Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie, leurs quatre enfants et une «escorte» de plus d’une dizaine d’employés sont en Charente depuis plusieurs jours. L’escapade à l’Aventure Parc de Massignac du couple le plus traqué au monde, révélé mercredi par Charente Libre, était bien réelle. Les deux stars américaines passent des vacances familiales dans le château de La Couronne à Marthon. Une superbe propriété avec chambres luxueuses appartenant à des Anglais.

Brad et sa jolie Angélina sont arrivés avec enfants et personnel par avion à l’aéroport de Brie-Champniers, samedi dernier. Un avion-taxi loué pour l’occasion. Ils ont ensuite filé jusqu’au château de La Couronne qui avait été soigneusement «préparé». Bouclé, sécurisé, il devait permettre de garder le secret sur l’identité de ses hôtes VIP. Et jusqu’à lundi, rien ou presque n’avait fui. Ils profitaient tranquillement de la douceur charentaise et auraient même cherché à trouver le château de leurs rêves dans la région.

Des rumeurs circulaient dans le Montbronnais, en Charente Limousine. On signalait leur présence dans une boulangerie de Chabanais, dans un restaurant à Pressignac, aux Domaines des Étangs à Massignac… des infos toutes démenties. Rien de vraiment concret. Peut-être parce que tous ceux qui étaient dans la confidence étaient tenus par des contrats de confidentialité… ou par des intérêts financiers. Pour les autres, c’était «trop gros». Hier, plusieurs «témoins» jouaient un peu le même air: «Je savais mais je n’osais rien dire de peur de passer pour un clown.»

Paris Match puis Voici

Le couple Pitt-Jolie s’est fondu dans le décor. Ils sont passés - presque - inaperçus dans la petite commune de l’Est-Charente comme lors de leurs différents déplacements, notamment à Aventure Parc. Ils auraient même fait un rapide voyage en avion à Prague au milieu de la semaine où ils ont été débusqués par des paparazzi, pour revenir jeudi en Charente. Incroyable quand on sait que le «plus beau couple du monde» est actuellement le plus épié de la planète people.

Plus étonnant, les journaux spécialisés d’habitude si prompts à bondir sur la moindre miette d’info ont «boudé» le scoop de Charente Libre. Paris Match a été le premier à réagir. Contacté par quelqu’un qui voulait vendre des photos, l’hebdomadaire a téléphoné jeudi soir pour «être sur de l’info» avant de publier une brève timide sur son site Internet. Hier, Voici qui avait eu vent de la présence du couple le plus en vue d’Hollywood en France depuis quelques jours est également venu à la pêche aux indices comme un journaliste américain installé à Paris.

Ce qui est probable, c’est que Marthon devienne dès aujourd’hui la capitale des zooms télescopiques et autres chasseurs de stars. Une chasse à l’image à laquelle le couple est très habitué mais qui pourrait contrarier un peu la fin de leur séjour prévu dans une semaine.

Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie, their four children and an escort of more than twelve employees have been in Charente for several days. The most hounded couple in world’s escapade to the Adventure Park in Massignac reported yesterday by “Charente Libre” was really true. The two American stars are spending their family holidays in the Château of La Couronne, in Marton. A magnificent property with luxury rooms owned by English people.

More astonishing, the specialized papers, usually so quick to jump at the slightest crumb of information, sulked at Charente Libre’s scoop. Paris-Match was the first to react. Contacted by someone who wanted to sell photos, the magazine called us Thursday evening to “be up to the news” before publishing a timid short in their internet site. Yesterday, Voici, that had heard rumours of the most famous Hollywood couple’s presence in France for days, also came fishing for evidence, as did an American journalist from Paris. Probable Marthon will from now on become the capital of the telescopic zooms and other star’s seekers. A stalking the couple is well used to, but may compromise a bit the objective of their stay, planned for one more week.

Hey… I’d rather be considered pretentious than some asshat nimrod whose decisions in life is dictated solely by what the Jolie-Pitts do on a vacation. Are you planning a trip to a Canadian mall too? Or maybe that IHOP in the Midwest?

I notice that Jared has an ad for Chelsea Handler’s show up. I understand that the man’s got to make a living, but Chelsea’s clearly drunk the E! kool-aid. I checked in for a couple of episodes - she has a panel of ‘celebs’ talk about topics. She had Ken Baker on (former west coast editor of UStinkly). The first topic was celebrity adoption. Now, if you want to talk about adoption, the list is frickin’ endless: Tom Cruise/Nicole Kidman, Stephen Spielberg, Calista Flockhart, Sharon Stone, Meg Ryan, and ACTUALLY in the entertainment news this week, Michelle Pfeiffer. But did they talk about anyone except for Angelina (BP curiously missing the diss!)? No. Bai Ling knows her from Sky Captain and tried to defend her, but Ken Baker said emphatically that everything, including adopting her children, was for PR. Bai Ling is not exactly a fluent speaker of English (plus she’s a bit wacko), so Chelsea leapt right in and tried to twist her support of AJ into something perverse. I have to give BL credit; she did not give up. And Victoria Jackson (no brain trust herself) piped up with I don’t know why she can’t adopt from her own country.

To that, I say, Mariane Pearl said it best, Angelina is a citizen of the world.

Anyway. That was a pretty sour experience. Then i cruised by another night and who was on the panel? Ted C. I did not even stop to see what shizz he was purveying.

There must have been a memo. Thou shalt trash the JPs — really AJ, and if some celeb says something nice about one of them, omit or edit or make into something negative if at all possible and if not, downplay.

I guess, what did I expect from the ‘network’ that sends only love to Paris, Paula Abdul, and Eva Longoria (not that I have anything against Eva, but you’d think she was an Oscar-calibre actress and actually newsworthy the amount of suck-up coverage they provide.

Okay, my rant is over for today. Love live the J-Ps!

You know when you are the preittest flower in the garden people will want to pick you first. Well that is angelina. Yeah there is nicole kidman and those other people who adopt children. But angelina is the gem you know and they are haters who want to put her down. And angelina still dosent give a damn what they say so that angers them so they’ll keep getting on her. If angelina went on a rage and broke down they would be doing there job. Chelsea handler reminds me of my 9th grade English teacher. Everyday she would rant talking about angelina is a hoe she would say A “Beautiful Hoe though”…That class was a lot of fun because we would talk about her and i had people on my side backing angelina up. My teacher changed her mind by the end of the year,she couldnt belive when i told her angelina was pregnant. But those pictures of angelina in people magazine (with refugees and the article from people’s most beautiful)changed her mind about her.But my teacher was a crazy cooook! She was having a affair on her husband at the time. The whole class happend to know

I saw it..she had a crackheaded lady who was really on somthing,that stupid guy from U.S weekly looking like he was smoking crack with the lady next to him. And then we had poor bi-ling..poor thing really tried to defend angelina but she isnt a fluent speaker of english.I was actually laughing because chelsea handler, that weird lady,and the guy who looks like he wants to come out the closet really cant talk they r outcasts to the society and think that they should make fun of celebs to fit in.

As we have just read in the Charente Libre article, the French tabloids (at least) are already on the J-Ps’ trail. (Well “Voici” is a supermarket tabloid, Paris-Match is a general interest magazine with articles on political and social affairs and lots of celebrity pics.)

So this second week they won’t probably be able to go the bakery (French bakeries rock!) and to the local shops and restaurants. Which is a pity, French villages are so charming and the countryside in that area is really beautiful. :(
