The Jolie-Pitts are stateside!
Angelina Jolie scoops up an obviously teed off Maddox before walking into a Los Angeles studio on Friday to do some last-minute voiceover work for her upcoming animated film Beowulf.
The Robert Zemeckis-directed movie set for a Nov. 17th release. If you haven’t already, watch the Beowulf trailer.
Who wore what? Angelina wore head-to-toe black — a “back of the skirt zipper” dress, pointy up-to-the-knee suede boots and D&G shades. The mother-of-four accented her look with a white handbag. Maddox, who turns 6 on Monday, wore a black tee with a UFO-video-game print.
Earlier this week, Angie, Maddox and family were vacationing in Angouleme, France.

#387… you know what I suggest she does : Why doesn’t Angie take time off ( for real this time) and move out of the country with her family for awhile. I’m sure there are atleast a handful of places in the world that she can escape to without being bothered much. If that is NOT an option because she needs to continue to make her millions… then why doesn’t she STOP adopting. I understand the idea that these under-priviledged children are apparently getting a better life with a celebrity (because of the money), however, I DO not believe for a second that a child being dragged from country to county, state to state , on a daily basis has a better quality of life. NO I DON’T. As for bringing up other celebrity children - quite honestly I don’t think other celebrities drag their kids with them everywhere - I think they step up and do leave them with sitters or family members while they work, so that the kids aren’t in the public eye. And that makes sense to me. They adjust to the fact that mom or dad may be gone for a few weeks, etc. but they get a chance to have stability and routine with the other parent in their own home. I just don’t get why she had to adopt Pax when she knew she would be filming for several more months. What was the rush? That child has been flying in the air since he was adopted. He doesn’t even know what home looks like. I think it’s very sad ….

the movie was a flop. There is no, if you say so. It is so. The movie flopped, admit it. Clearly, everyone but you want to admit it. When they start pulling the movie out of the theatres 2 days after the movie open, baby, that mean it was a dud, flop, pathetic, whatever you want to call it. The fact that it did so bad, once again Brad’s movie which was to be released in September, was pushed back to November. They did the same thing to Jessica Simpson movie, so they are now in the same league. Baby, say it with me, the movie was worse than Gigli.

BRAVO, BRAVO, BRAVO. THIS BLOG tries to manipulate people into thinking the way they think. Angelina looks horrible, Brad looks miserable, and little Maddox is sick and tired of all of it. I do have to say, that Z, has had moments of happiness. However, remember before Angelina got with Brad, how happy Maddox used to be, that speaks volumes on what truly is going on with this couple. But you are 100% right, and clearly, Brad is about to get the hell out of this. That is probably why Maddox is so upset with Angelina. He probably blames her for the problem. A six year old knows way more than people give them credit for, especially in an abusive household. Yes, even if it is just verbal, abuse is abuse.

#393 Thanks for the support Mandy. The kicker is that there are a bunch of photo’s flying around now of Maddox’s birthday party, at Angie’s house mind you. SO now I have to believe that this women tips the photog’s off and that just adds to the insanity with the paparazzi! SHE loves the attention or the money that she gets for letting them get their shots. I feel even more sorry for these kids now, because obviously it’s just a game to Angie. The photos of the kids birthday party weren’t taken from outside a gate or a tree. These were up close photos. Nice job Jolie. Nothing like protecting your children. The reason there wasn’t alot of paparazzi surronding her and maddox prior to Brad is because she wasn’t in the scandalous relationship that she’s in now. Unfortunately,she brought this on herself and her children.

You loon! All AJ did was love BP. She didn’t have this type of attention before they hooked up. I remember seeing a video of Pitt and Jennifer Aniston completely surrounded by “fans” while shopping at a street market in Santa Monica — as in COULDN’T MOVE. They had to call the cops to get them out. Aniston has talked about how bad it was.with high-powered telephoto lenses from a helicopter or boats at sea. look at the angles and texture. These are not close-ups. As we’ve seen in other razzi shots of Brad’s Santa Barbara place this is the OCEAN side of the compound. Maybe Brad didn’t hire the guys with the boats and guns this year to scare them off. Smart since it didn’t work before and I’ll bet it made it less fun for Maddox when they were there. The only time J-Ps have sold photos IMAO they were trying to diffuse the horrible clamor and crazy, intrusive attempts to follow them (i.e. family in Cambodia; Shiloh’s birth in Namibia etc.) or to spotlight some charity (i.e. Haiti, Cambodia, Namibia.) Can you imagine what would have happened in they had had the baby in the US and the paps had found them. Oh right, I forgot, you don’t care what hell the children endure because you despise AJ. It’s not like they kept the money from those sales like Lindsay Lohan, or something. I hope you don’t have any kids to pass your hateful behaviour to.

Actually Katie AND Mandy. Angie has yet to take off the time she said that she would. From what I can gather, she was already signed up for these projects (Wanted and the Changeling) when Pax’s adoption came through - perhaps not the best timing but ok, she’s juggling raising her kids (as do many other celebrity moms) until her current projects are done. I see it as she’s been using the last few months to tie up loose ends before taking an extended break to raise the kids. Why does that seem so unreasonable?
She and Brad have their plans - do I think it’s sensible? Well, I don’t think anyone who wants 7 children is in their right mind so she AND Brad deserve each other - but I can understand their reasoning. Brad sure as hell ain’t getting any younger, neither is she. If they want this insanely huge family then between adoption and natural birth I guess they’re going for it now. It’s way out there but then I wouldn’t expect Angie to do it any other way. I am far more conservative in my own life, hell I think 1 kid is more than enough and if another comes along then there should at least be 5 years between them but I don’t expect others to live that way. I know regular folks who feel that they should have all their kids as quickly as possible to get the nappy-changing stage out of the way. I try to keep an open mind about other ways of life because mine is certainly not the only one that works.
Both of you feel that Angie should just stop working or stop adotping and focus on her family - well, that should be moot later this year but in the meantime she is meeting her committments.
While not all celebs travel with their entire family, a large number take their children to visit with them for extended periods on location during filming. The only reason we’re hearing/seeing so much of it is because the paps are stalking Brad and Angie’s every move. Many shoots take a long time and some actors choose not to be an absentee parent. And yeah those are the allegations Angie would be facing if she chose to leave the kids behind - why adopt them if she’s just going to leave them with a nanny? Brad could set up base in LA or somewhere and be a full-time dad but this arrangement seems to work pretty well for him too - their move to New Orleans was for Brad’s movie.
While I do see your point to a certain extent, I don’t think simply because Angie isn’t little Suzie homemaker then the kids are naturally better off languishing in some orphanage half way around the world. Are they better off moving around than living in some delapidated orphanage when they may get any number of infectious diseases? hmm, let me think? Cholera? Typhoid? TB? Malaria? They probably are a tad bit better off. Despite a few highly publicized international adoptions, people are not flocking to Cambodia, or Ethiopia to rescue these kids. As for Pax, sure, the timing could have been better but the fact is the family stays together. Are you serious in saying he would be better off had he remained in his room with 20 other children, limited freedoms and socilizing and no mom or dad to hug him or kiss him goodnight or cuddle with?
Their lives aren’t much different from those of military families that move frequently as well. IMO, the more important question is what exactly is stability? Is it being in the same physical environment but your parent frequently leaving for long periods or is it a changing physical environment but a consistent family setting? In the end, childen that move frequently and those that are left behind are each missing out on something, the question is up to the parent which is more important. And this issue isn’t just about Angie since they’ve moved for Brad’s projects as much as they have for Angie’s - AMH was really a joint effort. These kids are growing up differently, that’s for sure but can we be certain that they don’t have some sense of stability just because it is unconventional? I’m not so sure. I don’t dismiss something just because it is different.
As for Angie taking time off, she plans to once she is done filming later this year, although she will at some point have to promote her films. I’m not saying this is a perfect situation but my god, you people go after her as though she is the only one to travel with her kids, to have her kids stalked by the press and become upset, to heaven forbid, have a career and a family! When you think about it these kids are pretty damn well behaved in public for children “dragged from state to state” or whatever. We’ve yet to see a temper tantrum or anything that Angie couldn’t handle and they look rather happy as long as a pap’s camera isn’t being shoved in their face. Are they tired? Of course they’re tired, they have 4 children! And Mandy, your abuse allegations are baseless and stupid. Hopefully, in the next few months they’ll all get a well deserved extanded break and it won’t be an either or situation and finally you all can find someone else to rag on.

Those birthday pics were hardly close up - ever heard of a telescopic lens? Most paps use them so they can get shots of their quarry without being in close proximity. Those pics couldn’t have been taken from quite a distance away. That’s part of why Angie gets annoyed with the paps that continue to shove cameras in the kids’ faces.
And really, does Angie need to call the paps? They know the JPs are back in town so the house is going to be staked out anyway - they had media helicopters flying overhead after they returned with Shi - so calling the paps is hardly necessary. And if any one knew that Mad had a birthday coming up well, come on, Angie called them? Please, like she’d have to. And hey look, they’re at home and the paps still get a peak - I guess now they need to move the party inside. If they keep compromising to get away from the paps, they’ll never be free to live their lives.

katie, you are so right about everything that you say. Angelina is a sociopath. She will take publicity good, bad, or indifferent. She uses her children, her relationship, and anything and everything to bring attention to herself. Most of society are truly sick of her. It had come out after she and Brad had come together that it was Angelina that sold the pictures. She is a sociopath, she would not let that relationship go by and no one know about it. She did this to the man that she supposedly loves so much. It is her photographers that get the pictures of the babies, it is Angelina that make sure that the public see these kids and Brad together, and it is Angelina that is destroying not only her career but has pretty much destroyed Brad’s. Everything that she set out to do has backfired, and the only thing she has left to talk about is Brad, unfortunately, she is the only one that wants to talk about him. Brad looks horrible now, and we do not even need to talk about Angelina.
I think the most humiliating thing that could have happened in Brad’s career, is when he was asked not to come to the premiere of OC13 when they were in Chicago. He was not needed to promote, and the Chicago premiere was a very big premiere and he was not even missed. His career is truly over. So please why not stay with Angelina no one definately wants that trick.

The last 20 comments have been within the past few days.. so how old is this thread,really? Sounds like someone just doesn’t like it when other people make a good point. You know katie, at least your arguments are somewhat sensible but mandy is downright nuts.
Anyway, it seems an awful waste of time to come here just to post against someone you dislike - this campaign against Angie is hardly worth fighting. According to you guys, she’s a sociopath, who’s using her kids for fame and that she is destroying her career. That her relationship with Brad will end and so on. Well, the tabs have pretty much been saying that for a while, so much so that one can hardly walk past the newsstand without being overwhelmed by the sheer volume of the anti-Angie message. yeah, Angie has a dark past - drugs, knives, cutting, vials of blood, another woman - she has hidden nothing. And apparently for THAT, it seems in your eyes, she is incapapble of doing anything right either. So let’s agree to disgree. To YOU, Angelina will always be the lost, out-of-control soul she was before adopting Maddox and retooling her life. To US, while certainly not perfect by any means, she represents second, third and even fourth chances, inner strength, redemption and forgiveness. Yes, there are others out there with the same qualities but Angie’s no nonsense approach is far more refreshing. You know she’s been down the sh**pit and back again so we can relate. She is unapologetically unconventional, some call that crazy. Perhaps, most people who challenge the norm are accused of being such at least once.
As to the kids, well, I certainly can’t say for certain what’s going on in their heads but Brad and Angie seem to have created a stable family unit for the children. Yes, the moving around is disruptive, no one denies that but it would be regardless of the arrangement, at least to some extent, until both Angie AND Brad take time off later this year. Kids are adaptable though and both parents are there, not to mention that staying in one place is not necessarily a guarantee for familiy stability.
Whether Brad and Angie stay together, well, I would like to see that but if not they’re both, at the very least, legally bound to their children. Yes, ALL 4 and somehow I doubt that either will be a deadbeat parent. So, while a breakup would be devastating, they’d have to work it out like any other couple deciding custody and so on. They’re a Hollywood couple afterall so only time will tell there.
I am an Angie fan, Brad has wormed his way into my heart only recently. I am probably as different from Angie as one could ever be; I wish I had half her courage and it makes me happy to see her settling down a bit - I was worried for her for a while when she was with BBT. Anyway, I wish them the best with their brood and finding what works best for them. They don’t need our approval.
