Maddox’s Army-Style B-day Bash

Life & Style Weekly has the exclusive pictures from Brad Pitt’s birthday surprise for son Maddox.

It all started out on Friday when Angelina Jolie brought Maddox with her to work at LA Studios. This was a distraction so that Brad Pitt could ready the house for Mad’s 6th birthday bash. Here’s what the L&S insiders had to say:

On the parents doing the party planning: “Brad and Angelina were heavily involved in the preparations. They mapped out and set up everything themselves.”

On Braddox’s relationship: “Brad and Maddox have a unique father-son bond. Brad came into Maddox’s life at precisely the right time. He needed a strong male influence as a role model. And after all those years of wanting a child, Brad was bouncing off the walls with excitement.”

On the fun waterslide: “It was huge! Brad made sure the plastic was good and wet before anyone went down. He even inflated some rafts.”

On Brad readying the troops for Capture the Flag: “Brad really got into it,” says the insider. “He was decked out in military fatigues and a helmet. Even Angie and Zahara painted their faces!”

On the gifts Brad and Angie bought Maddox (dirt bike, a leather jacket and a helmet): “Mad wants to be a biker, just like his dad. He’s always going into Brad’s closet and strutting around in Brad’s hats!”

68 UN troops for Darfur authorized
==========================

Thanks for the article. I am glad the efforts by actors such as GC, BP, MD, DCheadle, MiaF, and especially by Spielberg have paid off.
Here is the link to another article I just found. have to go back to read it though. Will copy and past it here. I would rather read about Dafur than the lies of Faux-news or Chi sun.

It seems that we have been invaded by FAKE “insiders” again!! the information that you “insiders” post is ALWAYS wrong!! So GIVE IT UP, because we know that all of you are Maniston’s fans just pretending to be “insiders”!! DUH!!

…………………………………………

I’m not claiming to be an insider. I just got the info from that Chicago blogger who’s been tracking Brad and Angelina’s moves. She said Brad was driven to the airport and apparently left town. If I were a troll claiming to be an insider, I’d get creatve and say things like Brad left with Jane to meet up with Jen. :p

If Brad is really in LA, what is so suprising to haterz, a good partner is to take of family, make sure everything is well arranged then take care of his business. That’s is a responsible caring man’s behavior.

so, he only stayed in chicago for the paparazzi`pics?

Jolie tells French mag “Brad must accept my mood swings”

The magazine reveals that the bizarre conversation offered candid revelations that all is not perfect in their relationship. When asked how Brad can keep her happy, Angelina replies that he must “accept my mood swings…know how to cope with a crisis and be a good father to my kids.”

***

The article notes that it is disturbing that she uses the word “my” when referring to their children. While Angelina adopted Maddox, 6, Pax, 3, and Zahara, 2, on her own, Brad has filed papers to adopt the kids and they all have the surname Jolie-Pitt. The couple also has a biological daughter, Shiloh, 14 months, but Angelina clearly doesn’t see Brad as an equal parent.

“Using that pronoun ‘my’ says it all,” relationship expert Dr. Gilda Carle, who does not treat the stars, tells In Touch. “It’s saying you really don’t have that much of a partnership, you don’t share the role of parent with me. I suspect, if this is where she’s heading, she’ll be heading out the door.” Angelina also admits some of her shortcomings in the Public interview, saying Brad is “cool, playful and organized — completely the opposite of me.”

Progress at last in Darfur

By Michael Gerson

WASHINGTON - After four years of brutal raids, ethnic cleansing and systematic rape in Darfur, Sudan - and nearly three years after the Bush administration declared this a genocide - the U.N. Security Council has finally approved a credible peacekeeping force. For 2 million displaced people in the camps, this is a wisp of hope on the horizon. For 200,000 of the dead, it comes too late.

The most disturbing part of the latest U.N. negotiations was the continued leverage exercised by the regime in Khartoum, which has a long history of mass killing. In the polished manners of the United Nations, blood on your hands is not a disqualification for a seat at the diplomatic table. With the expected help of China, and the disappointing support of France and Britain, the Sudanese envoy weakened the mandate of the peacekeeping force - no weapons are to be seized from the militias - and removed the threat of sanctions if Khartoum fails to cooperate. The regime protested that its “sovereignty” over the people of Darfur must be respected - which is really the sovereignty of lions over the herds they hunt.

But even this diluted resolution is useful. It authorizes what will be the largest peacekeeping operation in the world - upward of 25,000 soldiers and police under joint U.N. and African Union control. It sets specific dates for the transition to that force. And it mandates the protection of both aid workers and civilians.

Khartoum’s grudging acceptance of U.N. peacekeepers is the result of global pressure. For all its tactical confusions, Sarkozy’s France is tougher on the regime than was Chirac’s France. China can no longer be too obvious in its support of Khartoum, or it would risk the boycott of its Olympics next year. And a new round of American sanctions on Sudan has begun to bite, pressuring international banks to stop accepting Khartoum’s billions in oil money.

Is this momentum real? There are two benchmarks that will help answer this question, one way or the other.

In October, the United Nations must have its headquarters operational in Darfur, and take over financing African troops already on the ground.

By December at the latest, the U.N. will need to have in place what is called the “heavy support package” - hospitals, attack helicopters, 2,000 new African troops, and 3,000 police. It will also need to know which countries will contribute the rest of the troops to the peacekeeping force.

If the United Nations has met these realistic goals by New Year’s Eve, it will be a good beginning, a sign of seriousness. But the signals out of Khartoum are mixed. The United Nations has informed U.S. officials that it is already getting resistance from the regime on logistical issues. If the Sudanese continue to play these games, as they have done before, there will need to be penalties.

The United States has immediate responsibilities as well - to provide airlift support through NATO, training for command staff, communications and computer equipment, and generators. America is obligated to pay for 27 percent of the cost of the peacekeeping force, which will probably require a supplemental funding bill from Congress in 2008.

But the implementation of this resolution is, above all, a test for the United Nations. In dealing with Darfur, U.N. officials are determined to learn from their historical mistakes. The problem is choosing which mistake to learn from.

U.N. military planners want to avoid the debacle of Somalia which began in 1992, when peacekeepers entered a chaotic situation piecemeal and eventually left in defeat and failure. So in Darfur they want the U.N. intervention to be large and decisive - a “big bang” - even if that means the timeline is delayed.

Another U.N. failure is worth recalling and avoiding: Rwanda in 1994. While waiting for perfect circumstances to intervene, the world did little, and now lives haunted by a million ghosts.

No historical analogy is exact. But the Darfur genocide is closer to Rwanda than Somalia. It requires the urgent establishment of security first.

For all the Americans who have worked and prayed for Sudan over the years, for all the churches and synagogues with banners that call us to conscience, the time to push has arrived. There are many complex steps of negotiation and reconciliation between government and rebels down the road. But we should begin with one step: 5,000 new police and troops in Darfur by the end of this year

I absolutely love this beautiful family! :) They are so great with the kids!

Brad at the Chicago airport. Caption reads: Brad Pitt leaves Chicago fulling reports that his relationship with angelina jolie is in trouble.

there is not video on splash

Brad Pitt says:

I had a turbulent life with Jen. Because of that, my career suffered. My movies flopped, then I did not work for some time.

After meeting Angie, I became a new man both intimately and artistically speaking. Now my movies are all artistically and commercially successful. Angie is truly my lucky charm.

Angie is truly a work of art. We are as much as in love as on the first day.

Angelina is a saint @ 08/09/2007 at 10:11 am

“Jennifer Lopez won a permanent injunction barring her ex-spouse, Ojani Noa, from disclosing intimate information about their relationship for personal gain.

Among the revelations purportedly made in the ghost-written book, according to media accounts, was that Lopez had multiple affairs during her brief marriage to Noa, including one with salsa-singer Marc Anthony, Lopez’s third and current husband, while he also was married to someone else.”

if i’m not mistaken, Anthony has little kid with ex spouse, and yet nobody calls JL a homewrecker;

Angelina is a saint compared to these hypocrites women in Hollywood

Brad has left Chicago. Apparently he boarded a private plane yesterday evening. Destination unknown.
