OlderNicole Kidman - “Nintendo” Commercial
Nicole Kidman is the latest celebrity spokesperson for Nintendo! The Aussie actress recently made a commercial for Nintendo DS’s new “More Brain Training” video game.
Said a Nintendo rep, “Ms Kidman was chosen by Nintendo because of her universal appeal to mainstream audiences of all ages and backgrounds, as well as
her reputation for being intelligent, entertaining and genuine. Her personality and ability to combine the world of film with a family centric home lifestyle was felt to be a strong fit with the Nintendo DS.”
Said Nicole, “I love the concept that Nintendo is reaching out to new audiences with their self improvement products like Brain Training. Most importantly, I’ve quickly found that training my brain is a great way to keep my mind feeling young.”

For those criticizing her for taking this ad, a LOT of OSCAR winning actors/actresses and non-Oscar winning celebs have signed up for a LOT of commercials outside of the USA.
I mean, really, the WORLD does NOT just consist of America, you know. And Kidman’s NOT the only one doing different commercials — Brad Pitt is a celeb-commercial-whores, so is George Clooney, and Catherine Zeta-Jones. They all have ads run in OTHER countries for different products like shopping centers, banks, beers…. AND, a lot of these celebs would have a “clause” in their contract that says none of these commercials could EVER run in any American’s network TVs. It’s been reported many times.
So please, if you want to criticize Kidman for doing this, at least be consistent and criticize everyone.

I’m sorry but Freeze looks beautiful! I saw the link and opened in eager anticipation of a disaster, but girlfriend actually manages to pull off this stupid commercial while coming across as likable. The all-white decor is a little ridiculous though. You ain’t no JLo, honey.

you should know that she has a high IQ before criticizing. And she’s a lefty. And she has an Australian accent.
So it’s hard for the damn DS to understand her and for her to be corrdinated more than the righties and the american accented people.
