OlderAngelina Jolie in ‘Beowulf’ — FIRST LOOK
Here is your first look at Angelina Jolie in Robert Zemeckis’s animated film Beowulf, which is set for a Nov. 17th release.
The LA Times describes the pictured scene: “Angelina Jolie’s lips look even fuller than usual. She’s emerging naked from a pool of dank cave water, rivulets of gold streaming gently down her body.
“Giiiif meee sonnnn,” she coos, in an Old English accent.
Her flaxen hair is braided down her back in a long tail that slowly undulates and slaps the dark pool around her. She continues to purr enticements about making babies as a virtual camera circles 360 degrees panning around her long limbs and waist. Gold dribbles down her inner thighs past her feet, revealing sharp stilettos merged with bestial hooves.
Beowulf is a hyper violent and highly sexualized tale of the warrior Beowulf (Ray Winstone) who must slay the monster Grendel (Crispin Glover). Later, Grendel’s mother (Jolie) seduces Beowulf so that she can produce a replacement heir that will allow her to reestablish her dominion over the kingdom. (Hence, Giiiif meee sonnn.)”

Regarding the character’s significance in the original poem: Grendel’s mother is kinda the middle portion. The deaths of Grendel & mother come early in protagonist’s life…I believe the big-deally-oh battle was toward the end of Beowulf’s life…he slays a dragon after a brawl which, if we were to find a modern comparison would be something like Neo fighting Smith @ the end of the Matrix trilogy. If we want to use the Matrix comparison for a minute longer, the killing of Grendel’s Mother is a turning point not unlike the moment Neo starts to see things “in code” at the end of that one movie: important, but not the end…
Jolie’s scenes should be SUPER cool, though, because Grandel’s mother:
1. Goes on a bloody rampage in the castle after the King celebrates killing her son
2. Drags Beowulf to the bottom of a lake to her magical “Cave-Lair” whe he beheads her with her own sword (that supposedly no man is able to lift)
So, yeah, even though she’s not the Dragon in the story, her part has epic possibilities and it should look pretty cool, CGI–wise…

I was on Popsugar just looking at the pictures, and they had put up the really, really grainy pictures of the family in the amusement park. Those pictures got over a 100,000 views. I just thought that was funny because you could hardly make them out and there were other pictures of other celebrities that were much clearer and in focus that didn’t get that much attention.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie pinned down some family time at a French bowling alley Monday as their vacation rolled to an end, PEOPLE has learned.
Before jetting off from their 10-day vacation in the western Charente/Dordogne region, the couple took over France’s smallest family fun center “Le Palace Vert” with friend Mariane Pearl and her son.
Le Palace Vert’s owner Patrick Bernard tells PEOPLE that once they arrived, the Jolie-Pitts, Pearl and the four children (Maddox, 5, Pax-Thien, 3, and Zahara, 2, and Adam Pearl, 5) hit the lanes.
Pitt was especially attentive, Bernard adds, and encouraged all the youngsters whenever they hit a pin.
“At one point though, because the children don’t have the strength to always get the ball down the lane, it sometimes stops. Brad thought he’d go down the lane to push it along. He slipped and fell on his back. Hard,” Bernard tells PEOPLE.
Pitt survived the spill, but Bernard’s wife was disappointed to have missed her “only chance in life to give mouth-to-mouth resuscitation to Brad Pitt.”
While Jolie spent time with Pearl, whom she portrayed in A Mighty Heart, Pitt demonstrated his air-hockey prowess.
“Brad was particularly good at it,” Bernard says. “He and the three boys played two-a-side teams against one another for almost an hour.”

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie pinned down some family time at a French bowling alley Monday as their vacation rolled to an end, PEOPLE has learned.
Before jetting off from their 10-day vacation in the western Charente/Dordogne region, the couple took over France’s smallest family fun center “Le Palace Vert” with friend Mariane Pearl and her son.
Le Palace Vert’s owner Patrick Bernard tells PEOPLE that once they arrived, the Jolie-Pitts, Pearl and the four children (Maddox, 5, Pax-Thien, 3, and Zahara, 2, and Adam Pearl, 5) hit the lanes.
Pitt was especially attentive, Bernard adds, and encouraged all the youngsters whenever they hit a pin.
“At one point though, because the children don’t have the strength to always get the ball down the lane, it sometimes stops. Brad thought he’d go down the lane to push it along. He slipped and fell on his back. Hard,” Bernard tells PEOPLE.
Pitt survived the spill, but Bernard’s wife was disappointed to have missed her “only chance in life to give mouth-to-mouth resuscitation to Brad Pitt.”
While Jolie spent time with Pearl, whom she portrayed in A Mighty Heart, Pitt demonstrated his air-hockey prowess.
“Brad was particularly good at it,” Bernard says. “He and the three boys played two-a-side teams against one another for almost an hour.”

Bernard adds: “With only two lanes we’re certainly the smallest bowling in France, so we’re still having trouble realizing we spent Monday afternoon with the most famous couple in the world.”

This wasn’t the first amusement area the crew was spotted enjoying recently. Pitt made a scene in the bouncy castle when they all spent a day at the Aventure-Parc in Massignac.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie pinned down some family time at a French bowling alley Monday as their vacation rolled to an end, PEOPLE has learned.
Before jetting off from their 10-day vacation in the western Charente/Dordogne region, the couple took over France’s smallest family fun center “Le Palace Vert” with friend Mariane Pearl and her son.
Le Palace Vert’s owner Patrick Bernard tells PEOPLE that once they arrived, the Jolie-Pitts, Pearl and the four children (Maddox, 5, Pax-Thien, 3, and Zahara, 2, and Adam Pearl, 5) hit the lanes.
Pitt was especially attentive, Bernard adds, and encouraged all the youngsters whenever they hit a pin.
“At one point though, because the children don’t have the strength to always get the ball down the lane, it sometimes stops. Brad thought he’d go down the lane to push it along. He slipped and fell on his back. Hard,” Bernard tells PEOPLE.
Pitt survived the spill, but Bernard’s wife was disappointed to have missed her “only chance in life to give mouth-to-mouth resuscitation to Brad Pitt.”
While Jolie spent time with Pearl, whom she portrayed in A Mighty Heart, Pitt demonstrated his air-hockey prowess.
“Brad was particularly good at it,” Bernard says. “He and the three boys played two-a-side teams against one another for almost an hour.”

I’ve never been to comic con nor was i really crazy about comics or what not. Now if they had her n the discussion panel like inTombRaider, then I might’ve ordered my tickets in advance. But then again, nakita ko po na siya, up close pa hah. Anyway marami po akong ginawa kahapon and thought finishing up my course sched, errands, see mga kaibigan, etc. were much better opportunity costs :mr green:
They had the screening of Beowulf last night n Downtown SD and the only way to get a screening ticket was to also go to comic con’s booth# 4000 something (yesterday). So bibilihin pa ang comic con $25/$30? ticket then the screening ticket, plus the parking prolly was chaotic, i dunno. Don’t ya just wish that they were selling the screening tickets elsewhere? yup. I believe they’ll screen some parts at the event today or Thursday? (I don’t know the schedule on top of my head). Hmm I wonder if my school will preview this before Nov comes..hmm.

“An emotionally neglected spouse, be it male or female is vulnerable to anyone who suddenly pays attention to them. Specially someone like Angie. A 250 watt light bulb to Jen’s 40 watts. She should have been on location with her husband offering the emotional and physical companionship (that he apparently was not getting from Jen. But her career was more important. As I tell my kids, if something (toy etc.) is important and valuable to you; they take care of them. If they don’t they break or they are lost or stolen. Relationships are the same. The divorce has been the best thing for her career that Jen and her publicist have milked for every drop possible. She has been on more covers than ever before. Pity awards and a pity invitation as a presenter to the Oscars. She has a string of movies to her credit and more coming and is much wealthier and famous than she would have ever been without Brad. An no kids to worry and take care of. Boy, she really has it bad doesn’t she? wake up like she usually does. she felt comfterble laying in the soft and cool bed , she turned around to look at brad , but he wasnt there. The curiousity of where he was made her jump up slipping her warm feet into her slippers and tied her robe.She walked slowly to the bathroom almost as if she was trying to hear something and went looking for him in the bathroom. He was no where to be seen. she washed her teeth and face since she was already in the bathroom , and took a quick shower. she tied herself around a robe and left. she rushed down the stairs looking for brad. she looked in the living room , guest room , kids room but they were still sleeping, and the kitchen. she started to panick. brad always left a note before he left the house or even worse he never gets out of bed until the kids wake up first. she went back to their bed room. She took out her clothes, her white t-shirt and black pants and slipped her feet into her slip flops. she was rushing faster without even realizing it herslef. she brushed her soft and warm shiny hair with her brush and hurried down the stairs. She suddenly heard something like a big heavy ball bouncing up like a a basket ball. she opened the back door , the one connecting the back yard. she walked out thinking something bad has happened down there , but it wasnt it was brad fixing up his moto bike. She looked dissapointed at him. He was dressed in his moto bike clothing and had his helmet on his hand.
“what are you doing here..god! whats wrong with you,”angie was really upset about what happned.” couldnt you at least left a note or something..i was all worried for nothing”
“woah calm down baby ! everything is alright. i was in the house , why did i need to leave a note when i was in the house”.
“ah! i guess your’e right,” she replied back thinking about why would she have been angry for this situaution. ” i shouldnt have attacked you like that for nothing”
“i didnt think you were this worried” he laughed
“its not thats funny.you could have given me a dramatic freak attack ” she smiled as she held is hand.
“ok im sorry,” he opolagized ” anyway do you want to go for a moto bike trip..i mean since your already up and everything”
‘But..but what about the kiddies…dont forget brad..we are parents” they laughed togather.
“oh dont worry!! i called the baby sitter over to watch the kids for the morning,” he said ” its not like we get out of their sight every day …its only for today”
“ok than lets do it, she smiled.”you planned this didnt you”
angirer bike riding suite. she wore her black suite and boots, she took her helmet with her as soon as she was about to run down the other room for the kids , but went back in to get her sunglasses. Se walked down the kids room and gave them each a kiss , she made sure not to wake them up. Se tip toed out of the room as slowly as she can and went down stairs. brad was waiting for her in the back yard. He held her hand and kissed her in her cheek.
“you got dressed pretty fast” she smiled
“yeah! i couldnt wait” she replied back shyly.
He always made her feel shy and its hard not to show it sometimes. they both got on top of their moto bikes and rode off……
PART 2
Brad and angie went motobiking down town, they were going faster until they had to stop for a moment of peace. Brad thought of stopping for a minute just to feel some fresh air and to get water for drinks. Angie agreed to do the same. They both parked their motocycles down the parking lot around the small coffee store, angie was putting her huge black shiny helmet down on her motobike and took out a hair band from her pocket to hold her soft brown hair up in a pony tail since it was so hot. Brad just put away his helmet. They both walked away from their motobikes to the store. Brad went in first to get the cool and icey bottles of water for him and angie, he than paid as he and angie went out holding hands of the store. Brad ’s eyes opened wide in shock and angie was staring at his weird facial gestures.
“Hey…whats wrong!!…you look,”she stopped for a moment to think of the word “shocked as if something happened”
” thats because our motocycles are gone..who would have took them” he yelled
“o my god ! i didnt notice…where are they,”angie screamed a bit tapping her lap and holding one hand up to hold her for head as if it hurted.
” I dont even know this place well,” brad said ” were tottaly lost in the middle of no where”
“oh really like i didnt figure that one out myself,” she replied ” and now the kids wont know where we have gone the whole day..i mean there is no other way were going to leave home now”
“ok lets both relax…and take a deep breath before one of us loose it” bra dsaid in a very comforting voice. He didnt want to upset her once again today since he had alrady done that in the morning.
“alright !! its ok though..its not like its all your fault,”she smiled ” if we didnt stop for fresh air the bikes would have still been here”
“but i brought up that idea..so yeah its my fault” he hestitated
“But i agreed” she laughed
“lets both get over this since this has already happened”
“yep”
Brad took out his cell phone to call the baby sitter and to check if the kids are ok , Angie was standing beside him holding his hand tightly.The baby sitter picked up the phone and assured brad that everything is alright and that the kids are up playing with eachother in the sprinkler in the back yard.Angie and brad both talked to their kids about what had happened and told them not to worry because they will be back as soon as possible. They hanged up. Angie looked really worried now , now that they had no other options . They were both stuck in the middle of no where. It was a small town that looked like a forest , there was a small amount of cars and only a few stores around, they could see small houses and too many trees and nature. They stopped for a moment to think of what to do since they dont have their car or bikes.
“so what do you think we should do” angie looked at brad
“umm..im lost to you know…,” he shot back ” i dont know this placeeee”
“i know you dont know this place but i dont know your ideas of what to do” angie replied
“ok im sorry…and i think we should walk down just to get close to the city and stuff because they have taxis and cars we might rent” he smiled
“WELL!! since we dont have any other options, i will agree,” she said ” lets hope your idea will not mess up again ”
” trust me its the only way,” he held her up playfully ” besides the store doesnt have any numbers for the car services”
“Ok than” she laughed ” put me down pleaseee”
“alrighty”
They both walked down the roads and holding eachother for protection safely , each step they took felt like forever but they still managed and kept walking without looking back.
PART3
Brad and Angie were both helpless, it was getting to dark and kind of scary when not a lot of people are walking around in the dangerous town where the wind doesnt pass through that place. Brad started thinking of an idea to help him_them. He looked at angie who was already asleep on his lap, he wanted to wake her up , but of course he would scare her if he did and besides shes sleeping and doesnt want to take time away from her resting. He kissed her cheek carefuly , trying as hard as he can to not wake her up and placed his jacket on her since it was getting cooler at night. He stood up from the small streets, he walked up down the small town , trying to retry the plan he came up with before. It was the only pan he could think of, it was unbelievable.He couldnt think of anything.He started walking down , than he found a small light and small buildings , he discovered that place ,but that place was not even near his place he came from.Then, he started to worry , he felt like he forgot something or perhaps someone. he looked at his black suite that was invisible by the dark night and touched his soft , shiny and blonde hair that stood out in the dark , still he couldnt figure out what he was missing. Angelina. he thought. He started panicking with his heart beating faster like a loud music that was non stop and he walked as fast as a roller coaster. He feared that he lost the way where he came from.
Angelina woke up opening her eyes slowly, she picked her self up gently and touched her hair. She looked around looking for brad again. She couldnt find him , she couldnt feel his breathing , his warm body that always embraced hers or his hand that touched her soft shiny hair all the time or that ticklish feeling she gets when shes around him. She started standing up when his jacket fell over her. Its bads jacket, she thought. She knew brad would have never left her alone like that , he would never do that to her unless some one forced him to. She started fearing the thought of his disappearance. she was afraid shell never see him again. no, i have to stop putting these thoughts in my head. im sure brad ok. she thought again. she now felt better convincing her self that her love was alright , she than heard this lound man laughter that made her shaking run around her body through her veins. At first she wanted to go check if brad was with them but she knew brad would never leave her side for some other guys to fool around with. She looked around town thinking brad would be somewhere around , but he wasnt. she raned down the streets looking in every inch of the road and every small store there is out in this dark place.
“brad_” she yelled
“where are you……” she yelled once more
“stop doing this to me, if this is a plan your pulling..its not close to funny” she started crying
She sat down in the dark streets crying
Brad found his way back , but now the only thing he needed to do was look for the place he was in with angie before he left.When he got there, Angie wasnt. He started panicking once again..now even more of the thought of someone raping her or abusing her, besides she is a women she doesnt have strong powers than man. He took a deep breath and looked for her carefully, He kept walking until he bumped into some one smaller and curvy. He turned around to see who it was and he found out that it was in fact angie. Brad was so happy to find her, they both touched eachothers faces trying to feel eachothers facial shape. When brad touched the small womens lips , he immidiatly knew that it was angie with her full , pouty lips. He ducked over to look into her eyes as she did the same.
“is it you_” angie said’
“is it who” bad teased
“isit brad….please tell me its you..” angie begged ” i cant see you completly but i can tell its you”
“yes baby..of course…who else” he replied
“thats great. i was about to loose my mind” she strated to have tears coming down her cheeks
“are you alright…listen i never meant to leave you..i thought i had to leave for a few minutes to look for something to help us but i guess you woke up late than i expected. im really sorry that i hurted you that way but you knew i didnt mean to , you know i love you right!!! ” he tried apologizing
“its ok….a…at least your back safely” she replied
“now lets try looking for something to help us get home or else we have to walk down.tomorow and i know you dont want that to happen” he changed the subject
“yeah but lets sit and rest for now..seriously i think weve been out half of the night looking for eachother and now its 2:00 and we havent goten any good rest yet” angie gave in her opinion fast before he could even intturupt her
“what..are you kidding me.!! do you think we even have time for this non sense..im not going to rest unil i find a solution to our problem…maybe if you didnt wake up earlier than i could have went back to solve our problem. and now all you want to do is sit and rest and not help me find a solution…were are mature adults here we need to solve things we are not babies,……i mean im not a f-cking machine to do all this things by myself..”he argued
Angies eyes and face looked away with the hurt he had cuased her. All she wanted was to givein her own opnio but he was acting like a total jerk , she decided to move away from him and walked away ” its not even nice to speak that way to me…..you didnt have to say it that way ..you could have been more sensitive about it..i didnt want to say thing that will hurt you but your acting like a stupid jerk”
He pulled her back before she could even take a step further , he embraced her and wiped some of her tears ” i might have been stupid to talk that way..im just angry that this has to happen…im sorry that i threw my anger to you…you really didnt deserved it baby………”he said
“we may have both acted off tonight becuase we never had a small fight before or even a serious argument but i understand. im sorry i called you a jerk and your not stupid………”she smiled.
They both sat on the streets sleeping. Angie sat on brads lap as she putted her head on his chest. She and him both closed their eyes and waited for the morning to come fast so that they can get help and be back to their little ones as fast as possible.

I think think the lips seem fuller because, if I recall, she was pregnant with Shiloh at the time she filmed scenes for the movie. So that would make sense. Sometimes women carry that pregnancy weight in their lips (ie. Vanessa Williams during her first pregnancy, I know for sure.)And it was also evident during Angie’s interview on Dateline with Ann Curry while awaiting Shi’s birth in Namibia.

I think think the lips seem fuller because, if I recall, she was pregnant with Shiloh at the time she filmed scenes for the movie. So that would make sense. Sometimes women carry that pregnancy weight in their lips (ie. Vanessa Williams during her first pregnancy, I know for sure.)And it was also evident during Angie’s interview on Dateline with Ann Curry while awaiting Shi’s birth in Namibia.

CAIRO, Egypt - A dramatic increase in attacks on aid convoys in Darfur is hampering the world’s largest humanitarian operation, and some 170,000 people are now out of reach of food aid because of the violence, the United Nations’ World Food Programme said Wednesday.

Nine food convoys have been ambushed by gunmen across the war-torn region of western Sudan over the last two weeks alone, the WFP said in a statement.
The U.N. food agency condemned the “dramatic escalation in attacks on humanitarian staff and food convoys.” It said the violence was endangering the WFP’s ability to deliver assistance to millions of hungry people.
“WFP was not able to reach 170,000 people in June, a sizable increase from the lowest point last March when 60,000 could not be reached,” the WFP said.
Darfur rebel groups have been battling the Sudanese government since 2003 and the government blames the ongoing bloodshed on factions who refused to sign a peace treaty with the government last year. But the U.N. and other international observers say pro-government forces are also responsible for much of the violence.
Some 7,000 African Union peacekeepers are currently deployed in Darfur, but WFP says they do not have the capacity to escort food convoys.
The WFP’s food distribution in Darfur is the largest ongoing humanitarian effort in the world, employing nearly 800 people and more than 700 trucks to feed more than two million people every month.
The U.N. agency says it plans to distribute up to 500 tons of food in Darfur at a cost of about half a billion dollars this year.
The U.N.’s Office for Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs said in an e-mail to The Associated Press that 76 vehicles from the U.N. or other aid groups have been stolen in Darfur so far this year and 77 humanitarian convoys were attacked.
The WFP said 18 of its food convoys have been attacked this year, and 10 staff, including contractors, have been either detained or abducted.
The attacks are carried out by several of Darfur’s various warring parties, and the WFP believes the motive is banditry, said Emilia Casella, the WFP spokeswoman in Sudan.
“The people who are doing this are wearing different kinds of uniforms,” she said, calling on all parties in Darfur to cease attacks and respect humanitarian workers.
The latest attack occurred Friday when 16 armed men fired at a convoy and then ransomed the drivers, she said by telephone from Khartoum, the Sudanese capital.
It took place near the town of Tawila, some 40 miles from the North Darfur capital of El Fasher where Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir said Sunday that Darfur was now largely pacified.
Large amounts of food have also been looted during ambushes, Casella said.
There were five attacks last week in southern Darfur, she said, and gunmen looted seven trucks, stealing approximately 11 tons of food.
The Sudanese government had resisted for months a drive to replace the AU force with a larger, U.N. peacekeeping operation in order to end violence that has already left more than 200,000 dead and made 2.5 million refugees.
In June, the government accepted a compromise deal for a hybrid force of some 26,000 U.N. and AU peacekeepers. But Sudan’s ambassador to the United Nations said Tuesday that the draft resolution being circulated at the Security Council was “awful” and the government objected to many aspects of the project.

Week With The Pitts.
Angelina Jolie sat on an over sized couch in over decorated Missouri living room. Angelina was thoughtful as she prepared herself to spend the day alone with the Pitt women. Angelina had a knack for warming people up to her. Brad’s mom fluttered in with a tray of tea and pound cake. Angelina gave her an easy smile and took a teacup from the tray. Across the room Julie took a plate with a slice of pound cake on it. Angelina wore her chestnut brown hair pulled back in a loose bun. She wore a white cashmere sweater that covered her various visible tattoos, her good pair of jeans and her high-heeled black boots. “Its a shame Bill couldn’t join us” Jane Pitt finally spoke after putting the tray down. “Work, work, work, that’s all he ever seems to do now a days.” Angelina gave her friendliest smile. “That’s okay, I am happy we get to spend the day together, just us and the girls.” Angelina giggled. The girls. The Pitt women. Jane Pitt gave Angelina an up/down look before saying “Yes well Bill shouldn’t work so hard at his age. “It isn’t good for him.” That weekend had started good enough, when Brad was here to put his mother at ease. After they had returned from Cambodia to help oversee various projects there, they decided to visit his folks since the paps didn’t spot them leaving. Brad was starting a new film in a couple of months and he wanted to hang with his family. So Brad, Angelina, and the kids went to Missouri. Then Doug wanted to take his boys camping, something he had been planning for awhile. Julie’s husband was going too. Maddox and Pax immediately begged to go. Then, to Angelina’s slight horror Brad wanted to go. “How often is it that am I gonna be able to go camping with boys?” Brad said grinning like a kid in candy store. “It really does seem like a great experience” Angelina said wistfully. “Do you wanna go?” Brad asked. Hell yeah Angelina thought, but she liked when Mad and Pax bonded with their father and she wanted them to have that. “No” Angelina said kissing his forehead. “You and the boys have a good time.” So yesterday they all piled up in Doug’s camper and they took off. Angelina, Shi, Zee, Julie, her daughters, and Brad’s parents were gonna spend a fun fulled week together. The girls got along well, so they would have a good time. Its wasn’t that Jane didn’t like Angelina. Jane loved her grandchildren, so smart and sweet. Jane had took a strange joy thinking about how much Shi looked like Brad when he was younger. Jane Pitt was old-school though and Angelina was going to have do a lot more to prove to this woman that she was good for her first born son then give her grandchildren out of wedlock. Angelina could sense the tension and she was well aware of the reasons for it. Angelina was determined to win over Brad’s mom. Julie was very nice and to Angelina right away. Julie admired Angelina for all the things she had done and all the adventures she had. That doesn’t mean however she and her family don’t have their brand of fun. Julie broke the silence. “So I think we better get the girls dressed if were all gonna to the mall.” Angelina grateful for the distraction stood up smoothed her sweater. “Your right Julie. Shi, Zee come on lets get ready” Angelina called out. “Don’t holler, dear” Jane Pitt scolded quietly. Strike one against me, Angelina thought. To Be CON…..
