You should still wash the produce due to bacteria and the like. It’s not weird at all to wash produce before eating it. I even use a special solution to wash mine because of all the E-coli scares and such.

I find nothing wrong my statement. Overparenting is just as bad as underparenting. Garner to me lacks balance between her identity as a mom, herself, and her relationship with her husband.

I offered other examples of mothers I admire who are great mothers. They seem to retain a sense of self as well as a relationship with their spouse (well of course except for Reese Witherspoon, but divorce happens unfortunately). I admire that in them. Garner, I think she needs to learn to balance her energy.

to #51 I think its sad (perhaps you had an absent mother? Sorry) that you feel someone who is simply with her child (instead of handing her off to the nanny) and takes her places is somehow overparenting and lacks a balance with the rest of her life. I find you incredibly sad if you really believe that. She has a life outside Violet and a good relationship with her husband but has said she doesn’t have to work and it would have to be something really good to be worth it. All mothers should be that lucky. If you are not,I can certainly understand your obvious jealousy.

Maybe you don’t see all those other 30 something moms out and about with their kids because the other 30 something moms hire nannies to take care of their kids. How do you know Courtney and Arquette, or Will and Jada have ever even been to the park with their kids?

Ever think that the only time their kids have been to the park is with a hired nanny?

Jen doesn’t have a live in nanny. She takes care of her own child JUST LIKE A REAL RESPONSIBLE MOTHER!!!

Just stumbled across this and thought I’d comment on the fact that Jennifer Garner seems like a strange target for such hatred. She’s never portrayed in a bad light, she always seems so down to earth and friendly. I don’t think I’ve ever read a negative news story about her, which seems to me that it’s because there’s simply nothing awful to write. Oh no, she took her daughter out in public. Scandal!

And perhaps if her and Ben don’t seem affectionate in public, it’s because they’re a private couple, who save their affection for when they’re alone. And before someone starts saying “well, taking Violet out in public isn’t very private”, children need to go out! And Violet always looks so happy in photos, which I’d say is a testimony to the fact that Jennifer always does the best by her, and keeps her happy.

If you’re going to attack someone, attack them for something they’ve actually done wrong. Don’t just pick lame excuses for problems with someone who rises above all the spite and falseness in that industry.
