OlderAngelina Jolie Works Chicago
Angelina Jolie is in Chicago filming her latest crime action thriller Wanted with Morgan Freeman and James McAvoy, according to the Chicago Sun Times. This shoot is the final leg of filming and is expected to last just three weeks.
To avoid a media frenzy every day, a source close to the actress indicated ”most of her meals will likely be taken on set in her trailer, or back in her hotel suite.”
Angie has five bodyguards protecting her and was seen making her way up to The John Hancock Center, in the heart of Chi-town’s Magnificent Mile, en route to eat at the Signature Room.
No word yet on whether main man Brad Pitt and the kids are in town.
Yesterday, the family was in Santa Barbara celebrating Maddox’s 6th birthday… army-style. Brad was seen with a helmet on while Angie and Zahara had paint smeared on their faces. It was a little boy’s paradise with military uniforms, dirt bikes, 4-wheelers and military-style tents.

I see my point was totally lost. Was El Cantante every compared to big block buster movies like AMH was? NO. Were they every expected to make Jason Bourne numbers? No. AMH’s so call failure was based on Spidey3 and Die Hard 3. It was held up against those types of movies. El Cantante was only held up to other low budget Independent movies. Do you remember News papaer articles and entertainments shows calling AMH a box office failure based on those unrealistic comparisons? El Cnatante was in less theaters than AMH if I double there take based on that would bring there total to 6.4. Would that have been acceptable for AMH based on comparing it to Spidey 3 numbers. Remember all the post questioning the timing of the release that are still being written ? Can we except to see those same kind of articles about this movie?
#958: She didn’t go because she was ashamed at herself for putting her son and her grandchild’s mother in a spot when she got taken in by the X with that Malibu visit. She was old enough and wise enough to know that the X had an agenda when she begged her to come and see her. Now, she’s too embarrassed to face Angie and her son with her faux pas. She will come again after making amends to the couple and the whole family. She did send Madd a nice present though.

Was El Cantante box office comapred to big block buster movies like AMH? Was the timing of the movie questioned? Where as 3 mill for Jennifer Lopez is acceptable in less theaters lets be real would that ever be acceptable for AJ? They didn’t even compare the movie to other independent films like they are doing Lopez’s movie. Where they were a lot of articles praising AMH do you remember all the articles questioning the boxoffice? Can we expect to see those same articles for this movie? The question of Lopez’s affliation with Tom Cruise or or tabloid history affected the movie because they through everything at AJ. Just earlier this week there was an old article where it called Babel a failure because it made 2 mil opening weekend because lets face it that isn’t acceptable for BP even if it was in 1 theater. We all laughed about it and said the writer spoke to early as babel went on to make 135 mil ww.

I’m a liberal. I was opposed to the invasion of Iraq since 1/02 and I am not a pacifist. Why do people suppose AJ is? She has been protected by UN peacekeepers numerous times. Also, who said AJ was a liberal? We all know her Dad is a flaming right-wing fascist and tried to control her but I thought I read that she was an objectivist? Or is that just because of her connection to “Atlas Shrugged?”
What I love most about AJ since 2005 is her flip-off to all the FFers, JA fans and haters — not to mention the Bradfans who hate his connection to her. If she did try to address them or explain herself they will never, never, never be satisfied. They would then want her to cut her hair, next remove her tattoos, then leave Brad and the kids — what I mean is they HATE Angie for who she is — literall for her self-affirmation. Double standard - I have not heard one thing about what a failure Jennifer Lopez’s movie El Cantante was this weekend. They opened to 3.2 mil and as of today are at 3.4 mil. AMH opening weekend was 3.9 million and by that following Monday they were at 4.3 mil. Also, the Bourne moive opened last weekend I don’t see anyone comparing Jennifer’s movie to that like they tried to compare AMH to Spidey, Die Hard and every other big box ofiice movie. But strangely not a peep only how good the performances and reviews are this is not only by the blogs but the media and the entertainment shows, not a peep about it being a box office failure. But there is no double standard for Brad and Angie, yeah right.

The L.A times did a HUGE article about how even the people who helped to do the movie were very pissed with the final product.
One more thing EL CANTANTE opened in less than half of the numbers of theaters that AMH did and their avg. per theater is WAY WAY higher than the AMH one.

Your are Wrong. Average per theatre is $2914, NOT $811 as you stated. HOW CONVENIENT that you purposly reported a wrong number. Are you thinking we are not checking it?
Again, if there are very few theatres showing the movie, of course the average per theatre is a lot higher. This is common sense. For example if the movie is only shown in 2 theatres, the average would be 1.6M per theatre. Therefore, just looking at the average per theatre is MEANINGLESS.
It is the final gross number that carries more weight.

1094 CHRISTMAS MORNING —ITAWU, they are very much loved here and respected as well. JJ’s is proof of that, I’ve been at JJ’s almost 3 years so I know so many people love her. BUT, there is the mini van group and X group that absolutely despise her and some tabloids wanting to make money with negative lies thinking bad news sells. Most people abroad don’t even know who X is other than she was married to Brad once.She gets all of the negative press here and the European contries such as UK copy from the tabloids from US. I hope I made myself clear this time around :-)
