Wow Maddox has had a growth spurt since these pictures. I’m glad to see they are teaching their kids that clothes are not that important. It’s crazy to see people spend so much money to advertise somebody else’s name.

Hand me downs,Brad and Angelina teaching their children the value of a dollar, I think that is such a great idea.Hello, all of BAMPZS fans!!They are so down to earth.

I really think Pax is the most adorable kid ever, but Maddox is also pretty adorable. I think it is refreshing that they do share clothes. Instead of being like most people in hollywood who wear stuff once and never again. They really are great role models for all teenagers, young adults, and adults-much better than Paris or Lindsay (if they could even be considered role models)

Well, I haven’t been here for a while but thought I should check-in.
AMH had a very poor weekend! A 60% drop is the kiss of death. Movie theatres will start to pull this movie now. It also has such low attendance that the actual money that the movie is receiving will be less than 50%. That means that it has really only made just over 3 million towards the budget. Also don’t hold your hopes for big money worldwide as TGS didn’t made as much overseas as it did in the USA. For how powerful this family is why do you think that Angie’s last two movies have flopped?

Now I haven’t checked all the posts don’t have time but I am sure that none of you have had enough therapy to admit that TGS was a huge failure. Lost million of dollars. Really sad I know. Admit it and maybe then it will be easier to admit that no one wants to see Angie lately. AMH is a huge BOMB!!! Such a powerful beautiful family but now know in the USA wants see Angie’s movies. So much for power! Actually they are powerful in the tabloids only. If that’s power then I guess so. To bad they can’t get on the list to vote for oscars!

I suggest that you guys put your houses up for sale, take out money. Quickly fly your firends and family to this movie whever it is. Really someone needs to see it!!! I saw “A Mighty Heart” yesterday. It was one of the best movies I have ever seen. The movie had a nice crowd of people. Everyone loved the movie. Many of us discussed the contents of the movie. I can say the theaters are not really promoting the movie. It was in the very last spot in the movie. I found the movie very enlightening. I will buy the DVD when it comes out. I am also looking up the history of Daniel Pearl as a result of the movie. Daniel Pearl’s death was politically motivated.

Hehehehe!! Sam is EVEN more obsess with the Jolie-Pitt than the actual fans!!

Oh dont be an idiot!!! Halle Berry won her oscar for Monster’s Ball, it only made US$ 8 million before the Oscar award, and made only US$ 1m when the nimiantion came out. It amde more moeny after she won the oscar. The movie ran for 23 weeks and made only US$ 31m. Charlize’s Monster ran for for 23 weeks and made US$ 43 m, but when Oscar nomination, it was doing less than US$ 10m.

AMH ran for only 2 weeks and amde US$ 7m, so there is no reason it wont be included in the nomination. It will open in many more market abroad starting sept, and will do much better just like Babel did.

For me it is better to see action/sci fi movies in the big screen. Drama movies even it is good one can wait for the DVD. So it is a joke comparing the money made by AMH to toher movies. Also, AMH is rated R in the USA thus giving the younger fans no access to it. Most of Angie’s movies are rated R…heck if I am not mistaken they are trying to put rated X on Original Sin because of sex & nudity.

Lara Croft, Gone in 60 seconds & Mr & Mrs Smith are not rated R & they made money. If Angie is into Box Office results I am sure she will accept the movie role as one of the Charlie’s Angels. It was offered to her but she declined. When you look at Angie’s role in movies…most of them are varied unlike some actresses around Hollywood which are stereotyped for the rest of their career.

I think it’s awesome to see the brothers sharing clothes, it’s such a down to earth normal sibling thing to do,lol. What a great way for Angie to keep that closeness between them instead of that me/mine/selfish way alot of HW celebrity kids are raised. I Just thought with a movie like Babel he would want to show what he really has to offer as a serious actor, but I didn’t get it. Everything from his facial expressions on was not on point. It was dull. At least it seemed like he was trying though.

With the constant tabloid attention lavished upon Brad’s divorce, the multiple adoptions and her tireless relief work in faraway lands, it becomes quite difficult at times to tune out the media circus and remember Angelina Jolie also happens to be an actress—and often a very good one indeed.

Granted, since winning the Oscar in 1999 for her live-wire, star-making performance in Girl, Interrupted, Jolie has certainly wasted a lot of our time in junk like the Tomb Raider movies and assorted crummy serial killer flicks, but that’s more a testament to how befuddled Hollywood executives are by strong, attractive women who aren’t cut out for Kewpie doll girlfriend roles. Jolie’s presence is often just too large, too wild and too damn much for the puny projects she’s saddled with.

But one of the many shocking things about A Mighty Heart, director Michael Winterbottom’s tough-minded, no-nonsense adaptation of Mariane Pearl’s heartbreaking memoir, is how it reveals something in Jolie we’ve never seen in movies before—subtlety. Playing the widow of slain Wall Street Journal reporter Daniel Pearl seems like a prime opportunity for a movie star to indulge in some shameless capital-A “acting” and probably land another Oscar for the mantel, but Jolie delivers a performance that’s astonishing in its control. I think that the message they wanted to get out is going really well don’t you. all 20 to 30 people know about Danny now!

An update on maybe the reason for a breakup between the former A list television actress and now just an annoying wannabe B list film and her relationship with this comedy actor. Turns out that perhaps our actor didn’t just have a fling with a girl or two, but managed to get one pregnant as well. Turns out one of the flings gave birth a few weeks ago. The time line is right, but there is no birth certificate yet.

Obviously, I’ve lived longer than you. When Charles and Diana split up, Camilla was the homewrecker who wrecked 2 homes, her own and Diana’s. Diana, Princess of Wales, died 10 years ago. Camilla and Charles married 2 years or so ago. Only the most rabid of Diana’s fans still go around frothing in the mouth when Camilla’s name is mentioned. For most people, it is a non event.

I will go out on a limb to predict that it won’t take 8 years for people to get over Jennifer and Brad and Angelina. It is already happening out in the general public. It would help of course if Jennifer were to score some successes of her own besides dating a PMBP. I’m all for Jennifer’s success because reading her fan’s posts, it seems to me that her fan base is made up mainly of victims and losers who badly need to live vicariously through Jennifer’s success. But I can also safely say Jen’s fans will remain victims and losers until they cease to blame others.

What KK1 said in this thread was 100% true. The only 2 people who can wreck a marriage are the 2 people in it. When you blame someone else of wrecking your home, you cannot be taking your responsibility for the failure of your marriage - or at least, no more than 2% of the responsibility. With an attitude like this, I guarantee you that your next relationship is also going to end up in failure.

As for AMH, I sincerely see the movie is a success financially. It isn’t a roaring success but I think despite hopes, most people didn’t think it would be a roaring success. But no doubt, most people were hoping to avoid scenarios like The good german, Notes to a scandal and other real bombs. A 7.0m total for the second week end is a good total for this sort of movie. By the time AMH finishes its run in the US, it may have made about 9m. After it finishes its run internationally, I hope to see another 10m added. Plus DVD sales, it will make back its production and marketing costs.

Lylian, AMH is going to make way more than that. That movie already took Cannes over by storms. It going to do very well in France, Germany and Italy just like Babel. Paramount take their time with the release of this kind of movie and we might not know the final amount it will take in until around 7 months’ time. Babel was released in Japan after it came out on DVD in America and it still made $30 million there. Let’s keep our fingers crossed. If it gets the Oscar buzz it will be re-released during the Oscar season.

Hello Brad and Angie fans. Let me add this fact also that TGS is not mainly an Angie film. It is a Robert De Niro/Matt Damon film. She was barely in this movie in its entirety. She is not the headliner of this film just like Oceans 13 is not mainly a BP film, it is a George Clooney film. Since Brad and Angie are very powerful and talented stars, the boxoffice status negatively falls on them. The budget for AMH is very small compared to the other popcorn movies out there today. I bought two tickets for AMH for the second time, then my husband and I went to see another movie since we already saw AMH for the second time. You can do this too if the showing time is close. This way the $$ went to AMH. I want to help Angie’s charity too. Also, Oscar nominated type movies are not big box office hits since the beggining. I also agree of this Double Standard of haters of Angie. There are more, Rose McGowann, Denise Richards, Kate Hudson, Jennifer Lopez, etc. But the only one these haters remember is Angie. “If a relationship is happy and healthy, neither partner can be stolen by anyone.” From Sean Smith of Newsweek. I finally got to see the movie AMH, and it’s a very good movie. It’s sad to see the majority American mind set. Bang’em and shoot’em moives are attracting more movie goers than moives with substance, like AMH. For those of you who have not seen the movie should’nt knock it. I hope all movie makers contiue to produce movies substance for our youger generations.

Ms. Jolie was truly incredible in this. It doesn’t look like she will be remembered come Oscar season because the film came out so early, but she really should. Everything about her performance was dead on perfect… her accent, her natural ability, her realistic take (you didn’t catch her “acting” once)… and of course her incredibly heartbreaking scene toward the end. I always thought that she was an amazing actress, but this performance really takes the cake. My friend and I were completely blown away. Good for her. Why would she want to marry a cheater anyway? She probably learned her lesson on that one during her divorce from BBT. Her kids have a daddy … that’s all that seems to matter to her.

This year’s Forbes list of 100 powerful celebrities have Brad ascend to #5 and Angelina to #14. It reflects their demand quotient in films, advertising and magazines. To demean their individual star power and clout is to be in denial and to be petty out of envy.
As always, some posters would rather be negative and annoying but the one thing they don’t seem to get is the fact that Brad and Angie’s avid fans remain steadfast in their support.

You just shut up, it made US$ 3 m over a week not US 1m, get your facts straight!!! And it will open in more than 20 foreign markets starting September.

B&A dont need PR blitz, whther their movies makes money or not, they will continue to be given movie offers, as has been proven. Angelina’s movie Beyond Borders, tanked big time, and even Alexander, and yet she was given lots of movie offers after that and was able to do MAMs, which was a very big hit, of course, she also got Brad Pitt, and the rest is hsitory, she is now the hottest hollywood actress!!! At this time, Angie is busy as ever, filming Wanted, next the Changeling, done Beauwolf adn Kung Fu Panda, she will probably do sin City and Atlas after her hiatus. Brad also has had his share of flops, remember Meet Joe Black? and yet always gets movie offers all the time. Such are the powers of real talented people in hollywood. SAme with Nicole Kidman, did you know that her movie “Fur” only made a little bit over US$ 200,000, and yet she is busy as ever, she is doing this big-budgeted movie in Australia and has done 2 completed movies to be shown this year.

Now we cant say the same to your idol Aniston, after 3 flops, no studio has offered her any projects, hence she is forced to produce her own movies, which up until now has not even started filming, looks like she may have to wait till next year, its clear she is struggling in hollywood without Brad. You know why, because she is known as untalented and full of herself in hollywood. She had the director fired in her movie in the Rumor has it, just because she was not properly lit and looks ugly in the Dailies. It was entirely her fault the movie tanked big time! without Brad, she will not have an easy life in Hollywood, and will not win an Oscar at all.

Whoever compares Princes Diana and Audrey Hepburn to Jolie is WRONG…WRONG…& WRONG….

I really hate to disappoint you, but AMH took in $3 million more this week. Current box office is $7 million and that’s only after 10 days. And it hasn’t opened overseas yet.

Sean Smith: I did not ask her about Israel, but Danny Pearl, the man she just made a movie about, was Jewish, so I find it hard to believe that her vision of world peace means a world without Jews.

Orlando, FL: Why did Jolie not adopt children from her own country, the United States, and why does she still not speak with her own father even though he’s apologized to her?

Sean Smith: I got a lot of questions about this, so I’ll answer them all here. I don’t know why she isn’t choosing to adopt American children. It’s a personal choice she’s made, clearly. I know from personal experience that poverty in other parts of the world is much, much worse than it is here, and that may be part of the reason. I know Angelina also sees herself as a global citizen. Just on a human level, it seems to me that if she’s saving three kids’ lives, does it matter what flag they were born under? That’s purely my personal take on the matter. But,as I said, I’m afraid I didn’t ask her about this.

Birmingham, AL: Jolie talked about being not being a racist, I want to know during the interview did she make any mentions of “Z” to you? I have followed Jolie for many years but I have yet to read her mentioning “Z” and have seen one maybe two pictures of her with “Z”? I do not believe she is a racist, but one has to wonder if “Z” adoption was for publicity.

Sean Smith: She talked about “Z” a lot, actually. I had a whole section in the story about the kids that had to be cut for space reasons, and I only saw her with Maddox (Z was taking a nap), so that’s why Z’s not more prominent in the story. She says Z is really strong willed and funny and screams whenever Brad dances until he stops. And no, I don’t think she did it for publicity. She doesn’t need anymore, frankly.

New York, NY: As a development academic and mother of 2 children—with family members working for the UNHCR—in, yes, that’s right, Darfur—I think the tone of the article is absurd. It is uncritical, fawning and deeply disturbing. The mythologizing tone you take when you say, for example, “her eyes never leave his face” (when taking about her seeing her son at the end of the day) is ridiculous. What about where was she all day while he was doing these new things? Why he was in a room alone? Indeed, the vast majority of mothers do look at their children when they speak….in fact, one wonders, Mr. Smith if in regular conversations your eyes wander aimlessly? It is certainly a Good thing that she is engaged and interested in the world around her, but there are 6 billion individuals on this planet and a great many of them have dedicated their lives to the development and aid of those less fortunate. Certainly I have no doubt she is relatively well versed in the subject of Int dev/aid—but so are the thousands of specialists at universities, think tanks and in the field doggedly working on. To promote her to a seat at the Council for Foreign Affairs (as well as Davos) is disturbing at best and, at worst, a sign of things to come as we enter a Big-Brother Reality-led Simulacrum of Art representing Art representing Life. I think she is doing good with her life, and is clearly a role model for the young Hollywood set. But, and its an important But, to promote her as an Icon of the 21st century for the greater world at large, is most likely the illusion of Newsweek, which seems to be less unlike US Weekly than it would suppose.

My question for Mr. Smith is when did rigorous journalistic inquiry and critical thought (not to be confused with mindless criticism) become the order of the day at Newsweek? One wonders that if Ms. Jolie was less beautiful, would her deeds carry as much weight with the media. As her overall experience, while good, is certainly nowhere near enough to garner her the accolades she has received if she were to be held up against many of those actually working in world development (rather than, as has been the case thus far, as a modern day saint in Comparison to those simply Watching world development take place and not involved).

Still, in an article where Brad Pitt (who was in his late 30’s before he even managed to make it over to Africa) says that Jolie and Pearl are like “Churchill and Roosevelt” (?)—one can only wonder at how little else he is aware of. In such a context Mr. Smith, you did little to offer the reader with anything even approaching international-level journalism.

Sean Smith: I’m sorry that you think I was fawning. I addressed the criticism against her, I thought, in the story. Yours is the angriest question I’ve received, but there are others, so I’ll address them all here. I am not Angelina’s friend, or publicist. I will likely never speak to her again. I have no stake, one way or the other, in how she is perceived, nor do I have any concern with whether she likes the story or not. (And, by the way, I don’t know.) My job is to research her, spend time with her, think about her, talk to other people who know her, and tell you what I’ve learned. If she was a *****, or narcissistic, or cruel or stupid, I would have told you. Why wouldn’t I? What you read in this story is my experience with her. I believe her to be involved and sincere. She’s been doing it for six years, so it’s clearly not a lark. As for your question about whether she would get this much attention if she weren’t beautiful, I think you’re absolutely right that she wouldn’t. Look at all the attention you’ve paid her, and you don’t even like her. One more thing, Brad Pitt was being really light-hearted when he compared Angelina and Mariane Pearl to Roosevelt and Churchill. I thought the context of his quote made that clear, but I may have not shown that well. He was kind of kidding, and being cute. Clearly, they’re not Roosevelt and Churchill. Even to him.
