On plastic surgery: “I’ve had none. But maybe after having kids, if my boobs dropped down to my bellybutton, I would get them lifted. But you know, my boobs are real.”
On a fellow Texan helping her with acting: “Willie Nelson taught me an amazing thing on (2005’s) The Dukes of Hazzard: He memorizes his lines by writing them as a song, and they become a melody to him. I’ve been wanting to do a country record because it’s just my roots; it’s my soul. I aspire to be like Patsy Cline. Willie actually turned me on to her because he used to be one of her background singers.”
On how she compensates with her 5-foot-figure: “I just wear really high heels.”
On believing men like shapely women: “I don’t get the whole rail thing.”
On her preference of singing or acting: “In my music career, there have been moments of failure, and with acting, I haven’t had that yet. But music is opening up my heart and every emotion inside of me.”
On what she’s do if she wasn’t acting or singing: “I’d be a therapist”
On her on-again, off-again boyfriend John Mayer: “I love his Continuum record. There’s your answer.”

huh, shes not had a failure in movies? just how does she define success? and do people’s lips tend to just get bigger without some sort of external help? i didn’t realize your lips just start growing one day. her answers are head scratchers.

BTW, I’m totally sick of voluptuous women calling themselves ‘real women’ and bagging on women who are naturally thin. Are we not ‘real women’ because we are skinny and not as ample in the bust? This is insulting and completely ignorant. If you are going to embrace woman-hood Jessica Simpson (and all other celebrities claiming to be ‘real women’ just because they are curvaceous) then you should celebrate the fact that we come in different shapes and sizes and it’s not the size of our breasts that makes us ‘real’.

She comes off as dumb in this interview, After her dad pretty much said her last movie was a flop, her statement makes her seem stupid. I understand the artical was before her dad made that statement, but most of the public will not know that.
Her chin looks manly her hand looks rough and manly and not to mention those legs are horrible. I wonder do she take steroids?

I was thinking the samething Iris, that ticked me off. I was born thin and have been thin for 30 years and I am a real woman, just because I do not have sagging fat tats like hers does not make me less of a woman and my shape is 10 times better than hers and by the way Jess I have a PHD, maybe if you did more than sat your a$$ around and eat you would not be so closed minded and relized like Iris said “we come in different shapes and sizes and it’s not the size of our breasts that makes us ‘real’.
