Daniel Radcliffe Parties with Mummy
Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe returns home, flanked by security guards, around midnight after ringing in his 18th birthday on Monday with dinner at the Union bar and a party at non-celeby Club 49 in Soho, London.
It was a low key affair with a group of friends, family and his casting director mother Marcia Gresham.
“I still haven’t read the seventh one. I’ve got it at home and I started it last night,” he told UK’s Radio 4 yesterday of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows.

Daniel, stop what you’re doing and read the book. It’s the best one.
Guess Dan underestimated the press and paps when he said that he hoped his party wouldn’t end up in the papers.
Hopefully there will be more real pics in the future.
I see this is going to be an everyday thing now.
Dan is a really great guy, very low key and down to earth. The only reason he is getting attention now is because of the latest book, latest movie and the stupid article about how much he is ‘worth.’ He’s worth lots more than some stupid dollar value.

When he said he hoped the party won’t end up in the press, I think he meant that the he hoped he didn’t party until like crazy (like a certain Lohan) to be worthy of bad press. He seems very grounded. Must be his parents.

awww. he’s one of the only people i feel bad for when he’s followed around by paparazzi. he’s so awesome. he did really great in the last movie too. im glad he got a haircut. lol. i just watched gof and his hair was sooo long.

I like that even for the main and relatively large role he does [considering he is the main character in the HP series], he doesn’t necessarily act like some celebrity and have a hunger for attention.

He’s wearing an England cricket shirt. He’d been on BBC Radio 4’s Test Match Special during the lunch break at the Lord’s test.
Oh he is just adorable, and having a low key party for his b-day is great, he sure doesn’t like the spotlight, and I’m glad mum Marcia still looking after her son, you never know what kind of girls are out there looking for young good looking millioners!

Schmoo, I hear you! In the last movie I was thinking, “woo, he’s cute” and then I reminded myself he was only 17 at that time. Sheesh!

Notice the guy pulling Dan’s cap down over his face. Also, did you notice the title? “Radcliffe parties with Mummy.” You know, I said a while ago that the moron paparazzi either tries to paint Dan as an innocent child figure or a dirty man-***** and this proves it. This article seemed to try to do both, though: showing pictures of Dan clearly drunk while at the same time giving a dippy title, as though they’re trying to undermine Dan’s drunkenness by pointing out the presence of mummy.

I don’t know why it made me mad to see that papparazzi following him around. I hope things die down for him so he can live a semi-normal life. I am glad that he had a good time on his birthday. He is so low key and that is why I like so much about him. Also, he is of age now!!!! Yes!!!! LOL……It is cool that he is still close to his family. He isn’t trying to grow up too fast.
