rainbow- I expect the haters to come here and try to instigate fights and be mean and it’s easy for me to ignore them. I do not it when fans start talking so ugly, it really ruins it for me. I think of this as fun and really don’t want to read ugly stuff.

First, I just have to laugh histerically at the insanity going on here. The amount of energy invested into these hateful posts is just unbelieveable, and sad. Moving on …

Anyway, I agree with #517/#550, as I read that VF interview I believe there is a certain truth in there regarding Jen and Brad’s breakup and the state of their marriage beforehand.

First, let me say this is not a “hater” post but just looking closely at certain statements that I believe are very telling of what was going on in that relationship. I am not cherry-picking, I believe that Jen felt truly wronged by what happened but let’s remember, this is from her point of view only. Each story has two sides. Jen was a partner in the marriage so she bears some responsibility for its breakdown, as does Brad. However, we’ve never actually heard Brad’s side of the story and the truth of the matter is that we probably never will. Brad has never gone into detail as to why he left Jen. As fans (outsiders) all we have is their public (and at times not so public) actions and the tales woven by the rags to make a profit. We’re not their best friend (BRAD’S, JEN’S NOR ANGIE’S) or confidante so first, it’s really not our business and second, we need to accept that there may be some details, crucial details in fact, that we will never know. That makes our conclusions and opinions inherently flawed.

In reading the VF article, several statements that rang true for me was the CC quote, which I have yet to hear retracted, that Brad had admitted to being attracted to AJ but that she didn’t believe he had given in to that attraction prior to leaving Jen. I don’t think anyone disputes this point but more the question of how much did it factor in and in which way? Was Brad just looking for a piece of ass or was he already searching for something more in his life and he found that connection with AJ, particularly if during MAMS they started talking about their humanitarian efforts - hers through the UN and his through Bono’s One campaign?

Another quote is from Jen herself that looking back, perhaps she and Brad believed in different things, she felt there was something to salvage, he clearly didn’t (a marriage will only work when both parties want it to); again, if Brad was already restless with his life overall, which all signs were indicating then he was ready to make big changes. Also, it’s noted in the interview that Brad may not have known exactly what he wanted. Perhaps, that is even a bit evident in his interview with Diane Sawyer right after the breakup, or at least he wasn’t ready to say so publicly. I think Brad was figuring it out for himself; somethings he knew he wanted and others he was taking his time to work out.

Most telling, however, I think is Jen’s quote about (and I paraphrase) two people evolving together and sometimes those changes clash. She never elaborated on that point but it made me wonder, what changes? How did they both change? What clashes resulted from those changes? How difficult were these clashes to deal with? Later Jen says they changed, BOTH she and Brad changed. And she acknowledes that BOTH parties did the best they could. THAT statement says to me, that they grew apart and despite being friends, they were no longer who they were when they fell in love and got married. They were moving in different directions and, maybe for a time Brad was prepared to just settle for that, no one wants to just quit a marriage, I believe he cared for her and I guess for the most part they got along but then eventually that wasn’t enough for Brad and he did the unthinkable, he chose to be happy.

#517, this is where I agree all hell broke loose for them because despite their problems all along they’d maintained this picture perfect public image and suddenly that fairytale was no more - hence the inabilty to accept reality by fans. Not that I think JA is necessarily that superficial but let’s face it, her celeb status certainly benefited as a result of their marriage. Hollywood’s Golden Couple was about to be history, it was a huge embarrassment. Again, I don’t think Jen was thinking in terms of her A-list status, far from it but more reacting to how the media made it seem that she’d been made a fool of by Brad by publishing photos of him in Kenya covorting with AJ. As #517 pointed out, her response was a tad nonsensical given by CC’s quote, she already knew about his attraction to AJ prior to his leaving, and in the VF article, Jen even says that what Brad did after the separation was not her concern; it was his life. So why the shock? Why the outrage? I agree, more than anything, Jen was embarrassed by the Kenya photos because to her it felt like a slap in the face, as though he was flaunting his new life rather than any real “betrayal” on Brad’s part. And well, it went downhill from there.

Thank you for one of the most sensible posts I have ever read on these threads. I’ll take it a step further and say that IMO Brad was never in love with Jen and vice-versa. The marriage was a set-up by the media from the get-go and everybody was entranced by the “golden couple”. Of course marriages like that very seldom last because they have no solid base, but the fans weren’t thinking about that when it all collapsed under its own weight of over-hype.

What amazes me most is that no one is prepared to pick her up on these inconsistances. Least of all the ‘fans’. They are all still, up to now, stack on “whoa is me”!

I’ve seen Z in dresses before but it seems Angie is buying clothes that she can use on all 4 of the kids nowadays - get the biggest bang for her bucks.

I think they always pull Z’s hair back so she can’t get to it. Angie has said a few times already that each time they comb her hair, she pulls it out. That it’s a constant battle because she won’t leave it alone. Perhaps this is just easier for them instead of fighting with a 2-yr old.

seriously. Everyone needs to chill. Both the Angie haters AND the Jennifer haters. really. For either side to feel so much anger is ridiculous. In reality, we could all be so lucky to look like EITHER of them.

Zahara….I want to see them dress her like a little girl (when she’s not on the playground)and spend more time on her hair, i.e. a little short fro would be better than tying it up in that little knot! With the domestic help they surely have, someone can manage having fun with her hair!

Damn, leave that baby’s hair alone, I am a black woman and there is nothing wrong with the way Brad and Angie fixes her hair. Us blacks have a different hair type than whites and our hair IS NOT going to look like yours, no matter what anybody does to it. It is different. But we love our hair. So lay off the baby’s hair.
Us blacks don’t always wear our hair in afro’s, we make little styles for our little girls hair, pony tails, and braids and twists. So mind your own business. They are doing good with Zahara’s hair.

As for how they dress Zahara. That is nobody’s business. Zahara is their child, and it is their perogative to dress her the way they want to. Besides, I have seen Zee in dresses several times, if you must know.
