Jennifer Aniston’s Big Apple Dinner
Jennifer Aniston goes half-way friendly, simultaneously covering up her face and waving to photographers while out for dinner at upscale Japanese eatery Nobu in NYC’s Tribeca neighborhood on Tuesday night.
The former Friends star dressed in a black tank and skirt, along with a pair of flip-flops. It also looked like she nicked herself, wearing a band-aid on her left middle finger!

Bleah! I don’t like the hair at all! It looks stringy and greasy and the ends look fried! What happened? She usually has GREAT hair! My favorite look of hers was the long, bouncy waves with the big layered sideswept bangs. Even her outifit is awful here, and her style is so spot-on most of the time! The shape of the top makes her shoulders look butch and her boobs look like withered prunes! Not to mention the skirt makes her look hippy, which is NUTS, this woman is so tiny! Aw, man! Give us back the stylish Jen! I like that Jen better than frumpy Jen!

A Break from the Beach
Jennifer Aniston in NYC last night out for dinner, spending some time away from Malibu and taking a breather from the beach. Shocking.
Not happy with the fact that the plum roles are going to the plum actresses of another caliber, Jen has been working to develop her own projects: a musical and possibly a return to television but only as a producer. Nothing solid just yet though there was a rumour she was hearbroken when the role of Susie Salmon’s mother went to Rachel Weisz in The Lovely Bones.
Anyway, check out Jen and her year-round glow clad in black per usual waiting for her pick up and per usual her hair is the best. Love the surprising little wave right off the bottom. China hair don’t do that. Am jealous.
As for those incessant reports of a pending adoption - bollocks when they first surfaced last year and the year before that and six months ago too. But with Sheryl Crow’s example and given that she’s nowhere near meeting and marrying the man of her life, I’ve heard she’s become much more open to the idea and has agreed to a preliminary consulation. Not slamdunk, will keep you posted.

I feel sorry for Jen. I’m glad she’s going back to the medium that made her popular. Im not really a fan but I wish her the best in her adoption and new role as producer.
Her fans do her great injustice by blaming everything that goes wrong in her life on brad. How could anyone be jealous of this? Painfully insecure, alone, no acting role in sight and stuck in a time warp. Malibu Barbie who lost Ken and her playhouse is exactly right. People hate Angelina because she’s open, fearless and beautiful. They identify with Jen because she looks average, and appears hurt and powerless. Kate Hudson and Reese went though much worse and came out smiling. I admire that. Jen is incapable of turning her life around. She has millions and nothing to hold her back, yet can’t step out of her little Malibu box to do something meaningful with her life. Why put her on a pedestal?

The close friend of hers who happens to be a very famous actress told her to carry a scarf in her hand all the time to draw everybody’s attention on this scarf instead of her leg.

When I look at Jen, I don’t see a 30 something yrs old woman, I see a little girl. I guess this is why she’s not getting the movie roles because her personality does not fit with her age. Being Married to Brad Pitt does not relegate one to a higher status for your information. So Jen gets no brownie point just because Brad Married Her ok? Angie could’ve married Brad on October 3, 2005 if she chose to, but she did not want to. When Brad and Jen were together they evidently had something special-they looked great together, they were great together-But since NEITHER one of them MAINTAINED their marriage very well, it had to end. They went there, they did it, they have the t-shirt.
In my opinion-Jen needs to be more vocal at certain times-she was a good sitcome actress and she will probably be an awesome daytime actress if she gives herself the chance. Often when we try things and they don’t work out, it’s difficult to try it again because you feel like a failure deep inside-that feeling only goes away when you try again. We have to set our own standards when it comes to what we want and how we measure ourselves-the problem in HW is they measure themselves by themselves and many of them seem lost because they are trying to become the lie that they tell us-They get so clouded by image being everything, that they have an awful time finding the truth-

Artist belong in a special category. They are eccentric by nature. Artors are performing artists and that culture has it’s own rules and protocols that may or may not match the general society. The upper upper classes in the US have their own culture that the middle and lower classes have no clue about. Everything is cultural. While some in this country swear that Aniston must be crying her oeyes out and wearing black all the time becasue she’s still in mourning for her marriage, other’s from differenc socio classes are wondering why she hasn’t been remarried already? Secondly, lets get real.In the world I live in, that is the real world for those of you that are lost. Brad Pitt wouldn’t be a prize that anyone would be fighting over. If I were Jen, I would be glad he showed his true colors before having a child with him. And if I were Jolie, I would worry when he is going to fall in lust with his next lady co-star. When these two women fight over him, makes them both appeare weak.A major embarrassment to the rest of us who can see the situation for what it is. But, oh thats right, he means much more to them because his level of international fame keeps them in the limelight. I always forget these celebrity women have different priorities from those of us who live in the real world. I suppose that would be the difference.

Of course, all of them think about their careers and their image also. It is the fans and tabloids who keep this sh*t going. The fans on both side because of whatever bothers them at the moment and the tabloids want to make money, and they are making a lot of money off those who buy their publications. Therefore, they can’t let it go and continue on and on like a broken record. Brad and Jennifer were not the first people in Hollywood to get a divorce. And If Brad and Angelina part ways, it will not be a first either. Anything can happen and no one can predict the future.

If some of you would get your heads out of the clouds for awhile then you would admit to yourself that Jen is mediocre and plain. Jen sets a good example? No, she doesn’t. I lost any shred of respect I had for her situation when she gave that VF interview in Sprig 05 and trashed Angelina and her children through her friends. That was low. Jen approved every word in that VF piece, and she knew full well what she was doing. She allowed her mouthpiece friends to do her dirty work. How gross.
If she had any class at all she would have come out long ago and said something along the lines of, “Brad and I wanted different things out of life and we realized we were not right for each other. I wish him well and hope he has a happy life.” Just that simple. Even if she didn’t mean it, it would have been the right thing to put out to the public. The only thing that would have been classier would have been if she had said nothing, just like Nicole and Reese.
I am not a big J-Lo fan at all, but when Ben A and Jen G had Violet, J-lo went on record saying she had no hard feelings and that she was happy for Ben. Maybe she didn’t mean it, but it showed me that she has is capable of taking the moral high road.
Jen has created this whole facade of “Tra la la la…Brad and I were soooo happy and content until the big, bad Angelina came along and stole hom, boo hoo!”. And she is sitting there knowing that is total BS, with her “I was shocked! The world was shocked!” reaction. Puh’leeze. Aniston knew her marriage was toast and Brad had one foot out the door before he even met Miss Jolie. Blaming Angie is just wrong. Cruifying Brad for getting a divorce is wrong.
As for Jenny, refusing to accept any responsibility for the negatives in your life is also wrong, hence her unhappiness with herself. Personally I don’t see how Brad put up with the whining and narcissim as long as he did.

AJ eats. The people who put togehter the Marie Clare shoot said she ate a burger and fries. She also is shown eating fruit during one of the Saint John shoots. She eats out with Brad all the time. There are pictures everwhere of these things if you bothered to look. She even eats cotton candy.

The connection you drew to AJ is one that I really don’t understand, nor care to try to. How does someone’s eating habits and the number of hits on a blog even correlate? I didn’t mention AJ, nor was I going to ~ not necessary on a thread all about Jen. This is an opportunity for Jen’s fans to step up and tell us what’s new. The point is, there isn’t anything new. Not much happening here, but my expectations weren’t very high.
Over on the JP thread, there are fans who get bugged when we bring up the Ex, so when JJ is kind enough to post a Aniston thread, I will every so often stop in for a laugh, but rarely post. Does that an obsession make? If so, then call me obsessed.
I am here to see how the fans respond to the question that was posed about Aniston’s projects….I hardly am angry at her. I like to challenge her fans sometimes, and am never dissapointed !! Her hair does look different (thinner). Maybe she had the extensions removed. She can not be described as beautiful by any stretch of the imagination. Cuteness doesn’t last too much beyond 40 - just ask Meg Ryan.
I totally agree. Jennifer Aniston knows exactly what she wants. She wants fame, money, and a movie career. Yes, she did talk about wanting a baby. But having a baby is NEVER her 1st priority. I remember seeing her talking about (in similar words) “the next thing is Oscar” on the stage in one of her award ceremony. One of the major reasons for the failure of the marriage is the delay of starting a family. Brad has talked about wanting a family , not once, but many many times.
I also believe that the last 6 months of 2003 is their trial separation (although they did not announce it officially). We all know Jen was taping Friends while simultaneouly making the movie “Along came Polly” . To me, this is a really hectic schedule. As to Brad, that same year he spent 6 months outside of the country filming Troy. It looked like they purposely planned to stay away from each other.
Now, Jennifer has achieved what she wanted, (though not all). She got fame and money. As for her movie, time will tell. I personally dont think she will achieve the way she wants it to be. To me, in silver screen, you need to have a commanding presence. Jennifer Aniston just doesnt have that. I personally prefer seeing movies with Kate Hudson, Reese, Cameron Diaz, and Julia Roberts.
All her media appearances (Diane Sawyer, Oprah, Access Hollywood) of saying “a baby is on the way” is just a way to save her image. The fact that she was still smoking indicates she has NO intention of opening her womb. This is what baffles me. Why Not Tell The Truth or dont even bring up the subject? Even when the subject is brought up, she can just deflect it. She did it successfully on her relationship with Vince. But by repeatedly going to the media and lied about it make me question her character. . Her appearance at Oprah and saying that she and Vince were still on is another calculated move to sell movie tickets.
Last week issue of us mag examined why Jen couldnt find a man. To me, she can never have a man unless she is sincere and honest.
1) She has to learn that she should not FAKE a relationship to sell movie tickets. No man wants to be used.
2) She has to own responsibility. Just laying blame or using her friends to do her dirty work, (smearing Brad and Angie in VF interview) is UNCONSCIONABLE. She should take accountability that her lust for fame and her lust for a movie career helped contribute to the downfall of her marriage.
3) She should really move on and should NOT be vengeful. The whole hollywood knows that Aniston has the habit of going to people, Oprah to deny a boob job, a nose job, not dating a camera man, etc. If so, a real man who dates her will ask why she’s not doing anything to refute the rumor of Brad visit with Shiloh. Not doing so speaks volumes of her character. And NO real man wants a vindictive woman.
4) She should be honest. If she does not want to have children. She should disclose this upfront. She should NOT mislead a man if a man wants children. She should learn from her mistakes that she should not lie about a baby when she had NO INTENTION of doing so
Until she improves herself, she will remain SINGLE.
I do hope in times, she learn from her mistakes, and wish her well.

Angie got pregnant on a few 1st tries. Some said Jen may have fertility problems. But I doubt that. These days, IVF docs are very good in fixing the fertility problem. Courtney is one example. Therefore, I have to say Jen did not want kids. She PRETENDED to want children and went to the media and lied about “baby is on the way”. I have to say she does not have maternal interest. She lust for a movie career. She did not know what she got (a good husband, and a good man) until she lost it.
When she lost it, she cried foul. She refused to take accountability. That’s one of the reasons which I DESPISED her.

It’s obvious you are projecting your own feelings into this situation.
Jen herself made it such a public issue by talking about it and exploiting it. Why should I feel sorry for her for mixing up such a hornet’s nest? This is a problem of her own making, and she refuses to accept that.
If she had kept her mouth shut, it would not have blown up the way it did. In fact, it would have died down long before now. Thank goodness Brad and Angelina had the good sense not to talk about it publicly. They just wanted to enjoy their pregnancy like any expectant couple has the right to do. A first pregnancy is a very special time and all the talk and drama (that Jen stirred up) threatened to rob Brad and Angie of that. They fled the country for some privacy and calm, yet some people made sure the implication was there that they fled so they could “hide” because there was somehow something they should be ashamed of, which there wasn’t. How curious that Jen’s fans didn’t then and do not now feel Angie deserves all the usual pamepring and attention any pregnant woman is privy to. Not only that, some of Jen’s fanstook it even further and wished harm on Angie and the baby. If jen had one ounce of class, she would have stopped it then. She would have had the decency to speak up and say, “Ok, enough, leave them alone, I am fine.” But she didn’t, she let it go on and on even until right now. That makes me sick.
Jen could stop this triangle tomorrow if she wanted to. But she doesn’t want to. She could stop all the speculation about her “new man” and all that comes along with it. But it’s clear she doesn’t want to. The time has come and gone to let it go, to let the public know she has let it go, but she can’t and she won’t. She keeps appearing, looking so helpless and wounded, hoping to make you feel just the way you expressed in your post about her….Oh, poor, poor, Jen! Gah.
Your reference to Angie as the “knocked up girlfriend” shows your true colors. Angie did nothing wrong. The self-righteous chorus who likes to scream “Cheater!” needs to shut right up, because other than flirting and talking, there is no evidence Brad and Angie did any more than that before Brad separated formally from Jen. Believe me, if he had, Jen and her lawyers would have had a field day with that. For Poor jen, it was enough just to lie about it, and imply heavily that he did cheat on her with that well-planned “I choose to believe my husband” quote. UGH! She was implying that he was lying to her, but she chooses to believe his “lies”. She twisted his private words to her for public gain, and that is reprehensible. The statement that was released regarding the divorce implies that both parties agreed and they wanted to keep things amicable. Jen changed her tune once it became clear Brad was working hard to get Angelina in his life. I can understand her being insulted and even hurt, but if she didn’t want it “played out for all the world to see”, as you say, then why take it to the press the way she did? Probably because she wanted it talked about and wanted it to grow into the monster that she herself created at Brad and Angie’s expense. If anything, Angelina deserves some of the feelings you are pouring out so generously onto your “poor Jen”. Did you feel sorry for Angie when she and BBT split because he refused to be a father to Maddox? Angie was left on her own with a baby. Yet she did not whine and carry on in such an unbecoming fashion. She picked herself up, dusted herself off, and kept going. Alone. All by herself. That kind of behavior is an example for women, not this whole feel-sorry-for-me Aniston thing.
And you need to stop it with the whole she-has-no-friends thing, and she-needs-a-man thing, because clearly she does (have friends), and she was content to be alone (without a man) and raise Maddox and other adopted children by herself. I personally believe she did not go after Brad, Brad pursued her, and it took him until Feb/Mar 05 to convince her what he wanted with her was more than to get into her pants (which I don’t think happened until about that same time frame as well). He could have bedded her and then high-tailed it outta there, but he didn’t.
You don’t think they waited that long to jump in the sack? Well I do. The reason? Brad is a very patient man. The fact that he stood by Jennifer as long as he did is proof of that.
I’ll even take it one step further and say that Angie’s going through with adopting Z (like she had already planned to do by herself) so early in the relationship was a test of sorts…Angie’s way of testing Brad’s committment to family and children…to see if he really could live up to the promises he was making to her that he wanted to live his life the same way she wanted to live her life. When a second baby, a sick one, at that… didn’t scare him off and had quite the opposite effect, making him want to be around even more, I think Angie, (as she implied in her recent interviews) decided she wanted to give this incredible man a pregnant tummy of his own to rub. Falling in love, real true love, makes you want to do things you thought you’d never do (like getting pregnant), and Angie decided it would be a beautiful thing to carry Brad’s baby, because she loves him. I guess you could say the only hitch in the plan was that neither of them counted on it happening so quick once they threw the birth control pills away. The pregnanacy was planned, but not with “poor Jen” in mind. No, no… it was done out of their love for each other, not to smite poor, helpless, defenseless, Jen. Jen had her chance to be in that position and she didn’t want it. And what’s that you say? I’m actually supoosed to feel sorry for Jen about that? I don’t think so.
The fact that Jen never developed these feelings for Brad doesn’t make her a bad person, I agree. However, I do think she sets a bad example for women because she won’t acknowledge her own mistakes and shortcomings, and she has sold a complete line of BS to the public hoping it would further her career and people would feel sorry for her.

She was not “emotionally crushed” by Brad and Angelina. You are being way too dramatic about it. I am sure she was hurt and needed time to get over his moving on so fast, but… it’s funny how you can’t seem to muster up these same feelings for Nicole K, or Reese, or even Angelina when she was left alone with Maddox. Why is Jen’s pain worse? It’s not. And the only reason it won’t go away in the press is because Aniston keeps putting it out there. She wants you to feel the way you do about her. She could top it tomorrow if she wanted to by doing what Kylie Minogue did. It’s clear to me she doesn’t want to stop it, as I already said in my previous post.
And what would have been classy and “dignified” would have been her calling the dogs off she sicced on Brad and Angelina in the first place. Jen herself has created all this publicity, and she does not even care if the children get drug through the mud. If she had one classy or dignified bone in her body she would have stopped it once it got ugly and the children became targets. But she didn’t. That’s why I don’t have one shred of respect for her. She’s a cold, cold calculating woman.
If she does have a new relationship and we don’t hear about it, it won’t be because she didn’t want us to hear about it. It will be because nobody cares anymore and has had enough of her games.

No, that’s not what I am saying at all. I am saying Jen caused the majority of the media sheet-storm that is now her life, yet she still imples it’s all Brad And Angie’s fault. She aggravated it, she wanted public sympathy in big way, so she went and whined about being victimized to the public. I was not saying she should defend Brad and Angelina, I was saying she should stand up with a bit of a spine and say she doesn’t need the pity. But she doesn’t do that, she keeps inviting it. How is she inviting it? By denying everything else, like the bood jobs, the nose jobs, the break up with VV, but she won’t say, “Oh by the way…Brad isn’t still calling me or having secret meetings with me. I wish him and his family well.” She cannot bring herself to do that, no. That’s what I was saying.
And Brad and Angie did have to go somewhere far away so that Angie could be relaxed and pampered by Brad while she was pregnant. Could they have had those wonderful lazy beachside dinners in Malibu? She said that want ever happened (what Brad did) after the papers were filed in March 2005 is his business not hers and that she doesn’t care. Yes, I am well aware that publicists often say things about their clients that are contrary to the truth, and I am aware that Brad and Angie denied they were a couple in early 2005, but that likely had more to do with their movie and it’s promotion than any personal decision of theirs. Alot of people had finacial interests in Mr. & Mrs. Smith, not just Brad and Angie. There were alot of people’s money riding on PR during that time. It was noble of Brad and Angie to put professional interests over personal ones. My conclusion is that the denial of being a couple was something they were advised to do for the good of the movie, and yes, to also give them a little privacy early in their coupledom.
If this is some major sin to you, it isn’t to me. Hollywood is a business, and sometimes these things have to be done when millions of dollars are at stake.
And Brad and Angie aren’t the only ones who use this ploy to keep the dogs from their door. Aniston did it when she and VV broke up. She went on Oprah and said they were fine and that they were not broken up, then days later, Huvane issues a statement that they broke up some time ago. So… someone is lying. Either Jen lied to Oprah Almighty’s face, or her publicist lied for her so she wouldn’t be pestered about it. I don’t like Jen, but even I can’t fault her for wanting some space after Vince’s coed diddling debacle….funny how you Jen fans NEVER mention that. Vince is the cheater, not Brad. And jen didn’t even have a movie riding on that denial, but hey, I’ll cut her some slack on that one, even though I feel Brad and Angie’s denial was more justified.

Angie met Brad in Jan 2004. By the time they decided to take the romantic plunge in early 2005 she had known him for more than a year. She had a pretty good idea about his character by the time he adopted Mad and Z which was the Fall/Winter of 2005. By then she had known him two years….about 14 months as a good friend and about eith months as a lover. I see nothing wrong with this, especially since they seem so solid right now. When it’s right, it’s right, and you know it.
They have a good foundation for a long relationship, so you just better get used to their togetherness. I have a feeling it is here to stay for quite some time.

The fact is that Jennifer at least go on dates and it is capable of getting single guys, unlike others that are so insecure that need to go after guys that are taken. This is one of the reasons I admire Jennifer.

Are you even capable of backing this argument up with one single fact?
Do you admire her buddy Courteney? Because Court-Court was shacking up with Micheal Keaton for a whole year before his divorce was final. Guess Courteney only did that becasue she couldn’t get her own man, either. Had to go and take one from somebody else… what are you, twelve years old?

Okay, the thread is supposed to be about whether or not we like Jen’s new look, so here is an impartial opinion, untainted by references to Brad or Angelina which don’t belong here.
From a PR point of view, these photos are an unmitigated disaster. Aniston looks insecure, hesitant and unkempt. Not an image you want to project when you are going on 40.
The hair looks lank and greasy as if it hadn’t been washed in weeks. At her age, the style is all wrong for her now. She needs a complete makeover. Cut it short and go back to her natural color. And get rid of those stupid blue contacts, they aren’t fooling anyone.
The total style she is projecting in these photos screams F-R-U-M-P. She looks all anyhow, as if she just threw on the first thing she could find in the closet.
And for Christ’s sake, you do NOT go into Nobu, of all places, wearing FLIP-FLOPS!!!
This woman is in meltdown. That is the only possible way to look at her, from these pics.

I think they’re embarrassed to acknowledge being her supporters after seeing these dreadful photos.
Heh, she looks like she’s tryin’ to channel Angelina’s casual world traveler look with the black dress, simple hair, and the flip flops, but of course it ain’t workin’ for her. What works on the streets of Vietnam is not going to work for you if the only traveling you ever do is from the ‘Bu to Burbank.
