Angelina Jolie on the Set of ‘Wanted’

First exclusive pictures off the movie set!

We haven’t heard baby bump rumors in awhile, so this should get the blogosphere abuzz. Angelina Jolie was spotted holding her belly (and potential baby bump) in and around her trailer on the set of her new action thriller Wanted. (If she is pregnant, it’s not visibly noticeable!)

The mother-of-four brought along 5-year-old son Maddox to the set with her on Wednesday in Prague, Czech Republic.

What a cool Hollywood mom!

Angie also seems to be sporting a whole bunch of new tattoos on her hands and arms for Wanted. The motorcycle-type jacket she’s holding is also part of her costume. Be sure to check them out!

LOL - great find by Gussie. While I think all of the fans here will agree that these are extreme simplifications/stereotypes of the parts that make up the sum of Angelina Jolie, the tongue in cheek humour in this article is pretty funny. Thanks for the chuckle Gussie!

EUR FILM REVIEW: A Mighty Heart
Kidnapping of Daniel Pearl Revisited by Angelina Jolie Vehicle
By Kam Williams
(June 28, 2007)
*On Wednesday, January 23, 2002, Wall Street Journal reporter Daniel Pearl (Dan Futterman) vanished soon after bidding farewell to his pregnant wife, Mariane (Angelina Jolie), and entering a taxi waiting outside the home of his colleague, Asra Nomani (Archie Panjabi).

At the time, he was on assignment in Pakistan, following a promising tip which he expected to lead to a face-to-face interview with Sheik Mubarak Ali Gilani (Ikram Bhatti), a religious figure rumored to be behind assorted al-Qaeda operations, including shoe bomber Richard Reid’s aborted plot to bring down an airliner over the Atlantic.

But Pearl, a Jewish-American born in Princeton, New Jersey, had apparently been betrayed by his source, or by the cabbie, or both. And instead of breaking an exclusive story, he ended up in the hands of a mysterious man named Bashir (Aly Khan) a member of a secret cell of radical Muslims cell taking orders from 9/11 mastermind Khalid Sheik Mohammed.

When the intrepid investigative journalist failed to return that evening, his understandably anguished spouse alerted the authorities. A massive manhunt ensued, a cooperative effort launched by the Pakistani police, the FBI, and agents of the U.S. State Department’s Diplomatic Security Service. This international team, armed only with a handful of often misleading clues, embarked on a futile attempt to crack the case.

Meanwhile, for the next nine days, Danny was held incommunicado by kidnappers who issued a set of non-negotiable demands, including one for the release of all suspected Pakistani terrorists taken to the detainment camp at Guantanamo Bay. The rescue mission was called off when a videotape of Pearl’s beheading was leaked over the Internet.

This whole horrifying ordeal was recounted by Mariane in a best-selling memoir entitled “A Mighty Heart,” and that heartbreaking account served as the source of this surprisingly-riveting docudrama directed by Michael Winterbottom. Thus, the movie is presented primarily from Pearl’s widow’s point-of-view, which means the picture’s fortunes rise or fall with the performance of Angelina Jolie.

Jolie, dominating nearly every scene, is rather remarkable in this star vehicle, effectively conveying a convincing combination of unwavering dedication and the dire desperation of a woman who insists on remaining at the center of the search for the love of her life.

As a consequence, those complaining about Angelina, who is French, Czech, German and Native-American, playing a woman of Dutch, Jewish, African, Cuban and Chinese extraction are unlikely to find much in the way of support for their call for an organized boycott. Maybe there wasn’t a Dutch/Jewish/African/Cuban/Chinese actress available.

Regardless, for some reason, a bittersweet female empowerment flick as moving as this, with a message as ultimately optimistic as this, generally tends to trump its detractors, and I suspect A Mighty Heart will be no exception to the rule.

Excellent (4 stars)
Rated R for profanity.
In English, Urdu, French, Arabic and Siddhi with subtitles.
Running time: 103 minutes
Studio: Paramount Vantage

Angie is so naturally beautiful and sexy - pregnant or not pregnant!

Can’t wait for “Wanted” to be released next year.

Thanks Jared! You’re the best.

Maddox is really getting so long legged and tall. He will be six at the beginning of August. He appears to be having quite a growth spurt.

Yep!!! It is good that the message of “A Mighty Heart” is getting through the din, the smear tactics and the blind hate. It is a powerful film.

Jared…thanks for the photos. Sure miss ‘em.

Thanks so much for posting this bdj.

All African American aren’t of the same mind. There are millions of us that can think for ourselves, make decisions on our own, chose to watch a movie due to it’s message.

For me generalizing is like assuming — and we all know what happens when one A$$umes.

So thanks again, bdj!

you look beautiful as ever .we love you angie.

COALHARBOURQT #139

I just LOVE that you posted those links at the end of your post.

While its always a treat to hear from so many interesting, great folks out there (you very much included!) it is such a cool idea that we can also be galvanizing to do some good.

Another reason to love this family: they just make ya wanna be a better person :-)

Don't get mad @ 06/28/2007 at 8:55 pm

I know all of you hate Ted casablanca, but this is great and not brangelina related.

So, Ted was at the premiere of Sicko and he asked Michael Moore about Paris replacing him on Larry King.

Of course, we also had to ask M.M. how he felt about being booted from his scheduled spot Wednesday night on Larry King Live. As we all know, Mikey was bumped to make room for Paris’ postprison chat.

“There’s never been a greater honor in my life than to be replaced by Paris Hilton,” he said semiseriously/semisarcastically. “You think I’m kidding, but I’m serious. Thank you, Larry

I LOVE MICHAEL MOORE

THANKS JARED THE PICTURES ARE BEAUTIFUL.

truth be said @ 06/28/2007 at 8:57 pm

She is absolutely georgeous in those pics and from what I’ve been hearing very generous. I was just reading ‘confesssion of a paparazi’ and saw a clip on u-tube on her AMH premier… my God no wonder the fans and papps love, love, love her….
I do understand why some people here at JJ get really overprotective of her. She is very generous with her fans, she smiles a lot, sign autographs, pics and posed for them to take pics and she has been doing this since Hackers.
It is mentioned that few other A-listers who are as generous are George Clooney, Johnny Depp and Tom Cruise … and now Brad Pitt (seems Angie is a very good influence to Brad regarding fans… when he was ms x-smugness he used to be aloof with fans)
Whatever people may say about Angelina Jolie, I have a feeling that her fans will always LOVE her because she is REAL and trully appreciate her fans!!! (That is something very difficult to find in these so call Celebs nowadays)Like Lainey said in her blogs ” whatever Angie is selling I’m definately buying” she is that good!!!
