OlderPosh: We Want to Embrace American Culture
Posh Spice, otherwise known as Victoria Beckham, speaks with The Today Show’s Matt Lauer to “clear up some misconceptions about her sometimes sour disposition, her family’s move to L.A., and her much-publicized friendship with Katie Holmes.”
On accepting American culture: “We are so excited about America. We want to embrace the culture with open arms. This is a huge move for us, for our children. You know, David takes his career very seriously. This is a big, big deal for us.”
On some people thinking she always looks too serious: “I know. It’s always about the outfit, you know? … At the end of the day there’s always a lot of press around. They select the pictures they want. They make you look the way they want you to look. It’s an image. I think there are some people that would be quite devastated should I actually smile or look pleasant, for that fact.”
On not being as famous as other couples in Los Angeles: “We have a great life. But we are relatively private, you know? And there are so many really famous people in LA. I mean, we always joke about it and say, ‘You know, you got Brad Pitt. You got Angelina Jolie. You got Tom. You got Katie. I mean, we’ll just be Victoria and David.”
On her BFF Katie Holmes: “She’s a very strong, sweet, lovely girl. She’s helped me so much with the move. She’s genuinely a nice girl. Wonderful family.”
On how frequent she cleans the toilet bowl: “Every now and then. In a pinch.”

Yes, they are sooooooooooooooo private. I never hear anything about Posh and Becks. I have never seen any 2 people so desperate for attention. She has got nothing–in today’s celebrity culture you don’t need anything (certainly not talent) to be “where she is now.” Just ask Paris and Nicole.

Well # 1 Brad and Angie and David and Posh should not be friends. I think we all know what would happen there. Angie and David would get together. Angie could not help herself. However I don’t think htat David is into adopting kids and running to other countries all the times for photo ops with naked children.

I disagree with Posh. THEY ARE ATTENTION SEEKERS. That photospread is a disgrace for parents with three small boys. Now and forever their friends will have acess to pix of their dad almost doing their mom in bed. Are other parents supposed to respect people like these and send their kids over to visit. Certainly not to overnight, because these two may be walking around naked. they don’t have live-in help because at night they close the doors and walk around naked!!! Get real! when she said relatily private, she meant they are private with their private life. which is true, yes she publicies herself too much but that’s only professionally. When people take pictures of her, she’s shopping or doing something else public. But you hardly see pics of her family on holidays, you get some shots but its not like Brangelina. And she hardly talks about their private life, she jokes ’bout it at times.
And she knows she’s not a talented actress…and that’s not the point of their move in LA. You know its not your call to decide whether she gets photographed or not, the press wants to photograph her because her photos are worth 100,000 or maybe millions. So as long as they get money from her pics they won’t stop taking them… so good luck trying to ignore them…they will be around for quite sometime. And America seems to be loving it because all of a sudden the whole world is gonna start talking about american soccer, which is a first!

Rebecca Loos wasn’t the childrens nanny she was David’s PA. And its none of our business if he cheated or not, obviously Victoria forgave him. It’s not like that was the first cheating in ‘celebrity world’ those things happen daily but just because it happened to them, they all of a sudden are awful people.
All of you are full of misconceptions about her and its just plainly ridiculous…let her be what harm is she doing to you??? If you don’t like them don’t bother to read articles about them and see pics about them or even comment on them, that just makes them stronger and gets more attention.
Pink Rose, RIGHT ON! These people try SO HARD to make everyone believe they are sex objects to each other, and people who are REALLY in love don’t go to these lengths to try to prove it. That photo layout was so funny, SO lowclass, these people in all these sexual poses and they just looked so UNsexy, posing away with no chemistry or sex-appeal in the ugliest underwear I have ever seen.
Victoria knows David cheated on her, and she can’t stand the thought that everyone knows he is trapped in this LOVELESS marriage. Victoria has an ugly body, stupid boob job, and no matter what she does, no matter how anorexic she is, this is the best she will look, and that is isn’t saying much and David knows this is the best it will ever be and it is going downhill fast if they have to try SO hard to sell themselves as something everyone knows they aren’t - a loving couple. After seeing her on this interview, I must say, I had no idea how REALLY self-centered and extaordinarily VAPID this woman is, and she sure did prove that. She also proved the Beckhams are so in need of attention, why DO this interview, DOES she really think “Americans” give a rat’s patoot about her? God, to be so out of touch with reality, living in Fantasyland like that, what a stupid clod. Must suck to be them, always in such need of attention, must be actually painful for them if they go five minutes without attention. And I just laugh the way they have their people on this blog posting away for them, as IF it isn’t obvious as hell, since the same stuff appears on all the blogs, in all the threads. Christ, they are so stupid themselves, they assume the rest of the world is as dumb as they are.

Americans simply do not like Victoria (and her PR machine can’t change that) and Americans see David with a ring in his nose. David alone might help the soccer image, but not with Victoria the attention-wh#re along for the ride. This ridiculously bad photo shoot and the interview proving how self-absorbed this couple is only made matters worse for them. They need to lay low and just BE, but their compulsive need for attention will not allow them to use their heads and understand that. If anything, soccer will suffer because of them.

Its none of our business if they gets photographed or not. If you can’t stand them don’t bother reading stuff about them and later commenting on it, it just makes you all look really stupid! And it seems like you have nothing better to do.
Both the Beckhams and Brangelina pictures are worth millions but unlike Brangelina, the Beckhams don’t go round doing photoshoots with their kids. Thats the whole point of being relatively private.

I didn’t mind the photos because until I saw these pictures, I always thought Victoria had a decent body, well, without those ugly boobs. but once she took her clothes off I saw I was wrong, she looks pretty bad uncovered. Maybe your right, they might not get that whole attention they want cos Americans seem to like fake/ self absorbed couple.
