OlderMatt Damon Gets ‘Walk of Fame’ Star
Angel-faced actor Matt Damon is honored with the well-deserved 2,343th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Wednesday in Los Angeles. Not too long ago, he had his handprints and footprints cemented at the Grauman’s Chinese Theater alongside George Clooney and Brad Pitt.
“I can’t believe I’m standing on a star with my name on it. I’m going to show my kids that,” Matt beamed during the ceremony. “A few times in my life I’ve had these experiences that are just kind of too big to process and this looks like it’s going to be one of those times.”
“Ben and I lived in a really crappy apartment about five blocks away from here and we used to walk up and down here. It’ll probably sink in when I’ve walked down the street in about six months and see someone peeing on my star,” he laughed.
Matt was accompanied by his wife Luciana Barroso, his mother Nancy Carlsson-Paige (a professor of education at Lesley University in Cambridge, MA), Mayor of Hollywood Johnny Grant and Bourne director Paul Greengrass

Well deserved? Two walk of fames? Raves for The Bourne Ultimatum? A loving family? Reuniting with Ben Affleck? Seems like a good year! Shame Damon lost out to Leonardo Dicaprio for Revolutionary Road.

Matt Damon is in store for greater things, ‘Bourne Identity’ adds, are awesome,he kicks butt.
Watch him in any movie he is in, he has always been one of my favorites,no matter what characters he portrays, he is just awesome.
I’m liking his wife so much, he seems so content with his family.

Isnt Matt the golden boy? Sarah, I didn’t know he lost out to DiCaprio for that role Revolutionary Road. Leos a better fit with Kate Winslet –he’s closer in age. He took the role Good Shepard after Leo dropped out for Blood Diamond interestingly enough. I don’t think of them as the same really but they seem always to be up for the same roles…

Matt is a great actor. It is not true that any one can have a star. Yes, the placement is paid for but not usually by the star but this is after the star has been approved by a committee. His wife is quite lovely and he has a beautiful daughter and step-daughter. Looks like he made the right decision in not marrying any of those actresses he was dating.

Matt turned down Revolutionary Road. He wanted to do it, but he was still filming “Bourne” and Mendes couldnt wait because of the strike.

congrats to matt, he deserves it…right? i dunno, coz i havn’t watched alot of films with him in it. anyways, everyone looks great here. his wife looks really pretty in that dress and hair style.
where is super friend ben affleck??His best buddy gets a star and he´s not there??Huh?this whole reunion is just a PR!I think that they are great friends but they don´t see each other that often and we all know why they went to Hawaii,to talk about a new skript!Ben wants to get back into spotlight and matt is a real actor(good movies,you donßt know much about his private life,his wife is never pimping his kid…)ben needs hid help and matt is there!
