Why are some people here bringing up all kinds of other issues around the world? What is this article about? Dogfighting is it not? What is wrong with being outraged by this?

Stick with the subject matter why don’t you? Why bring up Darfur and bullfighting, and slavery and every other prooblem in the world? How do you know the same people who are furious about this animal abuse isn’t concerned about other issues as well?

So to prove oneself as not being a hypocrite as someone here so blatantly assumes of everyone who feels strongly against animal cruelty, one must proclaim him/herself a vegatarian who owns no leather goods? To say that dogfighting is wrong, one must also express how distressing all the problems in the world are as well?

In order to say this is wrong, must we also bring up hatred for the rapists and pedophiles? Must we also talk about child abuse and terrorism? Must we also talk about necrophilia and domesic violence? I don’t see anything wrong whatsoever with expressing anguish at these inhumane acts to dogs as this is what this thread and article is about.

Please, those of you who want talk about all the other issues, be it human rights or AIDS or world hunger when this article is clearly about breeding Pitbulls solely for dogfighting, go prove how educated or how non-hypocritical you are someplace else. All these issues you so badly want to talk about is irrelevant here. Clearly you have a strong desire to impress. Instead of attempting to sound intelligent and well-informed on a gossip blog, why not put all that energy and whatever it is you’re so full of in a forum that actually discusses those issues?

Innocent until proven guilty in the court of law? I bet these same people believe O.J is innocent. And for vegetarians who chose to do so because of their respect for living creatures. Are plants not living things as well? Do plants not have life? Are they not killed when you eat them? Come to think of it, bacteria and viruses are life too, so by taking antibiotics, you are in fact killing millions of lives. Eating meat does not make one a hypocrite. I don’t think many meat eaters out there would approve of animals being tortured to death so that they could eat them.

I am by no means crticizing the way you choose to live. Don’t eat meat, don’t wear shoes, belts or buy leather purses. Whatever helps you sleep at night. But hey, there’s no need to call others hypocrites just because they don’t live the way YOU think they should. If you want to be so technical about it and pick on dog lovers who eat meat, why don’t you also include environmentalists who read books or buy/use anything that contains plastic. Do you know for a fact that every household product you use, every cosmetic product you own (gel, shampoo, soap etc.), every medicine you have ever ingested have not been tested on lab animals, being the vegetarian you are?

Some people call themselves vegetarians but eat fish, eggs, drink milk. And where do eggs and milk come from? I don’t know what kind of vegetarian you are and frankly, I don’t care. What I find repulsive is the self-righteous attitude you have. Bringing up all kinds of global issues as if you are the only person who “cares” and is “aware”. What does this article have to do with that? How do you know people who care about animal abuse don’t also care about human beings? What makes you so special? What’s with the my mommy is an attorney my daddy is the president talk? Does that make you a more caring or a more intelligent person? It just means your mommy had intercourse with your daddy and had you. If you want to be respected for your opinions, earn it. What your mother, father, brother sister, cousin twice removed does for a living doesn’t mean jack.

By saying your so and so does whatever it is for a living is supposed to prove your opinions are worth more? All bow down to child of attorney, she/he obviously knows it all and everyone else who doesn’t think exactly the same way to this person whose parent is an attorney is a hypocrite.

Jared, I am really upset that you caused this riotous behavior on your blog. I would expect this of Perez, but not you. This modern day lynching of Michael Vick is totally unnecessary. MV is being executed in the media right now and that is just not right.

I do not believe in animal cruelty, I have a labrador retriever that I love dearly (Moses). The evidence agaimst MV is circumstantial. I agree wholeheartedly with Team Lara Croft’s dialogue. MV is treated less than a human at this point and you are leading the pack on this blog.
