Angelina Jolie Has Left the Studio
Angelina Jolie says farewell to Dreamworks CEO Jeffrey Katzenberg and quickly leaves a Hollywood studio with her manager, Geyer Kosinski, under the cover of a large white umbrella.
DreamWorks originally set up Jolie’s upcoming animated featured Beowulf but during turnaround, new deals were arranged — Paramount Pictures will now handle U.S. distribution and Warner Bros. Pictures will take care of international distribution. Beowulf opens in theaters everywhere November 16.
Angie arrived at the studio earlier in the day with son Maddox, almost 6.

I live in California (LA) and today I spoke with a set EMT. She has a friend who is also a set EMT, and this friend worked on set (in the background) with Brad. He said that Brad and Angie are so sweet to each other all the time. I believe it.
Why did they put Beouwolf? He has nothing to do with that production. He worked with her on Shark Tales and also worked with Brad on the sinbad animation but Beauwolf is under a different company.. i don’t get it.

When I know that Angelina Jolie has made amends with her father, Jon Voight, she’ll appear much more appealling to me as an actress and/or roving world ambassador.
As an adult woman, she has done the same thing with Brad Pitt and, most likely, other men (affair while his wife was unsuspecting and they both LIED to cover-up their sexual relationship) that her father, Jon Voight supposedly did with another woman and the cause of the break-up of her mother’s marriage. She may be helping around the world but she’s also a spoiled brat who seems to think she is entitled to anything she “desires”–maybe another woman will surface in her mind to create Brad Pitt’s future karma!

This is one beautiful woman and it’s all in the smile. She is so content, her family had a wonderful vacation, she’s gonna be taking care of the family while Brad works, just like Brad did when she was filming Wanted. They are like a well-oiled machine.
She looks relaxed from their vacation. A vision of beauty.
When the critics of her say that AMH is a flop, they are just reaching for something to biaatch about. She said that it was made out of a feeling of respect, love and admiration for Danny and Mariane Pearl. It was not a money maker and she knew it, as did everyone in the movie industry.
Her partner made O13, and that was the money maker. All movies are not made for the monetary rewards, but for the artistic integrity.
She remains an inspiration to alot of women juggling work, mommyhood, humanitarian works and keeping a relationship thriving. Yes, she has help, and good for her. Anyone that can spare 1 million if she has 3 million is someone that I will always admire.

Besane—the best thing for along flight for kids I found is a portable DVD player. They can watch their own DVD’s if they don’t like the mmovie playing on flight, plus when you get there you can hook it up to any TV and they can play their games , movies etc. , but you need a converter if you are going from US (its about 30$). I hope that helps and have fun!!!!
Re commputers, well they had internet cafes in Turkey practically evey other street so I think you’ll be fine w/o it….

Wow Jared, This has been a really good B-day. Spunky I wanted to answer your question from the last thread. I am working on a new fanfic, I tend to come with ideas quicker depending on the response from the last one. Since everyone liked it I have a new one coming up, also I am working on a vidwo which could be done by tonight or early Sat.
Yes, maybe Shiloh looks like her maternal grandfather. What so? It’s just genetics, nothing else. Nothing that he can have some credit about. I think she looks more like her father.
If Angelina decides to make amend with her father is her problem only not nobody else’s. Only they and some few other very close people, like her brother for instance, know the reasons she may have. By the way, as far as I know James doesn’t go along with Voight either, but I don’t see people judging his attitude, neither see Voight begging in front of the cameras for forgiveness (sooo touching…). Oh! Yes. I almost forgot: Angie is the one who “can put” him in the media (even if she doesn’t intend to) not James…
I don’t remember she saying her PRESENT problems with her father are due to his marital problems with her mom, and the lies he may have said back then. The issues seem to be related to their problems after that, when she was an young actress starting to succeed in the industry, related to his attitudes towards her as an adult woman.

Besane—You only need one portable DVD player and you can get two headphones. I’m telling you it was the best investment I made eben though the kids are older now, they still use it and when we get to Turkey we have our DVD player by hooking it to the TV :-)

Hey Besane, just came off long airflights to and from China travelling with two toddlers, age 6 and 8, one portable DVD…don’t need headphones, they were in the seats closest to the window (if you can get them) and just turn up the volume…they huddled together and shared, other passengers were not bothered at all. If one is too young, sit one on your lap while in flight. Have a good and safe trip.

She looks great! Really surprise to see so many posts! She looks very happy for someone who is suppose to have split. Now the tabs look bad as ever. The split with her dad was due to him putting her private business out and also saying that she had mental problems when she started doing her humantarian work. We must remember that this is Angie’s private life and she will do what she feels is right for herself and her family. I really think that her earlier problems are due to Jon Voight being and absent father. I think Brad is finally providing her with the strong male support and love that she has been searching for.

as for watchin movies by myself….i had this experience when i was 18 years old…long time ago….first, i am emancipated then :lol: so no rotten tomatoes pls…i was playing hookey and didn’t go to school….went to the mall (philippines) where lots of movie theaters inside….i saw this long line of people entering the theater….so i got curious and the title of the movie was “lady chatterly’s lover”….hmmm…man…this movie must be good…all these people….bammm….i went inside….the theater was packed with standing people in every space (mostly couples and males that wanted to score…i guess) and i didn’t know that this movie was a porn movie :lol: and i felt something on my back sticking eeewwwwww….so i get out as fast as i can…..that one scary experience….i told my college classmates about it and they all laughed at me…but that experience did not stop me going to movies by myself….i just need to know what kind of movie they are showing :lol:

yep…..that one scary experience….i was so naive then but then i got curious about the movie so i borrowed the book from one of my dormmates….and the book was so spicy and erotic… :oops:
and guess what…just two weeks ago, one of the theater in berkeley where they show all this artsy indie films was showing this porn film but not the original version….you know some people in berkeley are weird….they are really into freedom of speech/expressions and every year they have this nude parades in the city streets….most of the parade participants are nudes…IMO…some of the nude bodies are unlawful to be shown coz they are so butt ugly with all the lovehandles and rolling dough of thighs and arms….but what can you expect from the people….the berkeley people seems tame now but they still have the hippie culture :lol:

B#tch, please. Jon Voight is a big freaking drama queen. Anybody with an ounce of sense who saw his PERFORMANCE would know that clown was doing nothing more than play-acting the role of “concerned father” in an attempt to pimp his faltering acting career. Take your ass on over to the IMDB and take a look at Voight’s resume in the years AFTER he won the Academy Award in 1979 until Angie started making a name for herself in 1996. His career picked up considerably after she had him cast in Tomb Raider. He’s nothing but a famewhoring user. Come to think of it…he’s the perfect man for X.

That’s not exactly true. Angie was an adult when she changed her name, so her family life had no bearing on the issue. In most states, Cali included, anyone who’s willing to pay the fee - about $50, most places - can legally change their name at any time…provided you are of legal age, not a convicted felon or have outstanding warrants for your arrest.
And before anyone asks - I used to work for my local county gov-o-mint and the Recorder of Deeds handles name-changes as well as marriage licenses and real estate liens. Let this be a lesson to you all - sometimes the computer department employees get bored and look stuff up…which is perfectly legal because all paperwork filed with the Recorder is in the public domain. Just don’t file anything you don’t want anyone to know about!

yep, 16 hours one way non-stop…but the young ones are great travellers having been all over the world. (I can vouch that young children travelling is a great learning experience and children are very flexible.) The BAMPZS children are in great hands and will not in any way be compromised by the experience…and those who criticize and make judgements do NOT know what they are talking about, have never travelled themselves and/or have poor parent/child skills…seriously. It’s all about the family being together and the relationship between parent and child that determines good and bad experiences for the child.
Besane…Guli is right…definitely a portable DVD is the way to go and toddlers will watch the same DVD over and over again as you know. Best investment you’ll make and do get that converter…Radio Shack, Target, not every expensive.

To Guli, if you are still around despite your jet lag, in answer to your question from a previous thread, my China trip was great. Loved the people…they are really opening up to foreigners and willing to discuss issues more openly one on one although it is still against the law to hand out flyers or hold open forums and rallies against the government. Spectacular sights. The quality of life has much improved since I was there years ago. I can’t wait to go back.

I hear Paramount Pictures chief Brad Grey was on the phone today talking up his studio’s release of the mega-blockbuster Transformers when, all of a sudden, helicopters swooped out of nowhere and drowned him out. “It’s Jeffrey and David,” he quipped to the caller. After all, DreamWorks has been accusing Grey of trying to grab credit for its movie product because theirs are performing fab while Paramount’s films flop. But the messy integration and hurt feelings ever since DreamWorks sold their studio to Paramount 18 months ago may be easing. That’s because, after trying to boss DreamWorks behind the scenes for months and months, Grey finally gave up. Since April, Paramount has been issuing tortured clarifications to ensure DreamWorks gets its glory. Now Brad stays politic instead of constantly proclaiming he’s in charge. Grey is telling people that, “right now, everybody is getting along, we’re in a good place”. The last time Paramount was sitting higher than 3rd place in studio market share was 2001. Well, next week, Paramount will be in 1st place. That’s why DreamWorks has Paramount cowed.
I’m told that, when the slightest thing goes wrong, the DreamWorks toppers complain straight to Katzenberg, who complains straight to Grey. And then, if it’s not handled quick enough, the very scary Geffen gets on the phone to Grey. “It’s brutal,” a source describes. It doesn’t help that many DreamWorks execs are now doing jobs as part of Paramount “and there’s an invisible tether back to DreamWorks,” an insider explains. The other day, DreamWorks’ Justin Falvey and Darryl Frank, the pair running TV production, were renegotiating their deal. Soon, Brad was hearing that Paramount wasn’t being generous enough. “DreamWorks is just a freight car but they’re driving the whole damn Paramount train,” a source puts it. “You can’t ignore them, or they’ll grind everything to a ******* halt.”
So now Brad looks like Hollywood’s newest hero sitting on top of the heap. Oy, that doesn’t sit well with Spielberg, Katzenberg and Geffen. Used to be, every day a new rumor surfaced that Brad was getting dumped. Fortunately for him, Grey has a good relationship with Philippe Dauman, the No. 2 at parent company Viacom. “Philippe loves him. They have the same temperament,” a Paramount source explained to me. “But Brad’s biggest problem is not Viacom. It’s DreamWorks.” From now until Christmas, DreamWorks will supply most of Paramount’s high-profile product, culminating with Sweeney Todd directed by Tim Burton and starring Johnny Depp. Not until next summer’s Indiana Jones and Star Trek sequels does Paramount put out a complete slate. Until then, Grey will still be drowned out by his billionaire colleagues.

For those who say she doesn’t smile with Brad, well could you tell she was a ball of hysterical laughter when she was pregnant? They know that when they are together they are scrutinized and they don’t want to be this smiley couple that smiles because there are cameras around. They probably whisper stuff to each other and signals that we don’t even know or see and in the privacy I bet it’s so loving and sweet and real and very natural.

I am really beginning to believe that one of the reasons these “Break Up” lies have appeared at this time is because some have looked at the time factor/length involved in Angelina’s marriages and calculated some sort of expiraton date that is fast approaching, so these lies have now popped up. This is so stupid, so idiotic, but then so are tabloids.
Each marriage was very different. Her first marriage to JLM was made between two very young people who had no idea what marriage was all about, but who parted as friends and remain friends. Her second marriage was to someone who did not choose to stay married and become a parent with Angelina, BBT made the decision to walk, not surprising since this was his 5th marriage. Neither of these marriages came with a built in expiration date, and very different factors were involved in each marraige. Angelina was only half of each marraige and certainly did not solely control or determine the end of each marriage. But as usual she alone receives the blame.
That this relationship with Brad is so much deeper that her two marriages ever were is impossible for some to see as they are hell bent for leather to only believe the myths that have been widely dissiminated about Angelina, and about Brad. Angelina is seen as an “exotic wild” woman and Brad is seen as a “sweet little midwestern” man controlled by the wild woman. The truth is more than likely that Brad is a very strong man who loves a strong but softer woman. My observation is that Brad is the man that Angelina trusts and relies on, very different sets of circumstances from those found in her two marriages. Their fierce devotion to their four children make them more determined than ever to succeed, this is a key difference from both of Angelina’s two marriages and Brad’s one marriage.
I won’t be surprised to see other tabs chime in with their madeup concoction and version of “break up ” time because tabs are not truthseekers or journalists. Both the UK Mirror and the Sun usually have elaborate lies like when Pax was adopted, or when Brad supposely told a person in a bar his life story, or their poor translation of an article that originally appeared in French. Their lies usually pop up after the ones that appear in US based tabs. All lies all the time but the tabs don’t care. All that matters are lies that someone will believe, that’s all they care about.
What is so sad is that the tabs just will not recognize that most in the public would like something positive sometimes to brighten up their day. They just don’t get it. And this couple has demonstrated that when they are challenged they find ways to overcome those challenges together, and their bond becomes even stronger. They a solid unit now, whether people like it or not.
Angelina looks in these pixs much as she did in some pixs taken in Sept 2005(I think) in NYC. She had just completed filming TGS for a while, she had visited a watch shop I think, had on a snug black top and jeans with a little tummy showing and was on her way to be with Brad in Calgary. She had just this same glow of pure happiness about her, and people were just staring at her as she walked out of the shop and got in an SUV, she was just this beautiful. Makes me wonder. Because we now know that she was pregnant at that time. Anybody else remember the pixs that I am talking about?

k, nobody has said anything bad here yet and you’re already carrying on with the ‘trolls’ crap. True, there are people that write some nasty things about this family that is just beyond expressing their opinions but the same can be said for SOME JP’s fans defending the JP’s. Most of you are lovely and have nothing but good wishes and most of you are smart enough to ignore the comments that are just plain rude and the people that want to stir up some ****. But there are a few JP fans that continuously appear on these threads whose comments are just as bad if not worse than those who post those nasty things about the JP’s. Both of these groups are beyond the point of reasoning and most of you have figured out that it’s just better to ignore them.
Another thing, just because someone has a different opinon to you about how the JP’s are raising their family or any other matter not related to the JP’s, it doesn’t automatically make them a ‘hater’. I have posted a few times on the JP threads about certain things I don’t agree with just to get them off my chest (isn’t that what blogs are for anyway) and to my knowledge I don’t think I have ever been nasty. Sometimes, where I have been misinformed, I have stood corrected by JP fans while other times I have stood by my convictions. But some of the backlash that I have received has been completely vile. Even when I have said the I am a fan of the JP’s (dispite disagreeing with some of the thing they do) you have still called me a ‘troll’ and a ‘hater’. If I hated them so much, do you think I would read these posts? Anyway, I think my point is, lets stop with all the name calling and lets not give those who want to post vile messages the satisfaction of replying to them. I would hate for this site to become like Perez’s page.
Sorry for the preaching but I had to get this off my chest. On a more positive note, those of you posting from Down Under, have a great Saturday night and cheers to everyone else around the globe.

Pitt flick finally ready for theatres

That’s been the worry for Brad Pitt’s upcoming western The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford, which was filmed in Alberta and in Winnipeg in 2005. After several delays, poor test screenings, and reports of infighting between its director, producers and studio, the movie looked like it was destined for the box-office boneyard.
But the bad buzz surrounding the film seems to be turning around.
The movie was recently selected for presentation at the Toronto International Film Festival, a positive sign for many movie buffs. Furthermore, key critics who have seen early versions of the film are starting to get behind it.
“This is going to be one of the best films of all time or it’s just going to be something unique — to put it politely,” says filmjerk.com publisher Edward Havens, who went into a test screening of an unfinished version in June.
After seeing the movie, Havens led an online backlash against naysayers, claiming: “Yes, The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford is better than Unforgiven. Better than Silverado or Wyatt Earp or any other Western in the past 30 years.”
With a limited release date set for Sept. 21, audiences may yet see a film worth watching, say a growing number of online critics, who say performances by Pitt and co-star Casey Affleck are worthy of Oscars.
“Brad Pitt doesn’t use a lot of words in his performance, it’s all looks and internal turmoil, he is truly mesmerizing in this performance, showing a more mature actor then we have seen before,” said blogger Bronson on movie website Ain’t It Cool News.
Others say Roger Deakins’ cinematography is some of the best in decades, which will bode well for Alberta as the movie’s host. Although Havens says the setting “isn’t a love letter to the landscape like Brokeback Mountain,” it is so striking other moviemakers may start looking to Alberta for future films.
Still, questions remain about the film, especially after The Times of London reported in May a feud between Warner Bros. and director Andrew Dominik, who had failed to change the movie “from a leisurely poetic film into an action packed crowd-pleaser, or even shorten its title.”
“Usually when a movie is delayed like this there’s trouble with it,” says CanWest movie critic Jay Stone. “Often delays occur when studios hold a movie because they can’t stand it, but in this case it sounds more like a creative dispute — they just can’t agree.
“My own thought is that this will be a meditative film about the nature of America as seen through the Wild West. This movie will give us something to think about,” says Stone, who expects to see the movie at TIFF.
“As a movie goer, I would rather go to see an hour and a half of wild west excitement. In my opinion, three hours is too long to be in a theatre.”
Others, however, say the film’s length is justified, and credit Pitt for pushing through with a film different than most Hollywood fare.
“The cut I saw clocked in at nearly three hours, taking its time establishing characters. When the studio asked my opinion on what parts felt too long, I was completely stumped,” said Cakebite, another Ain’t It Cool blogger.
“This is a case of a star using his power for good,” says Havens. “It’s a movie that goes against everything we’ve seen from Hollywood for 20 years. I can’t wait to see the final version.”

It should have been the highlight of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s romantic French holiday.
But the exclusive table reserved for the couple at double Michelin-starred restaurant Chez Bru near Aix-en-Provence sat empty.
Instead, Hollywood’s golden couple were locked in yet another furious row, their dream stay at a chateau deep in the French countryside in tatters after just four days.
AdvertisementThe bust-up was the latest in a long line of rows that has soured the most talked-about romance in showbiz. And, say insiders, the couple are already planning a future apart.
As the Mirror revealed this week, the pair were spotted arguing so ferociously in France that Angelina threw a glass of red wine over Brad.
It seems that after two years together, the world’s most beautiful couple can’t stand the sight of each other.
“The spark has gone but they have a bond because of their children,” confirms a source. “They want to call time on their relationship but they are working out how to do it.”
Friends say that the pair have already hammered out a plan to share custody. “Angelina has no desire to take the kids away from Brad,” says one. “Regardless of their issues, she thinks Brad is a fabulous father.”
Although there have been rows before, things have become so serious that last month Brad, 43, informed his family - parents Bill and Jane, his brother Doug and sister Julie - that a split could be imminent.
Their four children - 14-month-old Shiloh, as well as adopted Maddox, six, Pax, three, and Zahara, two - are currently the only thing keeping them together.
“Brad only has to look at Angie right now and she seems to lose her temper,” says a friend of the pair. “She doesn’t care who’s there or who sees it.
“I was at their rented house in Prague when suddenly Angie started tearing into Brad for asking if she wanted something to eat.
“Brad’s always seemed so besotted with her and from what I have seen she treats him so badly. I’ve even heard her telling friends things like Brad’s always too busy highlighting his hair to keep up with her UN briefs.
“And when she’s reading she demands that he sits in silence and not speak to her.”
At home, it’s Angelina, 32, who wears the trousers. With Brad being the one who cooks and cleans and changes Shiloh’s nappies, Angelina is often to be found with her feet up and a glass of wine in her hand.
According to friends, the root of their problems is their fundamentally different characters. Once you get past the drop-dead gorgeous looks and the millions in the bank, Brad and Angelina are very different people.
At first they both relished their differences, with Angelina recently confessing: “Brad’s cool, playful and organised - completely the opposite of me so we balance each other out”.
But the things that initially proved so attractive are now driving them apart. “Angelina hates answering to anyone and craves time alone,” confides a mutual friend.
The loss of her mother Marcheline Bertrand to ovarian cancer in January this year has affected Angelina’s mood too.
An insider said: “The couple’s only conversations are about which child’s diaper needs changing or who needs dropping at school.” The holiday in the Chateau de la Couronne in the Charente region of France last month was meant to be a relaxing family break before Angelina starts filming her new movie, Wanted, in Chicago in early August. But the reality was the opposite.
The couple had row after row - one so serious that Brad stormed off to Berlin to hole up with his friends Lars Krueckeberg and Thomas Willemeit, who helped design his Malibu home.
He returned on Friday, July 20, and the next day, the pair pulled up on motorcycles outside a small coffee shop in the tiny village of Villebois-Lavalette.
“They were speaking in hushed tones,” says an onlooker. “It seemed as if something was wrong and they were hammering it out.”
After half-an-hour, the pair got up to leave. Then fellow customer Alexandre Sallee, 19, pulled out his mobile phone and took a picture. “That was it,” says the witness, “Angelina turned on her heels, got on her bike and roared off without saying a word to Brad.”
Angelina arrived “stormy-faced” back at the chateau and was later seen locked in intense conversation with a nanny, waving her arms in frustration, says an onlooker.
Still, the couple were determined to salvage their trip. On July 24, the family paid a brief trip to a bowling alley called le Palace Vert in the town of Bussiere-Badil, where Brad shocked onlookers by drinking beer and smoking at the bar. “Angie hates him smoking,” says a source.
The holiday ended in tears. During one emotional bike ride the pair finally realised they had exhausted all their options. “Brad and Angelina stood by their motorcycles in the gorgeous, lush countryside and both cried like babies,” said a close friend.
The next day the family boarded a private jet for Avignon, cutting short their trip by nine days. “Angie wants to run away from everything at the moment,” says the friend.
For his part, Brad is feeling the strain too. And it seems that one of the primary causes of tension lies in their fundamental disagreement on how to raise the children.
Friends say that Brad has had enough of following Angelina around the globe. He wants their children to grow up in a stable environment, to forge strong friendships and see their grandparents and cousins.
“He hates when his tiny kids are jet-lagged and waking up at 3am in a strange country in yet another hotel,” confirms one insider.
“Just this year Maddox has been in school in New Orleans, LA and Prague. Brad has put his foot down and told Angie they have to move back to the States.”
Angelina, however, has other ideas. When asked where she saw herself in 10 years’ time in a recent interview with French magazine Public, she said: “Not in Hollywood that’s for sure! Maybe in an isolated farm in Cambodia.”
This inability to agree on a future has been a continuous source of disagreement.
Meanwhile, Angelina believes Brad is putting himself first. “She keeps bringing up the fact that Brad didn’t make time to go with her to Vietnam to pick up Pax,” says the friend.

For one brilliant, flickering moment, she was poised to become a star. By the age of 17, Lindsay Lohan had played lead roles in four major films, two of them significant hits. In 2004, her first album had gone platinum. Mean Girls had opened at $24 million and had transported her from cute kid to budding sex symbol and style icon. Hollywood wanted to mold her into the next Julia Roberts. By last week, at the age of 21, she had blown it all away. ”She had the world at her feet,” says the head of a major studio. ”And right now, she’d have to pay a studio to get herself into a movie.”
On July 24, just 11 days after leaving rehab, Lohan was arrested for cocaine possession and suspicion of drunk driving. Whether she does time or not, she’s built her own prison in Hollywood. Her latest film, I Know Who Killed Me, premiered last week to an abysmal $3.5 million. ”The rate at which she has fallen, and gotten back up, and fallen again, does not inspire confidence,” says one producer. ”It’s always challenging for a young actor to mature into an adult star. It takes great planning, sophistication, and judgment. She hasn’t shown any of those things.” Lohan has not had a hit since Mean Girls, and her grosses have been declining. She hasn’t opened a movie above $10 million since 2005’s Herbie: Fully Loaded. Of the producers and high-ranking execs who spoke to Entertainment Weekly — some of whom have worked with Lohan, and most of whom insisted on anonymity so they could speak frankly — almost none would hire her now. ”Her career was over long before she had these troubles,” says the studio head. ”The media treat her like she’s Will Smith or Tom Cruise, like she’s some big star, but she simply isn’t.”
If Lohan wanted to blame somebody other than herself, she wouldn’t have to look far. There’s her mother, who seems to want to be a best friend rather than a parent. There’s her ex-con father. There’s the L.A. bar scene that serves underage stars and Hollywood’s compulsion to turn child actors into products, plus a frenzied 21st-century media culture that has made Lohan and other celebs into exotic prey in flashbulb cages. ”It’s ridiculous how different things are than they were 10 years ago,” says Robert Downey Jr., who declined to speak about Lohan specifically, but waged his own public battle with addiction. ”Nowadays, the leap from instant stardom to instant bad boy or girl is so quick. It’s a real challenge to reconcile your own process of becoming an adult with the temptation of celebrity.”
Lohan’s young, but to say she’s a victim of the blogarazzi misses the point. She was, after all, created by that very same culture. And she didn’t exactly object. Without all the tabloid covers and red carpets and cell-phone photos and mug shots, Lohan would not be a household name; she would simply be a talented ingenue with a substance-abuse problem, a messed-up family, and a mediocre box office record. Harsh? Maybe so, but that’s the cold calculus of Hollywood. ”Her troubles are what made her famous,” says one studio exec. ”Her films don’t open. She’s a pain to work with. I think she’s done.” Others go so far as to worry that career death may be the least of Lohan’s concerns. Says another exec: ”I think she has to stay alive.”

James Robinson, the producer of Georgia Rule, famously wrote her a letter scolding her for her lack of professionalism on the set. She needs time to get the proper medical care, [but] when she’s in the right emotional state, I’d put her in a movie right away…. It’s no secret that Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie despise the paparazzi. As the most famous couple on the planet, their daily routine involves dodging cameramen eager to grab any shot of their family in motion. Rumors were swirling that plans were underway to move their permanent base from the United States to somewhere in Europe, and now we can confirm that they’ve settled on a chateau in the south of France called Chateau Val Joanis. Not only does this estate boast almost 1,000 acres of much-needed privacy, but it also includes a productive — and very old — eco-friendly vineyard. How old? Let’s just say that the Romans used to enjoy the wine from this location.
In fact, the chateau features visible remains of the Roman Villa that once existed on the site. In addition to the fantastic wine, the Pitt-Jolie clan will also enjoy a massive sustainable vegetable garden and olive orchard. But back to the grapes — from the site,
“At Val Joanis, we are a family, and we are determined to preserve our ancestral values, adapting them to modern techniques provided these do not conflict with nature. We are concerned to protect our environment and to leave more to future generations than we ourselves received. Because we respect our land, we strive to improve it by our methods of cultivation. They will probabbly travel a lot, but will need a base outside the us too. The last couple of weeks in france seem to work for them so a house there could be a good choice. In the us, the only place were they had some peace was NOLA.

Angelina looks in these pixs much as she did in some pixs taken in Sept 2005(I think) in NYC. She had just completed filming TGS for a while, she had visited a watch shop I think, had on a snug black top and jeans with a little tummy showing and was on her way to be with Brad in Calgary. She had just this same glow of pure happiness about her, and people were just staring at her as she walked out of the shop and got in an SUV, she was just this beautiful. Makes me wonder. Because we now know that she was pregnant at that time. Anybody else remember the pixs that I am talking about?

Yep, I remember. She look really awesome on those pics. But I don’t think a pregnancy coming up just yet, because she still have to do the ‘Changeling?’ movie with Clint Eastwood. And from what I’ve read here is “Wanted” is not all completely done yet, which will delay the Eastwood movie, which may delay baby #5. But then again, Angie did TGS while pregnant, soooo…. so long as the wardrobe for the Changeling is around the same time/era as the Changeling, she could be doing that and be pregnant too. I don’t think that will happen. I think they’ve learned that you have to be realistic about what you can and can’t do. He wants a ton of children and he’s going to be 44 in Dec but what she went through last year was a LOT for one person. I think if she gets pregnant this year/next they’ll wait some time before adopting another

There is no delay in The Changelina. Principal photography is on schedule to begin in Sept. with an October start date.
Another thing to remember about Angelina getting pregnant again. She had a c-section and most OB/GYN’s do not recommend getting pregnant for at least 15 mos- 18 mos with 2 yrs being ideal. Shiloh isn’t even 15 mos yet.

I don’t know the answer to your bet question, but about the JP’s buying a vineyard - I could see this as another investment or passive income for them. Yep, maybe just maybe a few years from now, grocery shelves and liquor stores will be having bottles of Jolie-Pitt Merlot, Chablis, Chardonay, White Zinfandel, or you name it. Nice thread, for the most part. I think one of Angelina’s goals on her year off is to learn how to cook. I think she mentioned it and from the drips and drabs of information she’s leaked, she can’t wait to learn. How dreamy would it be for her to have her culinary training in the French country side, where she would have access to the best locally grown produce and best wines? Brad can learn too! LOL!!!!!!!!! I really hope that they did buy that chateau. Where does Johnny Depp & Vancess Paradis live in France? Is it in the Provance also?

I would be surprised if BradDad took the whole year off although producing labors seem to be less location-intensive. In any event, I think Angie’s the only one who has said things about her plans.

Angie looks spectacular in these fotos. Healthy hair is a good sign of protein and nutrient intake, plus I think her arms (in the picking up maddox sequence) look nice and toned.

But no need to get upset, as this is good news then, as I for one would like for them to have another bio kid first. Even with all new tech, a woman will have more risks when having babies when they are older. Not that Angie is getting older, but right now she is healthy and just IMHO, the right time. :)
