Brad & Maddox: Ice Cream Social
I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream!
Brad Pitt and takes 5-year-old son Maddox for some frozen treats on Friday after picking him up from school (accompanied by a bodyguard).
There aren’t any other clearer pictures at the time, but you can still see Brad knelt down to Maddox’s height to help him choose which flavor ice cream he wanted. Cute!
The father-son pair held hands as they left the local ice cream parlor together.

This is to interesting ( I know you’re lurking somwhere out there. After all this is a JP thread and you can’t resist the siren call)

I just don’t understand why people are so upset at Ms. Nomani for expressing her views.
Just like some of us don’t understand why Ms. Nomani is upset at Marianne Pearle for expressing HER views, HER feeling over the tragic death of HER husband
For crying out loud, DP & MP were in her house during DP’s research on what happened during September 11; and he died while her wife was staying Ms. Nomani’s house. Of course, she should voice her opinion if she feels that the movie does not capture the real DP, her friend and colleague (your comment about her being in love with DP is indicative of a lack of maturity in your reasoning; even if she was in love with him, that still does not change her point)
No one is disputing that she was an integral part of the search for DP but at the end of the day, she isn’t his wife who was pregnant with their child when he was taken.
Yes, some of you will say AMH is not about DP, which is fine. However, without his death this movie would have never happened. So, her point is that she does not feel that they properly portrayed DP. Second, she questions why are we, today’s society, so eager to create a hero out of woman, MP, who did her job as a wife.
Well, maybe she does deserve to be made a hero of. We live in a society where being weak, being whiny is the norm, where people use their tragedy as a crutch for whatever goes wrong with their lives. So yeah, if People want to take an inspirational page from MP’s book, why begrudge them of it? What is really sad here is that our society is so full of weak people that when we do see someone who shows strength in character, we automatically think “Wow, she must be wonder woman?”. Seriously, are we saying being tolerant, being forgiving, being hopeful in a hopeless situation, are traits of someone super human being?
Anyway, I don’t think MP is trying to be anybody’s hero, instead, her message is - Don’t let people and circumstances make a victim of you. Let’s be real here….If MP had decided to wear a mourning garb for he rest of her life and cried so the world can hear how she has suffered so… no one will bat an eye. Why, I can see them shaking their heads in pity saying “Poor, Marianne…Poor, Poor Marianne” but like any woman worth her salt as a woman, a woman who knows what dignity is….she decides not to let herself be made a victim of and THAT my friend is the story of A MIGHTY HEART.
She is not the only woman to have lost a husband in those circumstances. There are many who have lost and will loose their husbands in the war against terrorism. So, do those women lack the strength of MP? I think not.
I’m hoping your intention is not to be dismissive of MP’s loss just because there are many more women who have lost their husbands in the same circumstances. In my opinion…MP whose voice can be heard, is lending it to these other women who can’t be heard.
Yes, this movie is about MP and AJ. The really forgot the man who sacrifice his life for the truth.
I don’t think DP was forgotten, the film showing the hard work that went into trying to find him, the sacrifices his wife made, I mean forging on despite her condition, refusing to give up hope until the very end, tells us what a special man Daniel Peale was. He will be remembered for the wonderful love that exists between him and his wife and personally, I think that’s a beautiful way to be remembered and I’m sure their son will appreciate that. I think he’s rather bask in the love bound his parents together than the hate that took his father away.
The tragic death of DP has been reduced to bankable project for Hollywood; undeniably AJ & BP have tried to raise their popularity to a higher level with the story of this man. Hence, the numerous PRs they did for this movie.
Lol….Oh boy, isn’t it amazing how non-family members seem to be affronted by this than the families themselves? Alright, if bankability was what AJ and BP were going for, surely they would have released it in the fall when movies such as this do better? If Adam Sandler can do numerous PR for Big Daddy, If Cameron Diaz and Eddie Murphy can do numerous PR for Shrek, if the actors of Fantastic Four can do numerous PR for their movie, Pray tell why AJ and BP can’t do PR for A MIGHTY HEART?
Finally if Ms. Nomani is not satisfied with the story as told from MP’s point of view, she should write hers.
Now YOU answer this, why are you so willing to put more stock on Ms. Nomani’s opinion but refuse to give MP’s a second thought. Why is Ms. Nomani more important than Marianne Pearle? If you’re very honest with yourself, the answer is - Because she is against BP and AJ. You’d rather rubbish MP’s experience than to say anything positive about The JPs and that is the saddest part of all of this….when people allow their hate to cloud their judgement. Do your self a favor…go watch A Mighty Heart.

BRAVO, AG. What a sensible post. I wonder if ‘Interesting’ has even read the book, and of course I think he/she hasn’t even seen the movie. I saw the movie, and I am reading the book by MP right now. I am only at 1/4 of the book, but so far, I haven’t seen anything about the movie straying far from it yet. You have to consider that the movie is only 1hr45min. You have to pick and choose what goes on it. Winterbottom covered how DP&Mariane met, how they are loving with each other, what the events leading to the kidnapping were, how MP&Nomani got help in their efforts to find Pearl, what kind of bullsh’t they have to deal with. Those are known events. I haven’t read the part where MP found out about DP’s death yet, so I can’t say if the movie follows the book or not, but so far, I haven’t been disappointed yet. One interesting thing is, MP doesn’t spare Nomani when she talks about her in the book. I wonder if Nomani is pissed at MP or not because of that. Nomani didn’t say anything after the book came out, probably for fear of sounding insensitive. She probably was just waiting for an opportune moment to pounce on MP, so it seems like she is bashing the movie, not MP. I am going to post some quotes from the MP’s book about Nomani in few minutes.

#59 Lolita - I like your post. I feel the same way. It’s all good. I love seeing the family together and seeing the power of daring to be different and wanting to make a difference.
No vein, hat, weight or other imaginary criticism can change what they have together.
I’m so glad they found each other.
Please tell me why it is not possible to give the IP address of the user?

Who told you that? IP are the most easy piece of information to get. How do you think the police has a database of sex ofenders who spend their day chatting with underage girls and boys?

So you think these type of issues, meaning those related to sex offenders, would apply to this case at hand!!!

OMG there’s a story in the NY Daily news about Harvey Levin and it says “This is the guy who rules Hollywood” LMAO!!!! In his dreams… WTF?
The article details what it takes to be first in celebrity news.
Plllllllllleeeassssssssreeeeee all he’s interested in is trash. that’s not celebrity news. Celebrity enws is who got what part, who beat out another for a particular movie, etc….
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
The New York Times had an article about him 2 days ago too, he’s becaming the biggest and most poweful blogger on the net.
Thank God he’s not longer sucking Huvane’s ****.
***********************************
He’s always last with Brad & Angelina news, so he’s not all that. He’s good about finding documents and things but really, I just read the entire article and he is first with one person only, Paris Hilton. He’s just a supposedly cleaner version of PH. He’s big on tragedy. Everytime you go on his site there a close up of someone crying, exposing themselves, drunk, etc…What is that all about? It’s ugly. TMZ caters to people who like ugly. But he too just got in trouble with some documents that were on his site that were sealed by the court.

There are numerous people who say things about celebs on the Net; If it were so easy for them to be prosecuted, most of you would not be able to leave a comment on this thread!!!!
Guys,
Although contacting attorneys may not yield anything, at least you took some action. But I implore you, if you’re worried about ‘traces’, stop talking about what that bobble-headed freak just did. Don’t let this thread devolve into pointless indignation and unnecessary attention to an @$$hat of a human (?) being.
This thread needs intelligent people!!!

That’s how it works. One more thing, big companies spend a lot of money to know what their employees are doing in their “free time” work hours.
Is this a cult?!!!!!
Here are some quote about Nomani in MP’s book. MP is just trying to be truthful, I guess. MP said some good thing and some not so good about Nomani.
p7
“Unmarried women do not, as a rule, live alone in Karachi, but that hasn’t stoped Asra (Nomani), and she has rented a huge house in a district that is, odly, named Defense Phase 5. Not only that, she has recently fallen in love with one of the sons of Pakistan’s elite, nine years her junior> He is an attactive young man whom I immediately find somewhat empty.”
p18
“Two days ago, she was so miserable that she seemed on the verge of falling apart, ready to leave the country altogether. What made her decide to satay was the delivery boy who brought her the chicken biryani she ordered….Asra, I have learned, obeys a logic all her own.”
p19
“Asra may be irresponsible sometimes, but I must admit I find her fantasy delightful.”
If I find more I’ll post again.
