Fashion Faceoff: Emma Watson in Chanel
Emma Watson rocked a classy navy blue Chanel dress (modified couture Fall 2006) for the European premiere of Harry Potter And The Order Of The Phoenix” at London’s Odeon Leicester Square on Tuesday. The British actress finished off her look with a pair of matching navy blue pumps. Co-stars Daniel Radcliffe and Rupert Grint were also on hand.

hmmm I have to say emma looks better in the dress. The pants and sleeves the model is wearing seems a bit too much and you cant focuse on the dress design. sure emma could’ve posed better

Sure Emma looks awkward posing but she is a teenager. I like the dress on her and her makeup and hair completes the look. The model is wearing the dress as a tunic but I like the edginess of it, too.

I loathe Emily Watson, but she looks much better than the model. But all about modelling is taking risks and that outfit is a risk taker.

I agree with the previous comments about Watson’s posing and posture. I also think she should have hemmed the dress to keep it from overwhelming her slight frame. Otherwise her look is great. The leggy model pulls it off better.

Emma looks awful, she’s a very pretty girl but the dress is just too much for her tiny frame. The runway model takes it.
Emma. I don’t like the way the model is styled. I’m also pretty impressed by how lovely a runway frock looks on a non-mannequin. Chanel usually looks like crud on people who aren’t super tall….
The model. Ema needs to learn how to pose for the camera. That pose, and the only thing missing is a street corner and a pimp. She’s to cute for that, someone please teach her how to do it.

This girl is almost 18. I Hardly think she looks like “a kid playing dress up”, that’s ridiculous. She is stunning! She gives the dress a whole lot more personality than some non-descript model. And seriously, posing lessons?? Really?? The great thing about the HP actors is that they’re still behaving like people their age and not like some stiff, creepy adult children a la Dakota Fanning. I like them better with their flaws.
Emma. But she does need to learn how to pose better and she should be wearing shoes that are less matchy-matchy and have a more pointed toe. I’ll give her a pass on this one considering I’m just happy she’s not still wearing flats. 17 is a good age to start wearing heels.
emma looks beautiful! she’s smart, intelligent, well mannered, doesn’t act like a diva, and grateful for everything she has. She’s gonna be a heartbreaker when she gets older!
btw she’s still young and slouches a little bit, she just needs to straighten her pose and she’ll be perfect.

The dress is wearing her, she is not wearing the dress. The shoes look to heavy/solid. Her pose it horrible. She looks orange, she’s seems to have lost a lot of weight since i last saw a picture of her and her hair is too blonde. Mmmmm, orange skin, weight loss, ultra blonde hair - sounds like everyother “actress” around.

that was a bad picture of emma to compare with. but i have to say…i hate that fan thingy popping at the front of emma’s dress. but her shoe’s are gorgeous. anyhow, i’ll have to go for the model. i like her hair better but not how she did her strap. also, if she got rid of that horrible jeans thingy, it’ll look 10x better.

I think that anyone who is bad-mouthing Emma’s stunning appearance is just doing it out of jelousy…I wouldn’t have expected any one to pull it off quite as nicely as her! Definately Emma… and don’t say **** about her outfit because you can’t afford anything that could possibly compare to it… Everything she wears is amazing and she looks amazing in anything. She could pull off a trash bag, while still looking hotter than you =P
And about her posture? Okay compared to a Chanel model… Of coarse her posture is worse!! She’s paid to act not to pull back her shoulders, look skinny and sell clothes. She might as well be a model anyways, though. And if anyone looked at any other pictures of her you would know she just has bad posture in this one picture. Emma cannot pose and she looks like she has armpit bracelets in her modified version. HANA SOUKUPOVA is a professional model and Emma is an awful-actress-wannabe-model. That girl needs to take acting class and distance herself from Chanel. Wearing Haute Couture is for sophisticated rich@$$ people only.
P.s. Hana is not wearing jeans. Those are denim boots; ask Karl Lagerfeld.
The model’s looks really bad I think, the dress looks really frumpy. But I only like on Emma by a little more, the top makes her look really flat chested and she looks really uncomfortable in the dress. (And also I love Katie Leung’s dress that I saw behind one of Emma’s pictures.)

she’d look better if she had something on her lips. not something to shocking, but she looks very plain. i think she would look better if the dress had no straps. they’re a bit awkward in where they are placed and it doesn’t compliment her body. i hate her makeup all together. she needs more color and contrast. she blends into her own face and it’s horrible.
