Fashion Faceoff: Catherine Malandrino Dress

Brittany Snow looked svelte and chic in a strapless yellow dress by designer Catherine Malandrino at the Los Angeles premiere of Hairspray on Tuesday. The 21-year-old actress, who plays evil dance queen Amber von Tussel in the film, finished off her look with a pair of black pointy pumps and a cute clutch.

Nicole Richie glammed up in a clean, white version of the Catherine Malandrino dress during a taping of The Late Show with David Letterman last month. The possibly pregnant starlet finished off her look with a pair of peep-toe pumps by Christina Louboutin.

ill say nicole..with such a bright yellow dress, the (gangsta earings’ are not necessary) and those shoes are ugly..pointy toe shoes are so 2004. a pair of gold or silver or white sandals would have been better. nicole kept it simple with no jewerly which you should do when your dress is that dramatic.

Britney,those shoes are horrid just ugly,ugly,ugly, can we say ‘Hocus Pocus’. The extremely yellow-banana whatever colored dress she is wearing is to BRIGHT and LOUD!!Cant miss her in the club or if it’s dark at night.

I would just love to raid her closet! Her hair is beautifully styled she is one of HollyWeird’s best dressed.JMO. Nicole looks like she is at a premier or something the white dress suits her, so Nicole gets my vote.

Brit Snow don’t know who she is but she looks nice. I just can’t stand those leprechaun shoes and sorry but the dress makes her hips look wide. She looks nice though, as someone mention the eye make up is to dramatic. Her hair is nice.

Brittany. The dark eye makeup and black shoes give it a slight rocker vibe, yet the sleek and simple style of the dress keep it classy. The extra fabric overwhelms nicoles teeny frame.

Nicole is definitely the winner here.
Even though she might be too skinny, she looks absolutely gorgeous from head to toe. She looks clean and classy. Her shoes go so well with the dress.

Brittany looks alright, but its no “wow.”
Her dark make-up, pointy shoes, and gold earrings do not go well with the dress.

Obviously its Nicole, she’s not a style icon for no reason.
