‘Hairspray’ Cast @ The Today Show
The cast of Hairspray performed at The Today Show concert series at Rockefeller Center on Friday morning in New York City.

For some, being overweight is an addiction to sugar and carbs. Thin people obviously aren’t addicted to those substances. But being so judgemental is ugly.
This Zac guy looks exactly like Clay Gayken. Does no one else see that? He is a clone.

well I just got back from the movie and it was great! I felt like applauding after every song and at the end I realized I wasn’t the only one who felt that way because everyone in the audience busted out into applause at the end of the movie.
I also haven’t laughed so much at a movie in a really long time. There is some really funny stuff and it is just hilarious watching John Travolta as Edna and Christopher Walken together! It was a riot!
The whole thing was great - the casting was perfect!
ZAC was adorable as LINK and he did a great job, I loved watching him! I can’t wait to see him in HSM2 and Footloose and I’m a mom!
oh and for those who say why remake it when Ricki Lake already did it - I say why not! She obviously approved because she makes a cameo at the end of the movie!
Thank God the headline doesn’t read “Zac Efron at Today Show” this time. I hope that you talk about the other stars in the movie from now on and not just Zac Efron.

Um I guess you did not here that in about 10 years 75% of the US population will be OBESE. Not cute and veryone will be dying left and righ by age 40. How you can condone a lack of self discipline and poor nutritional habits (obesity) which in turn bring about a host of medical problems is beyond me. The US never use to be like this.
No, Disdain, we didn’t “here” (sic) that stat. “Hear” it? Sure.
Also, if you want to compare the US of old versus today, you can lay the blame on a sendentary lifestyle that we have versus the days of old.
And as for condoning it? Why because no one is throwing stones at her or other overweight people? Take your ideas of what is considered beautiful or acceptable and stuff it.

JJ you’re making Zac Efron come off as the best new thing in Hollywood; your making people hate him! :p sure he is very refreshing but he’s yet to prove himself. don’t get me wrong i see his appeal too
I went and saw the movie and it was AWESOME..Zac is soo hot in it andthe rest of the cast was perfect..The moive made me laugh and it made me want to get up and stat dancing…!!!

I am absolutely in love with this movie. For anyone who makes fun of Nikki Blonsky can go screw themselves…this movie is amazing and Nikki is amazing in it.
I hear that Nikki and Zac are really great friends in real like and I think she did am amazing job. Her singing is on and she is pleasent to watch.
This movie deserves everything it gets. I love the cast and I love Zac in this movie. He is proving to be a good actor. Soon he will star in the remake of “Footloose”
See this movie! ITS AMAZING! Dont let anyone swade your decision!!

Okay, I’m the bitchy one when, it’s comes to cheesy, sing song type of sheeit movies. My 11 year old son wanted to see Hairspray this morning. I took him. OMG! This movie was so GOOD and So FUNNY!!! I don’t understand the people in the theater were not laughing that, much. Not much their but, really old people (65 or older). I guess they had took to much medication upon leaving the nursing home to watch, Hairspray.
John Travolta-fricking hilarious! I have a new Respect for the Queen! Queen Latifah did an amazing job! Nikki was great, Zac, Amanda Baynes and Michelle Pfiffer! A very talented cast! Very well done. People, that didn’t like this movie has, a major stick up their ass!!!

Has anybody noticed that nicki started getting a little too many extra pounds, I’d even say she looks chubby. And John Travolta is getting big enough he’s got Man Boobs. Yucky.

I actually prefer this Hairspray to the one with Ricki Lake. Nikki Blonsky is adorable, there is nothing wrong if she’s fat. Zac Efron is Hot, and Queen Latifah can sing, And I Love James Marsden
And also I saw the Musical of Hairspray on Broadway in New York City When i went over the summer…..It was different though Little Inez didnt win the contest tracy did…and they also have more songs and stuff…and it was just FABULOUS
