Sam Woods: Tiger Woods Introduces New Daughter
Superstar golfer Tiger Woods introduced his and wife Elin’s 1-week-old daughter Sam Alexis Woods on his official website this morning.
Also pictured: The family’s two dogs, Taz (border collie) and Yogi (labradoodle).
Tiger, 31, also announced earlier in the week that he’ll be skipping out on the Buick Open this week to spend more time with Elin and Sam.
“We’re still getting settled at home and it’s important to be there for my family,” Tiger said in a personal statement last week. “I look forward to playing next year. Both are healthy and happy. I can’t describe how wonderful it is to be a father. This is something I dreamed about and I’m enjoying every minute. It’s a good thing I don’t need much sleep.”

I wasn’t sure how the baby would look b/c Tiger has buggy eyes and a strange shaped mouth, but Sam is a cutie!! A really pretty baby…they should be really proud of her!! Big congrats to the Woods family :) Just a shame his dad didn’t live to see her born…

It’s interesting with family pets, i.e. dogs, as they immediately take-up protective custody of the new baby as he/she arrives home!

FYI Elin belongs to one of Sweden’s respective families. She just happened to baby sat for J. Parnevik’s kids, who if none of you know is a well known golfer from Sweden. The Parneviks will trust their kids to the care of someone who is known to them or of equal if not similar status.

ELIN was never a professional nanny. Before Tiger, she had just completed her second year as student of paediatric psychology at university in Stockholm. Her identical twin was doing law (which she completed).
She was doing a summer stint for Swedish golfer Jesper Parnevick as a nanny when she met Tiger at the British Open in July 2001. During college, Elin also did a stint as a swimsuit model to make money and as a store attendant. None of those were professional choices, just jobs university students do to make ends meet.

She went to Catholic school as a child and to this day is afraid of nuns and is intimidated by them - but at any rate she has some foundation. EARL AND TIDA WERE NEVER DIVORCED. They merely lived in separate homes because after a time she said she could not stand to see him slowly kill himself because he would not give up some habits the doctors told him to give up. Chief anmong them was the smoking!!! and fatty pork.

Lovely photos and obviously the dogs are part of the family and exposing young babies to animals isn’t so bad. A lot of children actually live in too sterile an environment and suffer allergies and illnesses because of this. We can be too clean. I think little Sam looks a lot like her daddy.

I love Angelina Jolie. I know she’s been hurt and I love many of the things she’s doing, but the thing that keeps me from totally embracing everything about her is that she doesn’t believe in God or anything. She’s not spiritual. I also wish Brad and Angelina would have done things the more honorable way. Moving in together, changing children’s names. Why?????
The fact that Brad and Angelina have done things this way is a bad example. Many young women are giving birth out of wedlock in large numbers. A lot of teenagers want to copy Angelina. When they found out Shiloh was coming, they could have married quickly. It’s a more legitimate way to live your life. Overall, a good marriage and the commitment is a great thing. People who do it well have wonderful intimacy.
I wish Brad and Angelina could have done things differently. They wouldn’t have so many haters if they had.

Celebrities kill me saying our wonderful it is to be a mother or father when the baby is barely doing anything but eating, sleeping and passing gas. Come back when the kid hits puberty and tell us all our wonderful it is then.

I prefer a family together like Susan Sarandon’s that people who marry and are fighting all the time.

I agree with gg completely, come back Tiger when you kid is a pain in the a*se and hits the terrible twos. at the moment she’s a squidgy little sh*t and is as right as rain cos she only does 3 things
my 2 yr old has a flushing problem at present. She keeps flushing random items around the house down the toilet and laughs like crazy. , I found my necklace, a plastic spoon, my sons jack sparrow figure and my husbands watch at the bottom of the loo the other day. I have to put important **** high up so she cant get to it. she also has a problem of running away when the babysitter or a family relative is looking after her, she knows how to open the safety gates so nothing can restrain her; 5 months ago she successfully managed to walk to the bus-stop and get on a bus with an old lady. the dibble were called but we eventually found her an hour later because the nice lady reported her and kept her safe. it was the worst hour of my life and i think i aged about 20 yrs. my son never did any of this, he was an angel and never stepped out of line once or tried to smear sh*t all over the walls and think it’s funny during potty training, so my conclusion is never ever have a daughter cos they are a f*cking pain.

It’s just the angle the photo was taken that makes her feet look big. To me, she looks like a petite baby of around 6 to 6 1/2 lbs.

Very sweet story of how they picked her name. When he golfed of course everyone calls his name “Go Tiger” but him and his father had a understanding that his dad would call out “Go Sam”, that way Tiger could hear his father rooting for him and know its him, from all the other ppl rooting for him .. so they named her Sam. Isnt that sweet .. awwww!

Tiger Woods will be a great father I think. I doubt he will raise a spoiled brat. He won’t stand for that. Also, a lot of children today are acting up because they don’t get enough attention from their parents. Mothers work. Fathers work. No time to teach the kiddies. Indeed if Tiger’s wife had been black, she would have never been his wife, girlfriend, or even casual bedmate. Whoever said that is clearly a xenophiliac and a 60’s kumbaya left-wing racial egalitarian. If Tiger wanted to be truly multicultural he should have married a Filipino, that are definitely more mixed than a Swede from a supposedly respectable family.
