Seeing Angelina made me think of how much she is targetted by the tabs.

I was wondering what others think about how much the tabliods influence public opinion. I know many stars ignore them and laugh them off and I know that JP fans make fun of it, but are they effective in creating the image they set out to create?

I used to think that most people were able to separate truth from fiction and were intelligent enough to know when they were being lied to. But the more I read comments on some blogs and see how gullible people have been and can be, I’m really starting to doubt how smart people really are. I’m shocked by how ignorant people come across. I mean a large percentage of the population in this country STILL believes that September 11 is connected to Iraq.

I feel like the tabliods are one of main culprits in the dumbing down of society. They have overtaken the concept of what is considered ‘news” these days. When you see the breaking news on CNN and Fox is about Paris Hilton, you really have to wonder how much of a tabliod culture we have become. So many seemingly intelligent people believe what they read in these magazine.

I’m throwing this out for those who have an opinion about if tabliods have become effective at influencing the public’s opinions.
