Whoopi, Sherri Shepherd Join ‘The View’

I like Whoopie but, I still not going to waste time watching the view when I can be doing more creative things instead.

Nope. Sherri’s a fundie freak who doesn’t believe in evolution. The fundies are SO 2004.

I never was a big VIEW viewer, but Rosie put an end to the little bit I did see, and Whoopie & Sherri brought me back. The show is fun, balanced, and without the stress I feel Rosie’s VIEW put on it. I’m quite happy with the news.

I like Whoopi. She is a grown woman who has a lot of knowledge to share. I just hope that she will keep the fun going because she can be very funny when she wants to be.

Sherri is the best choice they could possily make. I have been watching this show for a long time and I loved this woman the first time I saw her on the show.

Sherri isn’t a fake-o and is more laid-back and easy-going. That is the way she is. Sorry if she isn’t controversial enough for your taste. She’s a Christian and she’s fun, but not stupid enough to act like a jerk on national TV. She doesn’t get her panties in a knot.

I don’t want to see constant fighting on the air like some of you. Don’t you get enough fighting and negativity in real life? After Rosie and Elisabeth duked it out, I felt almost nauseated. All those fights just produced a lot of ugly emotions that got them nowhere–just Rosie off the show.

I want to enjoy The View, get a few laughs and feel happier after watching it.

Now if they’d only get rid of Joyless and Lizzy - the show might have a chance.

Not for a sec. I hated the View until Rosie revived it. Now there’s no reason to watch anymore.

They should have fired joy and hired Sherri and Kathy.

I quit watching after Rosie left. I can not stand Elizabeth, she is nasty and stupid.

I see where you’re coming from, TeamLaraCroft…but judging from past precedent, it doesn’t seem as though the View is looking for sexy/sexual, period. There’s the one spot–currently inhabited by E. Hasselbeck–that has sort of consistently gone to a younger woman… but other than that, it’s certainly not as though every other woman on the show has been a drop dead gorgeous bombshell, or that the only one with a full figure was “the African-American one.” I mean, Brandy was cool as a co-host, but I wouldn’t have liked it–even as a black female myself–if she was installed simply to “balance” some previous inequity in attractiveness. What I’d prefer seeing are strong, intelligent black women who could bring something great to the show; if that happens to coincide with conventional beauty, then all the better. Hell, folks can say what they will about Tyra, but I think girlie is doin her thing; more power to that! :o)

And you are right…Vanessa Williams would’ve been an excellent selection.

Good points you make. I agree. Barbara Walters and Joy Behar are not exactly pin-up models nor was Rosie O’Donnel.

That said, I still vote for Iman as replacement - I think she is a living Goddess!

Whoopie sucks the life out of the room. Shari doesn’t say much. The show obviously peaked with Rosie.

I agree–they should get rid of Eliz. Then they can call it “One Point of View,” and everyone can watch people who agree with them, and we won’t have to listen to any opposing opinions. They can bash all they want with ridiculous statements without someone interrupting them.
