OlderIsaiah Washington: Patrick Dempsey Made Me Use the F-word
Isaiah Washington is blaming co-star Patrick Dempsey’s lateness to the Grey’s Anatomy set for the “brawl” that riled Washington up enough to use a homophobic slur.
Washington spoke up about his experience on Larry King Live and explains that he “regretted not confronting Dempsey the first time he was late, so he challenged him the second time.”
On Dempsey first erupting: “He became unhinged, sprayed spittle in my face. I’m asking him why is he screaming at me. … He just becomes irate.”
On Knight claiming the slur was directed at him: “It’s a lie. He misrepresented himself.” (He says he used the term “faggot” as a synonym for “wimp”.)
On Knight lying to advance his career and to get more money: “He has been very disappointed in playing the character he has been playing. He told me that.”
On repeating the slur backstage at the Golden Globe Awards: “I wish I could take that back.”
On defending his actions: “I am not homophobic – in no way, shape or form.”
Washington fought back years when King asked if any cast members had written to him. Only Sandra Oh had sent him an email…

Isaiah said in his interview that he received an e-mail from Sandra Oh who was in France. He received a text message from Kate Walsh. He received text messages and phone calls from the Nazi and the Chief.
How said that bloggers are trying to scue the truth.

Whiney Will is a pill. He is a lesser-known actor on a better-known show who has done everything he can within his power (and he does have some power) to be seen, treated and promoted as one of the main stars of the show. He won’t do interviews in a group. He won’t share a trailer like the other actors at his level. And thanks to his constant kvetching (and that power!), he’s slowly but surely getting more and more screentime–and this particular fan doesn’t think that’s so much of a good thing. On one recent occasion, Will decided not to show up to work until he got the same name-brand water delivered to his trailer that the main star of the show receives–and it “must be chilled.” Such divadom, no? tr knight cannot act! he is not attractive! i cannot believe that 2 beautiful women are fighting over him. it doesn’t make any sense to me. why don’t they replace him with someone who can act or is at least easy on the eyes.
Jae, i agree with what your saying, but he did apologize and seemed sincre. it seems as though TR was not very forgiving, we all make mistakes, and deserve a second chance….

Your idea with Meredith being just the narrator would be great but they could not do this as it is already used similar in “Desperate Housewives”, that surely would have caused some copyright troubles I guess.
Here the episodes with Izzy and George to become a couple yet have to be shown, but of course I’ve learned about it on the internet and don’t think of it as a good idea. George and Callie fit together, let them stay a couple. She knows how to deal with him and really seems to like him so why change that? And let’s be honest: A guy like George would never get a girl like Izzy, not even on a TV-show this is realistic. He is nice, but not attractive. Callie is sweet, not slim like the rest of girls you see on TV, but hey, that’s why I like her! And her character is interesting, strong-opinioned, a woman who is clever and knows what she’s worth (as she checked that she was just George’s #2 after Meredith), I like that a lot.
But please don’t try to sell us George as the ladies leading man, who goes from Meredith to Callie and then Izzy… as this is just not believable.
Danny I also liked a lot, but the writers let him die. Now find a substitute for Izzy… but not George or Alex please.
And what happens to Cristina now? Dr. Burke was the only man who could handle her, much fun with finding another so fitting character.
Isaiah is so talented, but he needs to move on to bigger and better roles. Like Denzel, only Denzel seems more humble. Isaiah needs to bring it down and knotch and go for some movie roles. **** TV.

Thing with movies is that they only last about two hours. No actor can develop a character as good as in a TV-show, that gives so much time to really show a character over years if a show is a hit and runs longer. I think that’s the advantage.
Some serial character become like “friends” to the audience. A movie can be fascinating and interesting, exciting, whatever. But the characters will seldom hit your heart as much as a good actor can do on a good TV-show, seen in a long term time period.
Maybe that’s also the secret of success for some movie sequels, who knows? Just watched “Die Hard 4.0″ this weekend, and hey, you go in, sit there and watch a few minutes, and then John McClane shows up again and you just have this feeling: ‘Hey, I know this guy!’ I like this feeling of familiarity.
I’m not agreeing with Isaiah on this. Frankly, he needs to just learn to shut the f— up.
BUT…
ABC is full of it with the gay-hab. They sent him to sensitivity training and misrepresented it.
If they were going to fire him, they should have done it when he used the term in the first place, not after it became public or after he used the slur at the Emmy’s. It’s as bogus as MSNBC and CBS radio’s firing of Imus. Don’t get me wrong. I don’t like either one of them, but don’t pretend you’re some champion of justice when you waited and waited and waited and waited for public opinion to determine their course of action. Cowards!
I think that the way that he is carrying on explains the reason that he was fired. He apologized, but he didn’t mean it, and he holds so much hostility towards others. More than enough reason to let someone go in a job that is constantly filled with new talent.
Grey’s is so 5-min ago, hell, 60-min ago! IW should move on, this is probably good for him - cut off from a dying sitcom, w/big publicity surrounding the whole deal.
after all, we all know what happens to sitcom queens after the sitcom dies off… but i digress.

Its not like the man went up to him and say “yo you are a f*****g f*ggot and I hate you!!!” He over heard the word f*ggot and started to cry like wuss!!!! Dude get over yourself!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And for all the other cast members you are all jerks!!! You have made something so insignificant come between your friendship with this man (props to Sandra Oh :) )! There are millions of other problems in the world like hunger, diseases, debt etc but yet you find time to keep some bullsh*t like this up in ur heart. People keep telling Isaiah to get over it, the other cast members need to get over it including T.R.!!

Isaiah baby i’m sorry u had to leave the show b/c cristina&preston xavier burke were my favorite couple, you were the reason why i used to wacth grey’s anatomy, i been a fans of yours since 1996 when i saw you in girl 6 the movie. T.R got notice in 2005and ever since i saw him i knew i was weird. Ike just let it go , God has greater plan for u . T.R all i can say to u is “what’s goes around comes around”, and as for u Katherine if T.R is really ur friend u should of know that is gay and not b embarress whe someone call him a ******, b/c u choose this life, and what about forgive and forget.Just give it a rest man , ur make me sick.Thank God i don’t wacth grey’s anatomy anymore.GROW UP ABOUT UR TRY THAT………………….
