Scarlett Johansson strolls around lower Manhattan on Friday with her nose ring, aka bull ring, back in place.
The 22-year-old actress wore her nose ring last year when she was a brunette. Don’t piercings close in a couple of months? Does she have to get her nose re-pierced every time she puts it back in? It’s actually called a septum piercing. She can flip it up or wear a retainer when she’s filming so she doesn’t necessarily have to get it repierced. It looks good.

You can put the ring into your nose when you dont want it to be seen and it wont fall out. She has probably had it this whole time and she never putit down until now. That area is very painful to pierce twice because you go through scarred cartilage

i actually like the septum piercing on her. it works. and fyi, you can flip them up into your nose and no one will see the piercing, so she has probably kept it in this entire time with a retainer and just hidden it.
Hi Jared, I’m betting Scarlett’s nose piercing has been in place since she first had it done. All you have to do is wear a piece of retainer jewelry to keep the piercing open & often the retainer jewelry is flesh-colored so it’s almost invisible until you choose to wear metal jewelry. My husband’s septum is also done and that’s what he does to keep it open. Personally, I think Scarlett’s piercing looks just fine. And if she likes it, that’s all that counts. I wouldn’t necessarily do a septum piercing for myself, but that’s a personal choice. I DO have the side of my nostril pierced and wear a small diamond chip there. Just out of curiosity, why all the super negative response…especially from those who concede they have piercings, too? Not trying to start a fight, I’m just curious.

A ‘nose ring’ indicates a piercing through the nostril. 2) The style of jewelry she’s wearing doesn’t require one to remove it whenever they don’t want it to be seen. a septum ring would not have been my first choice, maybe a small nostril piercing. but personally i don’t mind. she’s got everyone talking. positive or negative she’s getting attention and coverage everywhere she goes. so who knows, maybe she’ll do something wackier next time! please no.

the piercing that she got is one of a few that once it’s healed, it never really closes. so she could take it out while filming a movie or if she just doesn’t feel like wearing it, and then put it back in a few months later with no problems. also, a piercing is someone’s personal choice, and if ms. scarlet johanson actually cared what we all thought, then she probably wouldn’t have done it, but she did it for herself, which is how one should go about any sort of piercing. do it for yourself and not for anyone else and it doesn’t matter what other people think

i have my septum pierced and i love it but i don’t like it on her at all. im a huge fan of piercings having 23 myself but i don’t think it suits her one bit.
its definately not a fake, fakes don’t have a seperated part outside of the nose, only the inside so that it can hook on. its just a ring with a missing patch.
she’s either wearing a CBB or a retainer (i can’t tell because im on my sidekick atm) which means she can flip it up whenever she wants and nobody can tell its there. even looking straight up her nostrils you wouldn’t be able to see it.
i wear mine flipped up everyday for work, as im a hairdresser and they’re not fans of facial piercings.
i suppose if she likes it that’s all that matters. different people like different things.
