Hawaii’s Bachelor Lt. Andy Baldwin and his bride-to-be Tessa Horst are still together and looking mighty fine.
The couple competed in the “Cholo’s 2000 Swim” off the Hawaiian island of Oahu on Saturday. (Cholo’s restaurant organized the swim event — they serve homestyle Mexican cuisine.) Hundreds of people turned out to compete in and watch the 1.2 mile swim in the waters off Waimea Bay.
Both Andy and Tessa completed the swim in good time. Officer and a Gentleman Andy waited for his “rose” and greeted her with a hug and a kiss as she crossed the finish line.
You can check out this recent interview of Andy and Tessa with KITV 5 Island TV News, which aired on Thursday. Tessa reveals she’s going back home to California on Sunday (today) but will be back to move in with her handsome Navy doctor (rumored to be in August).

What a cute and beautiful couple! Aside from being a natural athlete, Tessa has so many more qualities that attracted Andy. She’s smart, kind, elegant, sophisticated, funny and has a lot of class.

I think he has nice looking shoulders and his upper back is nice. But something looks weird about his lower back. Its like his back merges into his waist and there is not a difference between the two. So then it makes him look like he has a thick waist and somewhat of love handles. If he lost some muscle mass he’d look better. He just looks like a big chunk of muscle and theres not so much definition.

They have renewed the faith of many in (true) LOVE and inspiration in remembering that “anything is possible”. Their parents must be very proud of (both) of them!

Oh they’re sweet together. Try to remember they are just regular people who found each other on a TV show–and not professional models or actors and that said, they look GREAT. It’s good to see they still look happy together–hope we get a televised Andessa wedding.
They are a beautiful couple but I would have to agree with the comments on his Speedo. I don’t think ANY man should wear those things. I’m glad they are both athletic. They have inspired me to challenge myself physically. Best wishes to them.

They both have strange bodies if you look at them for more than a second. It does not matter really but he seems to go out of his way to try to flex and puff up and show off. He needs to grow up and knock it off with the gay posing. I cannot believe he is not gay.
Tessa has the most unusual personality after having seen the show. I do not see the attraction regarding her at all neither in physical or personality. There must be something though.
If they are happy, great but what a sad lame way to meet and then become a couple and talk about marriage. You have to be in it for some publicity, there is no other answer. It is one of the most disturbing shows on television.

I think Andy looks hot. If you’ve got the body and the confidence to pull off a speedo, (which Andy has) then I say go for it.

Thank you so much for posting these lovely pictures of the lovely couple. I totally enjoyed the interviews as well. I love how they are truly so into each other. Tessa is very very beautiful in yellow. Andy has a triathlete body speedo and all. Tessa is demure and in a swim competition so I would not think a two piece bikini is appropriate so she wears a cover all competition bathing suit. They looked great together. Thanks again.

Give them a break! They are not starving themselves or overweight. They look healthy and toned. Take your venon and spew it on horrible things that are going on around the world. He does have a great body, but it does look kinda funny sometimes. Oh well. I know Speedos aren’t the greatest things on earth but when it comes to swimming… one needs to wear something that does not cause unnecessary baggage (like board shorts) because it doesn’t help with the speed/aerodynamics while swimming FAST. I wouldn’t approve of just wearing it around the beach though. As for the one-piece swimsuit..it makes sense to wear it and not some string bikini that would eventually just fall off anyways. Duh!
Tessa is beautiful, elegant and smart. So what if she has an odd, quirky personality. Who doesn’t?!?! We are all weird in our own way.
And who would wear an engagement ring while they are doing a swimming competition? I would put it away for safekeeping so it doesn’t get lost at sea! It can slip off pretty easily.. since I know friends who’ve lost their rings from surfing & other watersports.

This must be a generational thing becasue I love a fit man in a speedo. I can’t get over guys covering up their bodies on the beach pratically wearing tablecloths down to their knees. That looks ridiculous to me. In any event, if you’re a swimmer you wear a suit you can swim in. Not yards of material that will drown you.
Oh, I’m sure they are lovely people but he always seems very suspect to me. He pings to high heaven. I don’t expect any self-revelations with the military thing and all and his obvious enthusiasm for having a very public blow-out wedding, but every instinct tells me this guy is gay.

I live in Spain for 4 years and men wear speedo all the time. People are just jealous that Andy found the love of his life who is a total jem…smart, poise, elegant, athletic yet feminine, kind, adventurous, intelligent and most of all loving and caring towards Andy. What a man does not want a woman like Tessa! Andy…a great American guy who I salute for serving the country so others can enjoy the freedom (like these f**ls are talking about these wonderful couple). On the record, the television vote on who will win the final rose was 67% in favor of Tessa, and 37% in favor of Bevin. My suggestion is that you get a book which address all three virtues, INTELLECTUAL, CARDINAL OTHERWISE KNOWN AS MORAL, AND THEOLOGICAL.
I will be address Maureem in the near future when I have all my documentation with dates. This is the woman who beg and pleaded with Andy to “please pick Bevin otherwise she will have a breakdown” For now Maureen I say, would you want your son to be saddled with an emotional reck?
Andy and Tessa please remember that you have millions of fans including this grandmother rooting for you. We love you and praying for a blessed union, good luck, God’s blessings and guidance.
Wow Patricia….I feel happy and fulfilled after reading your postings here. It’s been my hope and prayer that there would be a person, spiritually blessed, have patience and time in doing this here….a person like you, and it’s great and awesome “you’re the answer”. After reading those bad comments/postings here, I did not feel bad for Tessa & Andy, but for those people who posted bad comments. You can really tell lots of people now are not happy and not peaceful, and its because what they see and talk about more are materials, physical and other “wants” they forget what’s inside of them. I really really feel bad about that mother talking about her sons, I was shock but…I dont know what else should I say “poor kids” There’s no way to reach them ’cause we don’t really know them but I’m hoping in reading here they could pick up something and learn something that help their minds and thoughts peaceful and happy. If they keep doing it, I bet their life would be mesirable, and never would find that happiness & peace they are looking for. People! you keep complaining about war and looking for peace….START IT WITHIN YOU guaranteed you’ll have it. Peace, Hope and Love to all visitors of this page.

Thanks for your kind words Lynn and Mary Lou. Actually I consider myself a sinner who is trying to live a christian life. I did consider becoming a Nun, but the Lord called me to minister to the sick as a Nurse and to my church community as a member of the choir. Yes I was tired of reading the negative, unecessary, cruel attacks that were being levelled on Andy and Tessa which they do not and did not deserve. A young man went on television with the hope of finding a woman who would become his life time partner out of twenty (25) women. He did just that and set an avalanche of bitter women with undisciplined emotional values who knew that only one of them will win this young man’s heart. I came upon the show by chance an the 5th or 6th episode just as Bevin was telling Andy about her teenage years and her divorce. What jugged me was the casual manner it was said, quote “by the way I want you to know as it might come out when we visit my family”. I got curious and wanted to know what the show was about, and ofcause found out it was the bachelor’s show. I was very impressed with Andy’s bio, so I want back and watched the previous episodes and my choice was Tessa. Realising that this young couple were being ostracize because they fell in love with each other, and Andy did not pick who some wanted him to pick. It got me pretty upset and knew that something must be done. After a while the word EDUCATE came to mind, the very first of the INTELLECTUAL VIRTUES “TO EDUCATE THE UNEDUCATED” and I know that as christians, we have a moral duty and responsibility to at lease try to correct that which is wrong. If their eyes are closed and cannot see their wrongful deeds, call then to task. If they have a closed mind, throw a seed of hope and pray that they will let the holy spirit in and allow it to grow into love. As we say in my faith, only love and love alone can bring peace. Who are we if we stand by and allow injustice to continue?. Mother Theresa once said that “we are all called by God for a special mission on our earthly journey. We do not have to wait to do big things, it is the little things done with great love that makes a diffrence”. Mary Lou I was in total disbelief about the 8 year boy that was why I adderssed it first. The mother has her priorities displaced. We are charged by God if we call ourselves christian parents to create a spiritually stable enviroment where our children can grow up to become productive, contributory members of society like Andy Baldwin and Tessa Horst. I promised to do this, and will make time to do it.
Good for you Patricia to give a piece of your mind to “those” trashy minded individuals–especially the one who discussed her 8 years old son’s genital. Disgrace and Shameful!! Where are these evil people come from? What happens to their dignity? Why do they have to say such demeaning things about someones that they never met and never done anything to them–Especially people like Andy and Tessa. Those people need to spend more time to refect on themselves rather than busy critizing how Andy and Tessa should look!!!
I think that they are both made for each other, not only by their good physical qualities, but the type of charity work that they both do for other people. All of you that critisize them are quite shallow in your thinking and should read a little more TRUE INFORMATIOON, rather than just guesstimating. What is it with you people when two wonderful people get together, be happy for them instead of bashing!!!!!!!! Get a life!!!

I love this couple. I was so happy when he chose Tessa, she is sweet and loving and just RIGHT for him, they will make beautiful children together. I wish them all the best in their endeavours and they make me hopeful and encouraged.
