Brad Pitt: The Next Naomi Campbell?

Brad Pitt: The Next Naomi Campbell?

SEXY IN A SUIT.

Brad Pitt was spotted throwing his cell phone — will he have to start serving community service like Naomi Campbell?

Methinks not!

Bradley was filming the second segment of his Japanese cell phone commercial for Softbank on Monday afternoon in Prague, Czech Republic. (See the first segment here.)

The father-of-four looked super sleek in an all-black suit, working up a range of emotions as he walked a runway with passing businessmen (well, people acting like businessmen).

Check out the thumbnails cell of Brad getting his cell phone throwing on…

The tragic death of DP has been reduced to bankable project for Hollywood; undeniably AJ & BP have tried to raise their popularity to a higher level with the story of this man. Hence, the numerous PRs they did for this movie.

++++++++++++++++++

Why don’t you go talk to Sam, AMH WIll Bomb, Twila and the rest of YOUR alters? According to her/them because the movie isn’t doing Spidey and/or Pirates type “bank”, the movie is a failure. Therefore your logic is flawed. Furthermore, had the intent been to make a gazillion dollars off the death of Danny Pearl this movie would’ve been some overwrought melodrama starring Halle Berry and looked like a MOTW. It doesn’t and isn’t, therefore it’s not meant to be a huge moneymaker.

You’re full of horse manure. On Sunday there was a post here from a PASTOR who had no problem with Brad & Angie’s unwed state. Go back to the Brad & Angie Book It Outta Bilboa thread and find the message yourself.

There’s nothing worse than bible thumpers who force THEIR beliefs down other people’s throats. If you are stupid enough to so narrowly interpret EVERYTHING you read in the bible, then why in the hell do you have a computer and post on celebrity gossip blogs? It’s funny that in your zealousness to live so devoutly by the scriptures that you missed the passage that said “Judge not lest ye be judged yourself?”

I rest my case. You can’t even decypher a simply blog comment saying the movie wasn’t intended to make a huge profit. So your siding with Nomani makes perfect sense because you obviously don’t see that her issue with the movie is a moot point - it was not her decision to make. End of story.

I just don’t understand why people are so upset at Ms. Nomani for expressing her views.

Just like some of us don’t understand why Ms. Nomani is upset at Marianne Pearle for expressing HER views, HER feeling over the tragic death of HER husband

For crying out loud, DP & MP were in her house during DP’s research on what happened during September 11; and he died while her wife was staying Ms. Nomani’s house. Of course, she should voice her opinion if she feels that the movie does not capture the real DP, her friend and colleague (your comment about her being in love with DP is indicative of a lack of maturity in your reasoning; even if she was in love with him, that still does not change her point).

No one is disputing that she was an integral part of the search for DP but at the end of the day, she isn’t his wife who was pregnant with their child when he was taken.

Yes, some of you will say AMH is not about DP, which is fine. However, without his death this movie would have never happened. So, her point is that she does not feel that they properly portrayed DP. Second, she questions why are we, today’s society, so eager to create a hero out of woman, MP, who did her job as a wife.

Well, maybe she does deserve to be made a hero of. We live in a society where being weak, being whiny is the norm, where people use their tragedy as a crutch for whatever goes wrong with their lives. So yeah, if People want to take an inspirational page from MP’s book, why begrudge them of it? What is really sad here is that our society is so full of weak people that when we do see someone who shows strength in character, we automatically think “Wow, she must be wonder woman?”. Seriously, are we saying being tolerant, being forgiving, being hopeful in a hopeless situation, are traits of someone super human being?

Anyway, I don’t think MP is trying to be anybody’s hero, instead, her message is - Don’t let people and circumstances make a victim of you. Let’s be real here….If MP had decided to wear a mourning garb for he rest of her life and cried so the world can hear how she has suffered so… no one will bat an eye. Why, I can see them shaking their heads in pity saying “Poor, Marianne…Poor, Poor Marianne” but like any woman worth her salt as a woman, a woman who knows what dignity is….she decides not to let herself be made a victim of and THAT my friend is the story of A MIGHTY HEART.

She is not the only woman to have lost a husband in those circumstances. There are many who have lost and will loose their husbands in the war against terrorism. So, do those women lack the strength of MP? I think not.

I’m hoping your intention is not to be dismissive of MP’s loss just because there are many more women who have lost their husbands in the same circumstances. In my opinion…MP whose voice can be heard, is lending it to these other women who can’t be heard.

Yes, this movie is about MP and AJ. The really forgot the man who sacrifice his life for the truth.

I don’t think DP was forgotten, the film showing the hard work that went into trying to find him, the sacrifices his wife made, I mean forging on despite her condition, refusing to give up hope until the very end, tells us what a special man Daniel Peale was. He will be remembered for the wonderful love that exists between him and his wife and personally, I think that’s a beautiful way to be remembered and I’m sure their son will appreciate that. I think he’s rather bask in the love bound his parents together than the hate that took his father away.

The tragic death of DP has been reduced to bankable project for Hollywood; undeniably AJ & BP have tried to raise their popularity to a higher level with the story of this man. Hence, the numerous PRs they did for this movie.

Lol….Oh boy, isn’t it amazing how non-family members seem to be affronted by this than the families themselves? Alright, if bankability was what AJ and BP were going for, surely they would have released it in the fall when movies such as this do better? If Adam Sandler can do numerous PR for Big Daddy, If Cameron Diaz and Eddie Murphy can do numerous PR for Shrek, if the actors of Fantastic Four can do numerous PR for their movie, Pray tell why AJ and BP can’t do PR for A MIGHTY HEART?

Finally if Ms. Nomani is not satisfied with the story as told from MP’s point of view, she should write hers.

Unwed couple with children are now welcome to all society, as a Catholic I prefer for them to get married, but that’s what they prefer let’s honor that decision. Time will tell if they will get married or not I’m glad they are together as a couple with 4 kids.

think positive! @ 06/26/2007 at 11:37 am

Hey guys we have two new threads!!

collection of opinions on Ms N @ 06/26/2007 at 1:07 pm

I took the liberty of collecting some opinions and put them together. I think Ms. Naomi should read the following and SHUT UP

excerpts

We’re just DISGUSTED that she (Ms Naomi) seems to be of the opinion that she knew Pearl better than his wife and parents and knew he wouldn’t have approved of the movie. She (Ms. Naomi) needs to get over herself. If the man’s wife and parents don’t have a problem with it and she wasn’t made to look like “the servant girl”, then SFTU already. All she’s doing is trying to get her 15 minutes and make some money for herself.
—–
I think Ms. Nomani’s continued commentary is very insulting to MP, and also to DP’s memory, and the more she talks, the more it seems to me she has a personal axe to grind that goes beyond her so-called disgust with Hollywood.
—–
She sure does and it’s quite obvious. All she wanted was a personal gain. Just her name to be highlited. Well she somehow acomphlished her goal but she chose the wrong way.
—–
I think that Ms. Nomani just need to shut her mouth, and realize that this was Marianne’s story and not hers. IMO she is going about like she was the one married to Danny. I do think that her commentary is insulting to Marianne and to Danny’s family and also to Danny’s memories. She said that she is a friend of DP, but what kind of friend do something like this. She is looking for attention and she is getting it. She should gaive the movie “thumbs up” and not bashing it.
——
More and more people in here have the impression that she has a personal vendetta against MP and that the reason lies on personnal feelings she may have had for her late husband. The way she pour herself over and over again like she has some legitimate reason to, not having one bit of respect for his child, widow or parents is a reminiscence of a betrayed legitimate wife. She acts as if she was her long time mistress.
This is a personal story written through the eyes of his widow, the way she saw, perceived, felt lived those terrible time. In what rights has anybody have something to say about the way she lived that and decided to portrayed her feelings (through an actress), what she lived ?
If this is not the DP, that bitter woman knew, then fine, she wasn’t her wife who probably knew some aspects of her husband personality like most partners do.
If that is not what she knew from him, then why don’t she writes her own book whith her side of the story, with her impressions of the man she knew as DP and make her own moviea bout it ? Why the SICKENNING exploitation of someone’else grief related in a movie which relayed her way of feelings at that time ?
What makes her think that she detains the truth and all the truth and can exploit the memory of a dead man whose wife and future child was his last memory before he last breathe ?
What a sickenning ego this woman has, questionning the way of seing and perceiveing things of a widow towards her late husband and make it seems like it is right to do so !
She is immoral to the least !
—————-
M.Pearl wrote the book about the search for D. Pearl, not a good friend, a co-worker or an “assistant”. It is based on her book and her story, not a Washington Post writer, a disguntle X fan, supporting players etc. It is a powerful film told through the eyes of M. Pearl and the people(of all nationalities) that helped in the search. She can argue about the Hollywood pomp surrounding the film that mainly consisted of Cannes, premiers and special viewings. Most artists give interviews in support of the film. The fact that AJ is an international superstar and was able to submerge herself into the character is a testament to a great actress. Plan B, AJ and the supporting cast did an excellent job. It is a fitting memorial to D. pearl for his son. The film has been well received and I urge others who haven’t seen it to go see it. Peace to all.
——————
well just one advice for you and Ms.Naomani.
READ THE BOOK!!!
She acts like the movie should be based on her and what role she played in their lives. The movie’s screenplay is based on MP’s book which is about the struggle SHE pasted when her husband died and the research SHE did to find out the truth. It’s not a biopic of DP’s life.
It’s also about a whole message of love and understanding and not putting borders around us and labels on people.
It’s really funny to me that the critics can so easily judge abour Brad’s or Angie’s and even MP’s motives and not saying a word about Ms Naomani’s article which it seems that she wrote out of anger because her name wasn’t as bold as she wanted to be just to get some attention. Maybe she is even mad that she wasn’t invited in the premieres and screenings. And she didn’t found any other way to get the attention she craved than to bad mouth the movie.
————–
MP is certainly not the first or only woman to ever lose her husband tragically in a war. Sadly, it has been happening to women since the beginning if time. BUT, how many of those women allowed themselves to be carried away by bitterness and hate, broken and consumed by revenge for the rest of their lives? A pretty good amount of them do allow those feelings to have power over them until the day they themselves die.
That is MP’s message by telling her story. That is what Angie kept saying in all her interviews, that you can still honor your dead husband (or father or brother), but you don’t have to give your soul over to hate.
I think the hope of Angie and MP of telling the story would be that it could somehow serve as a source of strength for other families going through loss of all kinds.
Also, DP’s murder was sent around the world on the internet for all to see, whether the public was horrified by it or got off on it, it was broadcast, which also sets this situation apart. Yes, many men have been tortured and died horrible deaths in the past, but it all seems somehow removed from us because either it was long ago or we didn’t see it play out on tape in front of our eyes the way DP’s did (no, I myself did not watch it). MP didn’t want her husband remembered as “that guy who got beheaded on the internet”, she wanted people to know he had a family, a wife, a child on the way…he was a real person with people in his life who loved him, and MP told the story of those people.
I think Ms. Nomani’s continued commentary is very insulting to MP, and also to DP’s memory, and the more she talks, the more it seems to me she has a personal axe to grind that goes beyond her so-called disgust with Hollywood.

To all of you who replied to interesting

Ms. Nomani made a good and valid point despite the excuses that some people in this thread (PR staff of BP & AJ) are trying to find.

stop trying to transform the tragic life of a man to showbusiness!!!

Well Ms Nomani is exploiting DP death and turning what should have been a testament of his wife into a circus where she is acting like a bitter woman whose passing her personal feelings and perception (we all have one regarding that movie) as more important that any other one, more important that the minimum respect she, the so called friend should give to his widow, family and son.

In what name does she think that she has the right to question or dissmiss the view of a woman towards her late husband ?

Her lack of respect and morals are such that she trades the humility that should accompany those kind of movies for her super huge ego and bad taste bublicity stunts on the back of a dead man who was no member of her family.

She has transformed the tragic life of a man to a vulgar cheap soap opera with a pubicly whinnings…just to feed her own ego cause her feelings is so much more important that she has to disrespect pubicly all his direct family and himself through them ! I bet, where DP is, he should be turned in disbelief in its own grave.

There is just a line that should never be crossed and she did it…exploiting PUBLICLY the death of a man she is no familiy with because her perception has so much more weight than those of his widow which should be dismissed, a wife whose book is the one that has been taken into account as the sole basis of this movie !

SHE IS UNBELIEVABLY GROSS !

Brad Pitt is a hot mess in those pictures. I thought he was younger than George Clooney. Brad looks as if he is 55 in those pictures. What the hell is happening to me. It seems as though the more they spend time with the family, and supposedly getting a little R&R, he ages more and more. Maybe it is the screen on my laptop, but he looks horrible.

wow! the basic black suit! who wore it best? wentworth miller? or brad pitt? ;)

I guess you didn’t look at the thread with George shirtless…now that’s a man who is aging quicker than ever ! No Brad Pitt, that’s for sure !

Funny how he looks in the first pic.
Good pictures and a awesome Brad Pitt in suit.
