OlderSam Woods: Tiger Woods Introduces New Daughter

Superstar golfer Tiger Woods introduced his and wife Elin’s 1-week-old daughter Sam Alexis Woods on his official website this morning.
Also pictured: The family’s two dogs, Taz (border collie) and Yogi (labradoodle).
Tiger, 31, also announced earlier in the week that he’ll be skipping out on the Buick Open this week to spend more time with Elin and Sam.
“We’re still getting settled at home and it’s important to be there for my family,” Tiger said in a personal statement last week. “I look forward to playing next year. Both are healthy and happy. I can’t describe how wonderful it is to be a father. This is something I dreamed about and I’m enjoying every minute. It’s a good thing I don’t need much sleep.”

I wasn’t sure how the baby would look b/c Tiger has buggy eyes and a strange shaped mouth, but Sam is a cutie!! A really pretty baby…they should be really proud of her!! Big congrats to the Woods family

I’ve been looking forward to seeing the new baby–she’s going to be a darling girl in such a short time.
It’s interesting with family pets, i.e. dogs, as they immediately take-up protective custody of the new baby as he/she arrives home!

awwwwwwwww..she’s adorable! looks like she has mommy’s hair texture….biracial kids are just beautiful…all babies are at that age…don’t like tiger’s flat top haircut…and elin is one lucky ******…not bad for a nanny…like matt damon’s bartender wife

My favorite was the fathers day commercial during the US open where nike was making special “mini-clubs” for tiger. So cute. She’s a beautiful baby and they look very happy! good for them!

FYI Elin belongs to one of Sweden’s respective families. She just happened to baby sat for J. Parnevik’s kids, who if none of you know is a well known golfer from Sweden. The Parneviks will trust their kids to the care of someone who is known to them or of equal if not similar status.

ELIN was never a professional nanny. Before Tiger, she had just completed her second year as student of paediatric psychology at university in Stockholm. Her identical twin was doing law (which she completed).
She was doing a summer stint for Swedish golfer Jesper Parnevick as a nanny when she met Tiger at the British Open in July 2001. During college, Elin also did a stint as a swimsuit model to make money and as a store attendant. None of those were professional choices, just jobs university students do to make ends meet.
