Angelina Jolie Comforts Mad Maddox
The Jolie-Pitts are stateside!
Angelina Jolie scoops up an obviously teed off Maddox before walking into a Los Angeles studio on Friday to do some last-minute voiceover work for her upcoming animated film Beowulf.
The Robert Zemeckis-directed movie set for a Nov. 17th release. If you haven’t already, watch the Beowulf trailer.
Who wore what? Angelina wore head-to-toe black — a “back of the skirt zipper” dress, pointy up-to-the-knee suede boots and D&G shades. The mother-of-four accented her look with a white handbag. Maddox, who turns 6 on Monday, wore a black tee with a UFO-video-game print.
Earlier this week, Angie, Maddox and family were vacationing in Angouleme, France.

#358, Observer2…LOL! Thanks for the first laugh of the day! Don’t know who else here is old enough to remember watching The Carol Burnett show. Does anyone else remember the episode with Carol as Scarlett O’Hara, descending the staircase wearing curtains on a drapery rod? Oh, dear. Sorry for the reminiscence, but it was funny, and this post made me think of it.
The posts from some of the haters around here are just so pathetic it’s hilarious! Really, if I were that desperate to make a point, well, nevermind … hopefully I’m never THAT desperate.
Anyway, I just LOVE Angie’s outfit, it’s so chic. And talk about easy access! I imagine Brad has taken advantage of that well placed zipper at the back. LOL!
And the paps are just nuts, Mad hasn’t had them in his face for quite a while, really since they went to Prague and most of those pics were from a distance, so they probably scared him. I can see it now, like many little kids he probably wanted to go to work with her thinking it would be like Prague and they got ambushed by paps who really didn’t appear too concerned that one of the kids was with her. Sad really.
Whether you’re a fan or not, there’s no denying that the constant photographers surrounding this family are going to take a toll on these children. That child looks like he was crying. Regardless of the reason why he is upset,it is just awful that these paparazzi will not let up on taking pic’s of these kids. The kid is having a meltdown and he’s being photographed. IT’S AWFUL! Why does Angie have to bring him to work? Really? He couldn’t just stay home with dad, in the comfort of his own home. What’s wrong with her?

I LOVE that ep. That is without a doubt one of my favorite Carol Burnnett episodes. And each time I see Gone with The Wind, and that scene comes up I just fall into hysterics because I automatically think of the Caroll Burnett ep. Comedy at its best.

He probably wanted to go, he has been to work with his mom before, it must be something he enjoys or Angie wouldnt have taken him. It isnt her fault that the paps are so inhuman that they get all up in little kids’ faces. Angie did the right thing in being attuned to how Maddox was feeling and took the time to soothe him. Kids are kids..they arent going to be camera ready at all times. My 3 year old cousin had a temper tantrum last week at the grocery store. Should his mom have kept him home?
I think it is remarkable that we have never seen any of the Jolie-Pitt kids ever having a temper tantrum. Maddox has looked scornfully at the cameras in his face sometimes, but I cant blame him for that.
BTW, I saw recently a pic of Courtney and Coco Arquette, out and about in la. Coco was crying and looking very unhappy. No one on that web site was criticizing Courtney or suggesting Coco should have stayed home.
Double standard where the JP’s are concerned and it is stupid.

I don’t think it’s a matter of something being wrong with her but have you had your kid beg to come with you? Not that we can know for sure what happended but perhaps Mad didn’t want to stay home. For the past two months or so his mom has pretty much been readily available to him with little intrusion from the paps. That may not seem like a long time but for a 6 yr old, it’s long enough to forget.
Now they’re back in the US and Angie needs to go in to work - Mad wants to accompany her. She knows the paps have probably caught wind that they’re back in town but maybe just this once she can get to the studio and back without too much harrassment - and besides, Mad’s birthday is coming up and he is probably giving her the big sad puppy eyes, pulling out all the stops to get her to take him with her. Afterall kids that age love going to work with their parents - especially if the job is somewhere fun like a movie studio.
I think Angie was indulging her son and not so much thinking about the paps.
Was it a bad call? Maybe, maybe not. I’m certainly not going to judge because this obsession that we - fans and haters alike - seem to have is what is driving the paps. We’ve seen where the kids have been followed even when neither Angie nor Brad were around so can we really say that it’s because Mad was WITH her? We can’t expect them to keep the kids locked away forever either - I believe that strategy led to doubts of Suri Cruise’s existence.
These people can’t win no matter what they do, they will never please all of us so why try to please any of us? They live for themselves and if that means that Angie’s choice to allow her son to spend the day with her inadvertently exposes him to paps and causes his upset, well so be it.

I adore Angelina for what she stands for: peace and human rights. I justthink she has absolute control over who photographs her and her kids at a studio.

(using sarcastic voice) Are you alluding to the rampant hypocrisy that seems to be poisoning the very air we breathe?
1. Angie must be the only actress who ever films on location. Everyone else must stay at their home base, so they don’t have to disrupt their children’s lives. Cate Blanchett, Kate Winslet, Nicole, any other film actress who is also a mother. Either that or they let the nannies raise their children in their absense - a good 6-8 weeks, maybe more depending on the film. Yeah, that’s exactly what Angie should do, either refuse roles not filming in LA or just let the nannies handle it. Cause keeping the entire family together when she or Brad travels - that’s just silly.
2. The fact that these so called “news” outlets continue to recyle and/or fabricate stories using anything from Angie’s past or a so called “insider” as though the woman hasn’t pretty much confessed all and done a 180 since then with her life. They are still peddling the cutting, knives, vials of blood, blah, blah, blah … this stuff is so old it’s ridiculous. We’re talking gossip that is quickly approaching 5+ years old (even older in some cases) surely they’ve got something more about who Angeline is? But only the salacious sells, to hell with all else. It it very telling to me how we’re so quick to rehab and forgive certain celebs and put them right back on that undeserved pedestal yet those who’ve actually earned at least some consideration we are so resistant to acknowledge. Then there are celebs with dark pasts like Angie who we’ve taken back and they’ve deserved that acceptance - Drew is one of them. Yet as much as I love her, I can’t see how Drew is so much easier to accept than Angie. Is it because Drew doesn’t challenge us the way Angie does? People would rather belive a lie about Angie than give her the benefit of the doubt, even after all she has done to change her life. Again, only the salacious sells, its weracity is another matter. Despite that, the determination to stick it out makes me admire Angie more because it’s always an uphill battle for her. And when she has success, the victory is that much sweeter. It must just kill the haters.
3. The Brad Factor. Yeah, this much really get those hypocrites steaming. Would Angie’s decisions regarding raising her kids, how much she travels, really everything be “wrong” in certain peoples’ eyes if she had children with anyone other than Brad Pitt? Would the tabs be trashing her (checks calendar) 2 years later if she had gotten involved with anyone other than Brad Pitt, a then married Brad Pitt no less? This campaign, and it is a campaign, against her/them is so rife with hypocrisy I wonder if the people behind it even remember names such as Michael Douglas, Tom Hanks, James Cameron (2x) - I could go on. Hey, I wasn’t on the set of MAMS, I didn’t hear Angie and Brad’s conversations and I didn’t witness things going from platonic to romantic so I am not going to pretend as I though I know exactly what happened and when. But I am no hypocrit. I say call a spade a spade. If you’re going to trash Angie, then I better see headlines trashing Catherine, Rita and that actress from Titanic - Suzie Amos? and Linda, in addition to the men they got involved with. And that goes for all similar situations that I can’t recall now.
But that would mean stepping back and getting some perspective - and THAT is just plain silly.
KD, #371…but we don’t know that, do we? What I think we have been observing for a while is a life skill being instilled in the Jolie-Pitt children by their parents. Time and time again you see them walking in formation, almost as if they are in a drill, practicing a “Zen” approach, meaning acting as if the photographers do not exist. Only Z, not quite understanding, shrieks with delight and calls them out by pointing, laughing, and making a special game out of it, kind of like Hide and Seek. She always gets a kick out of spotting them, while Maddox sees things differently. To him it was not always a constant in his life, like it has been with Z. Maybe he thought he could handle it, but he is six, and misjudged how invasive they are. You can tell by Angelina’s expression that she is a little taken aback, laughs just a little at her adorable boy, and tries to pick him up as she always did in his younger days. Six still needs to be held once in a while. I am so glad I can usually avoid the pointless drivel. Just a little hard today. It should be a happy day, but for some people it just never is.

ITAWU….but those actresses you mentioned are not angelina jolie….these trolls/haters are in denial….the more they hate, the more they look stupid, disgruntled, whiny, envious and jealous of angie because it seems that she has everything, cute family/babies, loving and supportive partner, booming career and of course, the ultimate good looking beuatiful inside and outside woman period!!!
and million of fans who love her….can you count any celebrity whose fans are all over the internet downloading producing musicvideos w/ her and her family pics??? nobody….just go to youtubes and search for angelina jolie or google news about her….thousands of result…not hundreds… :lol: people are fascinated with her!!!
