Reese & Ryan: Back Together?
Reese Witherspoon and Ryan Phillippe are on the road to reconciliation, according to Page Six.
“They met for lunch this week at the Votre Sante health-food restaurant, a regular Brentwood haunt for Reese on San Vicente,” said one source. “And they’re going on runs together around the Brentwood Country Club. Both are regular, dedicated runners. Running is a very healing, meditative thing, so maybe it will work its magic on them.”
A friend of Witherspoon said, “Reese and Ryan are trying to work it out. They are still close.”
Phillippe’s rep denied these rumors saying, “It’s not true.” And the fact that Reese and Jake Gyllenhaal are back together speaks volumes unto itself!

I think Jake and Reese would make a good couple. They seem like nice, respectful people. Whenever I see him on TV doing an interview, he’s so down to earth, and very charming. He doesn’t seem like a player, and it looks like he would know how to treat a girl well. I think he would be perfect for her!
I’m glad Reese is with Jake and not going back to Ryan. These ragloids are usually wrong! But as HOT and sweet as I think Jake is, and I love him!the problems I see ahead for them are not just with how he adjusts to having a girlfriend with two little kids and an ex, but also their social life and friends. I’ll just bet Reese’s friends tend toward married with children and Jake’s tend toward single without kids.And I bet she is more of a traditional kind of person and he is more of the creative artist type. Sort of like a hippie hooking up with an accountant.I think they might actually last another year or so, but that’s it.I think it’s nice, but I don’t think it’s a forever thing.

No way this is a PR stunt! They have no scenes together. This is not a romantic comedy. This is a serious, political thriller. I don’t think anyone, especially the director and producers, want this kind of publicity. This isn’t Tom and Katie LOL! Jake and Reese have done everything they can to keep a lid on this. They haven’t been out and about hitting clubs and restaurants, shopping, going to the beach, hanging out, kissing in public and all the usual crap that showmances use.
Anon 55 - THe movie is by no means low budget. It also has a very leftist US bashing point of view, which will be a hard sale at the box office. The conservative press has already started. You don’t think that buzz about a romance between Jake and Reese, and their presence together on the red carpet, will drum up box office sales. Of course it is. That’s the strategy. I do. You obviously have put Reese up on a pedestal where she most certainly does not belong.
I love how some losers on here insist they know exactly what is going on with Reese and Jake. You all seriously need to calm the hell down especially you anon. The only two people who know exactly what’s going on with Reese and Jake’s relationship are Reese and Jake themselves. We can sit here and argue from today until next week what the status of their relationship is but we won’t know until the two of them come out and say it. They could be dating or they could be friends or its even possible it is a pr stunt but you all shouldnt act like you know whether or not its definitely any of the above.
Please excuse the “Reese does no wrong troll” she is a busy girl she will tell you all about Reese’s family values and class and what a smart cookie she is. Cuz Reese would NEVER lie about a relationship not even to win an Oscar she’s too down to earth for that!! She may be on another board now but she’ll be back!! So watch out HATERZ!

Anon 60 - I can’t wait, either. Hell, the script is already written and Vince wrote it. Cuddling on the set, the Wrap Party, the Balcony shots, the hilarious denials on Letterman, Leno and Oprah. I know Vince still has that ugly yaller ring - no way he could sell it without getting caught. I think it’ll look right purty on one of Reese’s claws. If we can just get Joe Francis out of jail, they can throw him into the pot, too. Love it! You go, boy!
‘gyllenspoon’ forever? haha! thats hilarious but nono, im not bashing the couple. i actually think jake and reese look better together than reese with ryan. i used to think that ryan and reese’s marriage would last forever…they were so cute together! but ever since the divorce, i think ryan’s a loser. reeese’s definitely, too good for him.
Looks are not a criteria for keeping a marriage together. It seems that people for get the “for worse part”-Everything goes back to foundation-what is the marriage really based on? Despite having married young, both are really well grounded people. My little 2 cent opinion is this-Something has to give-It’s difficult to have 2 major hollywood stars under the same roof, especially when you are young-Children have nothing to do with our likes and dislikes, they did not ask to be born, and they have no choice over who their parents are-but they all need the same thing-unconditional love, stability, security, and affection-I admire those who withdraw from the limelight as a sacrifice in order to give their children the best possible foundation that they can-Susan Sarandon, Paulette Washington, Tom Hank’s wife. . .Where are their kids and how are they doing? From whatI understand, they are Great and successful-Basically everything comes down to choice-There is no award in Hollywood that can replace the sanity and emotional well being of a kid-Britney, Paris, Nicole, Lindsay, Rumer, . . . .
I hope that Reece & Ryan are truly trying to work their marriage out this time, but I really don’t know if I believe this. There are so many conflicting stories that have been going on lately I don’t know what to believe. I find it funny how it all started the publicity of Jake getting to be the hottest #1 vote by the Gays recently. Then Reece gets this Avon award and then you see that Reece & Jake are back on together and now this with Reece & Ryan - all on the hands of the Rendition movie coming out in 2 months and Toronto FIlm Fest next month. Dont you guys think this is all a big PR game going in right now?
Besides I truly believe this is a BIG BUDGET movie that they are making due to the fact that Reece, Jake, Peter Saargaard, Meryle Streep & Alan Arkin are all in it. They have to pay each of these actors alot of money, they are not new to the industry. And also alot of filming took place here around the states and in Morrocco. I think there is alot of money at stake in try to get this boring movie to be a big hit. What do you all think?
Jessica, I doubt this started because Jake was listed as number 1 with gays. He has done a lot of gay supportive things, despite a lot of the stupid and insulting jokes that go around the internet. As for the PR for the movie, well possible, but I doubt Jake or Reese would want to have relationship rumors get in the way of people going to see a movie on such a serious subject. Btw, they both took a pay cut to get the movie made. I think the Ryan/Reese stuff was made up by gossips at Page Six.
BULLSH*T - Reese is so into Jake and Ryan blew it big time.
