On he and Ben Affleck getting their first big paycheck after selling the script for Good Will Hunting: We both bought Jeep Grand Cherokees. It was funny, because Ben and I, we both always wanted a Jeep Grand Cherokee for some reason. That was the car. We always talked about it but never could afford one. So when we suddenly had the money, we each instantly started trying to convince each other to get a different car. We’d say, ‘Hey, have you seen the Explorer? The Ford Explorer is really cool.’ Because we knew it would just be so gay to get the same car.
On why not commenting on his personal life makes him a better actor: The better the actor, the less you know about his life. “I mean, nobody’s better than De Niro, and you don’t know anything about him, right?” Look at Meryl. We don’t know st about Meryl. Look at Clint. And Jack. And Brando. Marlon Brando—who f*ing knows, right?

I don’t think Matt is that good of an actor- I find his acting stoic. He will not be remembered as one of the greats.

First, the public does not know Brad’s personal life, they know the made-up, speculative tabloid crap.
Second, a man of color being President is unprecedented. It would say a lot about this country if people could truly look at what the person could truly bring. A man who was the first African-American editor of Law Review at Harvard. For you kiddies, being editor for law review in law school is a prestigious honor and only those w/ the intellectual grades are even considered.
Third, Matt is an intelligent man and he is right about the Obama comment. Also he is not a backstabber so this was not a comment on B & A.
Fourth, Matt is a great actor and can’t wait for The Bourne Ultimatum even though it has nothing to do w/ the books. For those who like to read (which is becoming a lost art) the bourne books are a great read.

Dumb.
Nobody cares about Deniro or streep because people they are not that interesting personalities, but it doesnt necessarily means becuse they are better actors. So he thinks he is like Deniro or brando or streep just because people dont really care bout him, i think this gut has got much of an ego as well and is being defensive why the tabs dont really write about him.
Another thing. Montgomery Clift and Marlon Brando certainly had their issues ( Clift killed himself and Brando had his demons - we know about that ****). What makes a great actor is if even if they are in the public eye a lot, the second you see them on screen, they make the character come alive and you forget about their real life for a few hours.
I can’t believe THIS is the same guy that wrote Goodwill Hunting. I still love the Bourne movies, but that’s where my love stops.

Luciana’s gorgeous. Matt’s smart, has great taste in roles and says he tries not to be interesting so the media will leave him alone.
He’s looking to have a long career and not be a paparazzi target, which would affect his ability to live his life in private.
