Philippine Prisoners Dance “Thriller”
1,500 Philippine prisoners dance to Michael Jackson’s ‘Thriller’ at the Cebu Provincial Detention and Rehabilitation Center (CPDRC) in Cebu, Philippines. LOVE IT!!! Watch the video below –
And as an added bonus, check out the inmates of CPDRC dancing to “I Will Follow Him” from Sister Act and “Hail Holy Queen” from Sister Act 2. AND to top it off, they also performed Queen’s “Radio Gaga”.
Who wants to go to jail now??

Do you think they had to audition the role of the man in drag? Or to be in that lead triangle?

Why not? Let them have some fun and recreation, keeps morale up, and violence down while they are there in the system. It is a brilliant idea.

I really enjoyed these videos, they’re dancing their asses off. I didn’t know Filipinos had that kind of rhythm.

I am a Filipino myself and I know how life in the Philippines can be so difficult. Most of these men are driven by the need to survive, poverty being the cause of their own demise. Although of course, the choice will always be theirs.
We are grateful these inmates have something worthwhile to do inside those cells. And these videos tell so much about us, Filipinos. That despite life’s odds and difficulties, all the suffering, our resilience will withstand anything.

You should be proud of your country. The videos are a testament of the Philippians doing something positive in their prisons.
I am from Luzon and now live in California. I haven’t met any Filipino who doesn’t know how to dance. Thanks JJ. Unique post of my countrymen.

FYI - I noticed that the one who uploaded the video is the brother of the current governor of the province of Cebu.
They also did a great routine during the ASEAN Summit last year.
P.S. Thanks JJ for this thread…..
Pinoys are mostly “dancerous”…..LOL!
That gave something to smile about.
At least they aren’t making trouble inside.
They look so harmless to be prisoners when you can coax them to dance to this ****. LOl.
I wonder if they’ll be on tour soon???!!! hahaha
