I saw A Mighty Heart and loved it. She deserves all the awards she can get as well as the Director and Producers. Love Brad and Angie. God Bless.

First, Angie steals Jen’s Brad, then her Oscar?

If Angelina Jolie gets nominated for another Academy Award, it’s safe to assume that there’s one vote she won’t get: new academy member Jennifer Aniston.

The role of Mariane Pearl in “A Mighty Heart,” remember, was originally to be played by Jen, who was so wowed by the book that her and Brad Pitt’s production company, Plan B, picked up the film rights.

“Friends” was just winding down back in those days and TV’s biggest female star worried whether she could cross over successfully to film. Taking on a hefty, dramatic movie role terrified her, but “I can see it,” Jen told Vogue. “I would love to think that I could” pull it off.

However, when Brad ran off with Angie, he took Plan B with him in the divorce deal. And guess who ended up getting the role?

Soon after “Friends”-less Jen ventured into film, she was nominated for a Razzie as the Worst New Star, but, happily, she “lost” to Pamela Anderson, who was failing to make the leap (bouncing all the while) from TV (”Baywatch”) to film (”Barbed Wire”).

Jeff Wells of Hollywood-Elsewhere.com doesn’t think Aniston would’ve won over the hearts of Oscar voters as Mariane Pearl.

“Jennifer Aniston is not a bad actress, but she’s not right for ‘A Mighty Heart,’” he says. “No casting director in their right mind would say, ‘Let’s try Aniston in the role.’ For one thing, she’s not right physically. She’s not exotic like Jolie and she can’t pull off that French/ Italian/ north African accent. Putting Aniston in “A Mighty Heart’ would be like casting Marlene Dietrich as Dorothy in ‘The Wizard of Oz.’”

Since leaving “Friends,” Jen has starred in several film bombs and has managed occasional good reviews here and there, but she hasn’t fully, successfully crossed over into movies — and certainly not into Oscar territory.

Now, as Oscar buzz builds for Angie, surely, Jen, somewhere in Malibu, is reading reviews of the movie she launched, wondering . . . hmmmm . . . while her mighty heart breaks again.

This embarrassment could have all been avoided if in the very beginning when AMH statred filming JA had said she was never slated to play the role. But it worked in her favor then that big bad AJ stole yet another thing from poor put upon JA. Now that the movie is out and AJ is getting critical acclaim for her performance and people are left to think what JA’s performance would have been like in comparison (since she never issued a denial that she was suppose to play the role) it isn’t working in medicore talent, trail of men staying over at her house, walking smart water bulletin board JA. In fact it is only highlighting that she hasn’t made the crossover in film and that she isn’t talent enough to pull off heavy drama.

We’re in June by the time November rolls in angelina’s performance will be forgotten. That’s the way hollywood works, they don’t give oscars to the best actors, they give oscars because of the timing and how well the studio does the campaing.

Angelina’s performance is amazing yet is released in the wrong part of the year. AHM will need make money for oscars voters to still remember but that’s not the case. Paramount made a mistake because fall movies are all about good reviews and not about box office, just check cate blanchet (notes on scandal) penelope cruz (volver) last year but with a early summer release money counts, maybe Brad Grey and John lesher didn’t want to deal with angelina in oscar season.

IDA. Think crash, it came out in the summer was on DVD by December and went on to win best picture. Infact Don Cheadle has a movie coming out soon in limited release that the studio plans to market just like a migthy heart. With release dates well in to the winter. It is said his performance is almost guareented to get him an oscar nom. He is said to be that fabulous in this movie where he plays a radio disc jokey.

They’re really such a perfect couple: Angie was in the car, waiting for her man, ready to go, while Brad was taking pics of the city, I guess.. It seemed like Angie had a map with her..They looked like Mr and Mrs Smith..
