Brad Pitt is Up to His Dirty Tricks
Ex-lovers Brad Pitt and Gwyneth Paltrow are reportedly teaming up again for political drama Dirty Tricks, according to Page Six.
Dirty Tricks focuses on the aftermath of the Watergate scandal, where the wife of Richard Nixon’s attorney general comes to her husband’s defense.
Pitt will play John Dean, US government official and White House counsel to Nixon. Paltrow will play Pitt’s wife, Maureen Dean.
The film, set for a 2008 release, also stars Annette Bening, Meryl Streep and Sharon Stone.
Dirty Tricks will be directed by the genius Ryan Murphy (Nip/Tuck, Running with Scissors).

Big big stars scheduled this year to show their projects at the Toronto International Film Festival and now… even bigger stars. In fact, it’s shaping up to be an Oceans 13 reunion of sorts.
Matt Damon will return to my home town to host the One x One benefit gala on September 9th. Matt hosted last year and his friend Brad Pitt just happened to be in town. Brad made an appearance at the event of course and chances are he will make another one.

Overall, it may be logistically impossible seeing as he is shooting State of Play around the same time this one is supposed to go into production. Now that he has the family, I don’t think he’ll double dip productions like he attempted to do with MAMS and O12.

Both sides are wrong - why??? No body posting here knows Jennifer, Brad, and Angelina personally. No of you were in their marriage, on their vacations, on the set of Mr.&Mrs. Smith (like Vince was) nor are in best friends with either of the three of them. Yet, both sides talk like the know everything about it all. I am sure, just like it always happens in this kind of situation, that if any of the complete truth of what really happened came out, both sides would be shocked about their idols. I agree for all true fans lets go back to the last thread. We already know what Jared wrote is wrong. Page Six needed something to fill their pages so they added a rumor which they has been floating around for months. No added informaiton or confirmation from the director or the stars.

Perhaps…we’ll have to wait and see I supppose. I just have a gut feeling he won’t be in the film and is just producing it. After the tidbit from Ryan came out last year there has been nothing from him about it since. The cast they have lined up is pretty good though so if Brad isn’t in it, the flow of the film will continue just as well.

I agree…Please with romantic overtures coop! She doesn’t even go on the red carpet with her husband, you think she’d want to be drawn back to the spotlight that is Brad’s? Sure he was in love with her (I really think more than anyone else prior to his current relationship) BUT when you are hurt like he so obviously was you forgive, you move past, but you don’t GO there again. Although I am not a fan of Gwn, I have to give her credit for coming forward and told the truth although I wish she should have done it sooner. It took courage to do that.
One funny thing, in 2005, at Jen’s birthday party, I remember seeing pics of Gwn showing pics of Apple to Brad. Gwn didnt do it purposely. But that sure didnt make Jen feel any better.
I have to say the evil part of me actually HOPES that BRAD will star as John Dean opposite Gwynnie as Maureen Dean in dirty tricks. If nothing else, it would give the B,A and X triangle a whole new twist.
With the tablies foaming in their collective frenzy writing about Brad may be going back to his Gwynnie, a woman he has never stopped loving etc etc.. And then the tabs will speculate about how Angelina is in a rage (but never mind what ever Chris Martin might be thinking or feeling coz, really, he doesn’t count to the tabs anyway). Nevermind the truth is that if Brad were to do a movie opposite Gwynnie, it would be with Angelina’s (and Chris’s) blessings (did I tell you that Chris doesn’t count coz no one seems to care how he might think about his wife in the movie with Brad Pitt, her first love). But that sort of story (and Chris) just wouldn’t sell tabloids.
Imagine the publicity this sort of speculation will bestow on the movie. Is there chemistry between Brad and old flame Gwynnie?? This is something people would want to see. If Brad, plays it smart, he’ll let the tablies market the movie for them and lower his marketing costs for the movie. He is, after all, the producer.
And meanwhile, what will X do when the spotlight of being the third corner in the triangle is removed from her face?? How is she going to try to make herself relevant when there is a new triangle forming right in front of her?? And when Brad, Angelina, Gwyneth and Chris, remain married, remain in relationships, remain as friends to promote the movie, how will the tablies then say Brad is going to go back to X, after screaming that Brad is going to go back to Gwynnie (you know the TABLIES ARE going to say he is going back to Gwyniee don’t you??). And the speculation about Gwyneth and Brad will go on for months (Imagine the stories about their blended families!!)

It happens when you’re young. Gwyenth was in her early 20’s and Brad was in his 30’s, she was not ready to get married and though the best way to end the relationship was cheating on him. Paltrow said she made a mistake and Brad was a great guy.
Bashing Paltrow now is worthless.

Totally agree. I hope that Brad does the movie. It will be all good for Brad and Angie. Angie does not mind Brad hanging out with an ex-girlfriend. Brad will show that he is not petty and can work with Gwen, even when she’s a b*tch. Gwen gets to enjoy the limelight again and I think she will finally get closure for herself (after cheating on him) seeing Brad being happy with Angie and having the family that he has always wanted.
And most importantly, I think this will finally put an end to the B,A, and X triangle. Yes, the tabs will try and create a new triangle,and X is the odd wheel. She gets pushed out and will not be able to coattail. I keep up with my ex-boyfriend, who is now married & has a daughter. In fact we are all friends, especially my husband enjoys his company and all four of us even went on vacation together. Since there wasn’t an ‘overlap’ between Angie and Gwenyth, I assume they will be amicable. They are also both devoted moms, and didn’t they even co-star in “Sky Captain” before? Angie and Gwenyth are both A-list caliber movie stars, both are mothers, both have lives they want. I think Gwyn’s parents really loved Brad… I think I remember that interview, it was after Brad and after Ben, she started to realize that even when she was with Brad, she still felt her closest relationship with a male was with her father(no, i dont think it was anything unhealthy) but, she was young. Didnt Ben say he thought her ideal man was someone like her dad? I think she realized that she wanted someone more like her father.. and some have said that Chris is.
Nowhere have I read or heard anyone say that Gwyn’s dad was against her and Brad being together. They seemed to have a lovely relationship.
