HEIL CRUISE!!!
Here is a side-by-side comparison of Tom Cruise dressed in his role as a Nazi German, the real Colonel Claus von Stauffenberg, whom he plays in his latest historical thriller Valkyrie.
Cruise has been filming in Berlin with director Bryan Singer (X-Men 2, Superman Returns). Valkyrie, which based on the true story of the German officers’ plot to assassinate Hitler in 1944, is set for a Aug. 8, 2008 release.

Wow there are some similaries. I will be watching this movie for sure. Love Tom Cruise.
This should be a great movie. Tom looks good in this picture. This was a true story. Too bad the guy did not succeed.
don’t embarrass yourself jared. the shout-out is pathetic and very unnecessary.not to mention insensitive to everyone who had to suffer through the holocaust.
cruise looks like stauffenberg so much though and with bryan singer directing and tom wilkinson in it, it’s bound to be good (i hope).

^the ’shout out’ doesn’t only refer to ‘Heil Hitler’ through the years it has been used for a lot of other occasions such as ‘Heil Ceasar’ (the nazis actually ‘based’ it on the Romans)
but yeah, can’t wait for the movie … Carice van Houten is awesome :)
Cruise is a very good actor, and he puts everything into his performances. Regardless of what people think about his ego, his acting abilities should not be disregarded. This will probably be a compelling film.

Personally, this little midget will never get one more $ of my money………….won’t even watch his crap on TV. People like him do not deserve the adoration of anybody.
I’m not a Tom lover but I’m anxious to see this movie, I think he’s capable of doing justice to this subject and hopefully keep the story of the Holocaust alive. It’s beginning to seem like ancient history yet it happened just a few years before I was born. Sorry it will be a year before I can see it.
I think he will do a good job with this film. It will be easy for him to play someone indoctrinated. Someone who believes his way is the only way and anyone disagreeing with him is just being glib and uneducated. Probably even “SUBHUMAN”.

Wonder if he will massacre the German accent? Remember Far and Away… Irish accent? Loser!
I think it’s good that there will be one more movie about nazism and its consequences, there are people out there that are already trying to deny that olocaust ever existed, it’s a shame. In some country denying that it ever happened it’s illegal.
As for this movie, I’ve never heard of Claus von Stauffenberg, it should be interesting to see his story. Say what you want about tom cruise, he’s still a great actor, I think this will be a good movie.

nope sorry i desagree brad wasn’t bad but Tom played a blinder , he was absolutely brilliant playing this vicious demented vamp, he played the character exactly how Ann Rice wrote it.

I’m not a big Tom fan, but I think that he is a wonderful actor; and his movies usually does well. It’s good to see that he’s doing a different movie other than the sci-fi, alien, confusing movies e.g. vanilla skys, minority report, war of the world. And I love Interview with a vampire also, that’s on my list of favorite movies. Whether people like him or not, he always delivers.
I can’t remember watching a movie where cruise does not do a character justice. He is one of those actors who give their whole and that is why to me his movies are a must watch. I can’t wait for lions for lambs in November. Better prepare my butt.
Tom cruise will always be Tom Cruise. Even if he jumped on a hundred couches, he will forever be a superb actor and a beautiful person in and out. He is also an excellent father and a perfect gentleman. I am sure he will do this character justice. The resemblance to singer is uncanny. Perfect casting.

Everyone will watch this movie, Tom doesn’t make box office flops. Oscar nomination for sure.
Someone mentioned Tom and Brad - I don’t think those two are on the same level. Tom’s by far a better actor and his films gross more money.

Well, I´ve certainly had enough Nazi-movies to last me for a lifetime.
We already had to watch them all the time at school.
