Timothy Olyphant @ Jimmy Kimmel Live!
Thu, 02 August 2007 at 11:20 am
Timothy Olyphant, who most recently played madman computer-whiz Thomas Gabriel in Live Free or Die Hard, dropped my Jimmy Kimmel Live! last month to hype up his Bruce Wilis flick. He revealed his last name Olyphant is Scottish for “elephant” (a gag, most likely).
The 39-year-old devilishly handsome actor is best known for his role as sheriff Seth Bullock on the HBO series Deadwood. Agents, continue booking this guy!!!
Watch the video of Olyphant’s appearance on Kimmel below!

Gosh, I have no idea who half the ppl are that are posted anymore.
Jared I think he was just joking when he said his last name means elephant in Scottish. LOL!
TO: MMMMM,
If you spend your time not bitching on every thread then maybe you can find out who these “people” are. Dumbass.
And why comment in a thread or a person you dont know, or is it just comment for the sake of commenting. Some people are pure idiots. Nothing more.
Thank you JJ for giving us at least ONE thread on Tim, he is such a talented actor and i miss seeing him on Deadwood, although i do have the boxsets from the seasons past. He was GREAT in Die Hard, and i saw a preview of him as “Hitman” which comes out in October. I do hope that you will continue to keep us informed on him….and more pics please, he looks yummy!
Thanks again JustJared, you’re the best.
They look like a married couple.
I think he is a good- looker. I have the feeling we will see a lot more of him. Get ready.
He was in the movie Go! too, very good actor, and a cutie too!
I really miss Deadwood. I loved Timothy as Seth Bullock.
I loved him on A Man Apart. He played that Hollywood guy. It was on last night. He was hilarious.

You must be a JP fan .. run along shooo fly shoo.
In Dutch olifant means elephant and it’s pronounced the same way as Olyphant pretty much. So it could mean that in Scottish too, don’t konw.
