Fashion Faceoff: Dolce & Gabbana Dress
Sophie Ellis-Bextor strikes it fierce in a Dolce & Gabbana dress at The BRIT Awards 2007 back in February in London. The English pop singer finished off her look with peep-toe slingbacks and a white clutch.
Halle Berry wore the same figure-flattering dress when she was honored with her own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame back in April. The Oscar-winning actress matched her outfit with platform Mary Janes by Christian Louboutin.
Who wore it best — SOPHIE ELLIS-BEXTOR or HALLE BERRY?

Ordinarily I think Halle is more attractive, but here: somehow Sophie looks far, far more chic in exactly the same dress. Halle looks a little boring and MOR. Sophie it is.

I think that’s a bad comparison, Halle did it really well because brown suits her better and also as the event was during the day. Sophie chose also really well as for an evening black is better and brown would not suit her. Both of them have nice figures but I don’t like Halle’s shoes, she was wrong with the colour black not to mention the red behind which would match better with a black dress. She should have worn brown or cream shoes and without being tight on the ankle as it shortens the leg. In conclusion, both pretty nut Sophie did it better.
HALLE!!! I love her! You would never know the lady has diabetes by, that marvelous figure she has! I have diabetes too and, I’m thin. SO, diabetes is not a FAT thing. I adore Halle. Beautful, talented actress!!!

Sophie! What’s wrong with being pale? That’s her natural color. It’s way better than fake tan or tanning beds. She embraces her own skin tone. Good for her. There are soooo many stupid and insecure people out there who don’t. “I’m too dark, I need to bleach my skin.” or “I’m too white, I need to use tanning beds and maybe get skin cancer.” Stupid people!

i think they both look great as creepy as sophie looks…but i think halle looks better. yeah, the brown works better and her hair is great. she also has a better figure to fill into the dress. it was a close one but halle definitely rocked it more.

sophie! looks best. halle kinda looks plain and boring. sophie uses not alot of colour(lips) but she stands out more to me. and thats what they should want to be the center of attention. Halle kinda just blends in.

hmm, this is one time where i have to say both. i definitely choose darker skinned people over super whiteys normally, but they both rock each incarnation of the dress beautifully. i like haley’s shoes more and sophie’s accessories, especially her earrings.

Although they both look great in the dress Sophie is the all-round winner. Halle looks a bit boring: simple make-up and jewelry (which isn’t bad, but just a bit boring in this instance). Sophie looks chic and the dress works great with her (natural!) pale complexion. What’s goth about that??? Great hair, make-up, jewellery and bag… shoes could ve been better though. She’s one of the few British celebs who has great class and style: she’s posher than posh spice, people! Double name, famous parents, sophisticated…

I have to say both. Normally I’m a hands down Halle voter, but Sophie looks great too. I think they both rocked the dress for different occasions. Sophie is how you wear it at night (love it in the black btw)and Halle is wear it in the day.
