is seriously a lot dumber than any of us give her credit for. After her divorce announcement she was poised to take over Madonnas throne and she single handedly threw everything away and continues to trash any possible successes. I hate to say this but i think we may see Britney in Playboy after all.
SO SAD. Whatever, there hasnt been anyone that has preformed like Brit (back in her glory days) in a long time and i think some little twit needs to realize that and get dancing and doing their situps because there is a void to fill.
Britney Spears is a talentless *****, always has been. She is a puppet for her record company, she should listen to them. The reason they put her album back is probably because she’s so fat right now, and she has some really shallow fans who only buy her records and are fans of hers because of her image. She has no substance and no talent.
