Jessica Biel is the latest celebrity to sport the eco-friendly “I’m Not a Plastic Bag.”
BYOB (Bring Your Own Bag) is the latest farmer’s market crazy. You shove your groceries into this all-cotton bag instead of wasting plastic bags, as produced by fashion designer Anya Hindmarch. Keira Knightley has been seen using them.
The 25-yea-rold I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry actress was see sampling some spicy nuts and Mexican food at the Brentwood street market on Sunday but asked the paparazzi to stop taking photos after a few minutes.

this BYOB has been happening here in Australia for a long time but you’ve only heard of it when celebrities do something that’s connected to it.
it’s just sad, really.
if only the rest of the world can catch up (with/without the help of celebrities) and stop using plastic when going to the market or grocery. the world would be a better place.
Honestly, I use the bags to pick up doggie poo. Its very useful, plastic that is.
jessica, and your bodybuilder posse, don’t worry, in a couple of years, maybe less, no one will WANT your picture. So, enjoy the attention while you have it..
The negative comments are so laughablely pitiful. People are so sad when they try to run others down. If i wanted to be the same way, i could go off at Kiera being a little, shall be say on the skinny side, so the bag is wearing her and not the other way around but why bother.
I think that women that have no curves, are shapeless, too slender and veiny are the ones that look like men, not Jessica. The mags have obviously trained some of you as to what a woman is supposed to look like…shapless as well as drawn individuals, who end up looking haglike. I’d love to have that body, every single inch of it. She also has a beautiful face and looks amazing.
Mona, I agree that plastic bags do have other uses of course, (Jessica probaly uses them in the same way), it’s just that far too many are taken from supermaket’s etc., and then disgarded carelessly, so good for her.
Cheekymonkey…like you, i’ve been using alternatives for a while now but it does help when celebs bring matters like this more to the fore, so in this instance, i don’t mind. Celebs will jump on any bandwagon at the drop of a hat, so usually i find myself not listening. But Jessica is also a frequently farmer’s market shopper, (which i love), so she catches my attention and get’s a big thumbs up.
Beautiful, hot as well as conscientious. Heady combination. Bravo for her!
