Former American Idol contestant Katharine McPhee takes the August 2007 cover of Stuff Magazine. Interview highlights via Us Weekly are below:
On dating older men (her boyfriend, Broadway actor Nick Cokas, is 42): “When I turned 21, I thought it was a good age to explore. You’re no longer a teenager, so it’s OK [to date older guys]. I gravitated toward them, and I love them. They’re just wiser, and they’re less about themselves and more about you.”
On her new album cover: “People made a big deal out of that. They said, ‘She’s a slut, blah, blah, blah.’ But I’m really not showing that much skin. It’s all suggested.”
On being popular with the fellas:“I was prematurely developed. As a freshman I looked like a junior; I had boobs. Some of the older kids saw me in the yearbook and said I was cute.”
On settling down: “Oh yeah. I want to have, like, 15 babies. I’ve always wanted to be pregnant. One year for Halloween, I decided to be pregnant, so I got this nun costume, and I put a big belly under it. I showed my parents and said I want to go to school as a pregnant nun. My dad sat me down and said, “Katharine, you can’t!”

I’m disgusted with celebs (and she is barely a celeb) who allow photoshopped photos of themselves to be published without a disclaimer. This is who is contributing to the low self esteem and anorexia problems in this country.

No Doubt she’s definitely a beautiful lady. And she is very talented.
Photoshopped? Really. You need to take a look at some pictures from her recent Vegas appearance or the VS store opening in NYC so you could compare legs. But at least this is a neat twist on the usual bitchery, which is about her looking too good.

But, I think she is gorgeous, at least in these pics. Quite natural and good looking.
As to her doing this to “make girls more self-conscious” - that is straight-up the dumbest diss of this ever. It’s not really her fault for being hot? If anything the overall message is that 1.she looks a lot better now that she eats healthily and 2.everyone feels un-glamorous sometimes.
Well personaly i don’t care for her voice but hey thats my opinion but as far as her crusty old boyfriend goes … BARF! i’ve seen him in magazines and there ain’t nuttin even remotly cute about him. Come on Kat don’t be sooooo desperate!

I really have no idea what she is like as a person. I don’t know if she is shallow and conceited or if she is nice and thoughtful.But she is a beautiful girl and i think she can sing. Her problem, is that while she has a very good voice and can hold her own with most pop divas out here, there isn’t anything distinctive and unique about her voice. So to “make it” she will have to sell the total package…not just her voice, but her looks…kind of like a Jessica Simpson (EWWW!) only MUCH better. LOL!!!
She really looks nice though. Nothing to hate on with her. Even though her album flopped, she can still make money with gigs because she can actually sing. Kat should go after George Clooney. They are both Irish Americans and she likes older men and what man to propell her into the stratesphere than George? Plue you know she doesn’t want to get married now an neither does he. Perfect.
Age ain’t nothing but a number, it doesn’t matter how old they are if they stop you in your tracks thinking ‘I’m going to give this a shot’ then dang man, do it! She finds him attractive and that’s all that matters.
Katherine is a Gorgeous REAL woman, who has so much talent and sex appeal. As for her weight, she is not showing ribs or having bony anything, she has meat on her…not every woman who is a celebrity is not skinny or anorexic.
Jealousy is an ugly mask to wear, can’t we women stop bashing one another and stick together?! I guess not.
I hate her, thankgoodness her 7.5 seconds of fame is just about up.

Kat looks real sexy in the last picture all hot and with her hair messed up. Sort of what she would look like if you were her 42 year old boyfriend and just finished ******* her silly. And, if boyfriend is not up to the task of giving her 15 children, well, he’s a total fool!
I’m a guy and I think she is desperately grasping at the last of those 15 minutes of fame. Those pictures are so airbrushed that they should have just made it a cartoon drawing.
Kat is beautiful and talented. She knows who she is and for someone her age, she is confident and poised. She has what it takes to make it and people will take notice of her in the future. It is sad the these young entertainers cannot ride on talent alone but the women have to pose on the covers of magazines and in ads to sell sexuality whether it is makeup, perfume, ect. ect. ect. in order to keep their names out there.
Kat is one of the few singers who can actually sing “Somewhere over the Rainbow” anyone? I cannot wait to see how far she will take that amazing voice of hers and beautiful naturally too!
