Becks Joins the Cheering Squad
David Beckham watches the LA Galaxy soccer team get their first victory against Pachua 2-1 in their opening match of the SuperLiga tournament on Tuesday The at the Home Depot Centre in Carson, Calif.
Becks was accompanied by two of his kids, Brooklyn, 8, and Romeo, 4, his mom Sandra Georgina West (a former hairdresser) and friends Everton footballer Phil Neville and ex-soap actor Tom Watts.
“The whole emotional buildup to David arriving, I’m not blaming him, but he finally arrived,” Galaxy coach Frank Yallop said. “We played poorly against Tigres, came out against Chelsea and decided to have a go and we did. Tonight, in spells, we showed what we can do.”

You don’t see many players sitting watching their teams in the stands when their injured or suspended. And why would he be down on the bench on the touchline? Thats completley pointless and hindering the team more than its helping them.

That’s because stupid people will buy tickets so they can see him play for about 5 minutes,and buy and wear stupid merchandise with his soccer number and team name on it. His looks may not have gotten him a spot on the team, but his looks most certainly got him contracts worth 250 million. His talent didn’t.

Also- agree about David and the whole soccer “hype”– he, obviously does possess some talent, but he is built up mostly due to his boyish good looks and his celebrity lifestyle- i.e., the Bentley’s, the mansions in UK, Spain, now LA, the desinger clothes, extravagant vaca’s, etc… the amnt. of $$$ these two waste on themselves and their own selfish needs could very well fund a small African country with much needed necessities such as food & water! They make me SICK with their showy, narcissistic, arrogant ways… Enough with the Beckhams’!
