GIDDY UP!!!
Angelina Jolie stays classic in black and looks fan-freaking-tastic in the new ad for upscale, luxury American brand St. John. Holding a horse by the reins in one hand and a jockey hat in the other, Angelina rocks out a leather jacket with simple pearl jewelry.
The other St. John ad below features Angelina rocking a black strapless number with a pair of dogs by her side.

I sometimes think that these bitter women fantasize about BP for so long that when he left “you know who” it felt like he left them. They sure are bitter over a Hollywood divorce. BP is mighty fine. However, I don’t think I would come un-hinged if a relatinship he was in broke up. That is his personal business. BP and AJ are making a go out of it despite all the sh*it thrown at them. The fact that they are able to tune out tabs nonsense and smear campaigns speak to the devotion of their relationship. One can only wish them and their adorable children the best.
I’m at awe to see Ange’s latest St John’s picture, she is really stunning & with class. She carries herself real well in any kind of clothes. Angelina is FANTASTIC & beautiful. St John made the right choice in choosing Ange to model their line of clothes. She is everything Brad wished for. Brad made the right choice to be with Ange & have his biological daughter by her.

Japanese really love Brad, he has been in their commerical for almost everything: coffee, jean, car, cell phone, camera, motobike, watch. if he doesn’t make movies, he can just be a full time model. unfortunately, we can not see any of his commerical in America

To me, all the celebrities’s pictures are photoshoped to take away the wrinkles and all the saggings. The bone structures i.e shape of lips, eyes and things like that remain the same. Just look at the Smartwater ad from X. Her face’s lines and wrinkles all disappear but the huge jutting jaw is prominent for all the see. Well she tries to cover up w/ her arm but no success though. In the end if you don’t have it then you ain’t have it no amount of cover up can do.
You know what? I love Ange, but these photos do not do her justice. These idiots have one of the most photogenic women in their hands and what do they do? Stick her in drab, cliched situations with a dour look on her face. So damn stupid - what a waste!
This is a woman full of life and who loves to smile. Use your friggin imagination St. John. None of this makes me interested in your clothes OR your ads.

I just came back from work,taking care of cancer patients. I just feel so so very sad to see the haters keep trashing Angelina. Why do they want to live in such a destructive, miserable and anger life ? I think that in Asia, they idolize Brad’s classic looks because he is tall and handsome in a gentle kind of way. They don’t like dark broody type looks. You don’t see them going wild for Tom C at all. Just like with Angie, hers is a classic and timeless looks. They both look very sophisticate with little effort.

Thanks Jared for the new thread. Angelina can pull of just about any look, as Sheri has said from leather to burlap. I think when I saw her at Cannes this year with Brad, and no matter what she wore, she looked so beyond beautiful. My most favorite photos of her are the relaxed ones where she is with her family and smiling, because she looks soooooo content and full of love.
I am not surprised that she is helping Saint John’s sales. She reaches a wide range of women who will now consider it when purchasing higher end clothing.

Somewhere in the last six months it seems like it is now fashionable to bash Brangelina at will. The latest to set up to the plate is Mike Tyson’s ex-wife Robin Givens. The sexy actress was a Brad Pitt girl in the eighties and she gives a bit of a warning to Angelina Jolie.

Angelina Jolie, even the name has a certain rhythm to it. Love or hate her, you cannot be indifferent about her. To say she is a goddess is stating the obvious.
Has there ever been a more talked about woman since Princess Diana?
It is hard to believe that she only just turned 32, she has achieved in those years what most people will never achieve if they lived to be 100years. There is no question that Angelina is a trailblazer, always a leader and never a follower. What sets her apart from her imitators is that she is authentic, unlike the public relations manufactured images, she is not afraid to speak and live honestly.
The media has created an image of an Angelina that bears no resemblance to who she is, the tabloids especially have turned her life into a soap opera and creating drama where none exists. The tabloids have been especially vicious in their relentless attack on this woman. I ask myself why? What is it about this woman that so threaten other women. As one columnist so succinctly put it, “Angelina does not make us feel good about ourself.” This is a woman who at the age of 26 adopted a child while most of her peers have been parroting to the media about wanting to be a mother, Jolie doesn’t just talk the talk, she walks the walk. Yes adoption has been going on long before she adopted, but she made it cool and acceptable. She has immersed herself in her humanitarian work, earning her kudos and respect from the experts in the field, she donates one third of her income to so many different charitable organizations around the world. Not only does she give money, she gives her time and her heart. She is a pilot, how many actresses can claim that?
Most insecure, self absorbed people cannot relate to her because she is not a train wreck. People can look at the train wrecks that are Lindsay Lohan and Britney Spears and feel sorry for them and happily say to themselves,’Thank God my life is not that bad, thank God I am a better mother”, but that cannot be said about Jolie. She is a wonderful mother, a wonderful and loving partner, daughter and sister.
It is amusing how the media tries to force down our throat their version of Angelina- the man eater, this is interesting considering that her life has been so public and she has only been associated with so few men, two of whom she married. The media tries to portray an image of a cold and controlling woman, but yet again the facts do not bear that out. Everybody that has ever met her always say how sweet and down to earth she is, even Brad Pitt, poor man, did not know what hit him when he met her because the Angelina he met was the real Angelina and not the version created by the media. Her ex husbands still think the world of her and have the most positive things to say about her, unlike the eternal victim(Jennifer Anniston)who proclaimed that she and her ex husband were parting as friends until she realized that playing the victim and stabbing him on the back will be her best career move, and knowing that they are so many insecure women who do not have a discerning mind and cannot think for themselves.
Angelina is that rare actress that is taken serious both in Hollywood and Washington DC. The media try to create a caricature of her authentic self in an effort assure their readers that one person cannot have it all. At this point, she and Brad Pitt have baffled the tabloid and fiction writers who proclaimed that this union will not last more than six months, here they are going into their third year with four children and more being planned for. To read some of the blogs with the bitter women claiming they are over Brangelina, and yet everywhere they show up, the crowd swell, applauding them. Maybe the tabloids need to get with the program that more people want this couple to succeed. We are constantly told she was a wild child or all the crazy stuff she did seven to ten years ago with her ex husband, funny nobody says anything about BBT’s behavior from back then considering that he was old enough to be her father. Drew Barrymore was a wild child doing drugs and clubbing at the tender age of 10, and let us not forget about Johnny Depp trashing hotel rooms, but of course they are not Angelina Jolie and there is always one rule for her and a different one for everyone else.
Angelina is an enigmatic figure, very intelligent, very passionate and highly opinionated, I can’t say I blame Brad for falling in love with this gem of a woman. Her beauty shines from within. The tabloids have been throwing everything they can at her right now, hoping that they can break her, but my gut feeling is that seeing what she has seen in the refugee camps and the war torn countries she has visited, she has a better perspective in life, she is able to see the bigger picture and that is why her detractors will never get to her because she is on a much higher plane. I have a feeling that we will still be talking about this woman 50 years from now, long after the pity party has ended and the fake girl next door has been exposed for the fraud that she is. In the mean time, Angelina will continue to live her life with such poise, class and dignity. Staying cool and level headed in the midst of the madness, she is one cool, classy babe.
She has inspired people the world over by choosing a purpose driven life over a narcissistic and self absorbed one, her critics could learn a thing or two about making the world a little better instead of polluting it with their nastiness and ugly behavior.

They were rehashing the same story they gave two years ago which was completely fake jenny said so herself there is a video of her saying none of it is true from when news of the world first done this story in 2005. I don’t know what to think about Robin Givens. While, in the past, she was complimentary toward Brad, she also just penned a book and may need publicity.
And anyway… she was married to Mike Tyson and to some two-bit Eurotrash ‘tennis player’ for like 24 hours, so her critiquing a normal guy’s fascination factor seems a bit out of place.
And Jenny S. - I thought this b*tch was supposed to be writing a tell-all. The press touted it all last summer and yet, nothing. I guess she’s resigned to being a correspondent whose expertise is Angelina’s past lesbian encounters.
There’s no doubt that Jenny S. is jonesing for Angelina sex; but the worst part of her fixation on Angelina is that her alleged bond with Angelina also had to do with self-mutiliation, as if that’s another draw. If Jenny S. wants to hurt herself, that’s her business, but Angelina has a lot of people depending on her to be there and Jenny S. refuses to acknowledge their existence. Now that is worse than anything the tabs have done because she was once close to Angelina, unless that was a significant aspect that Angelina didn’t share because Jenny S. was demoted to booty-call.

The new public enemy Number 1: bottled water

It’s a hugely beneficial liquid in a slim cylinder of plastic, but for US environmentalists, it is the new public enemy number one: bottled water.
With US bottled water sales growing nearly 10 percent annually — and the trash from tossed containers climbing just as quickly — calls for Americans to go back to drinking tap water have surged since the beginning of summer.
“This country has some of the best public water supplies in the world,” the New York Times said in an editorial earlier this month.
“Instead of consuming four billion gallons (15 billion liters) of water a year in individual-sized bottles, we need to start thinking about what all those bottles are doing to the planet’s health.”
As was pointed out at World Water Week in Stockholm on Monday, US personal consumption per capita, including water from all sources, hits 400 liters (106 gallons) each day — compared to 10 liters (2.6 gallons) a person in developing countries.
And US consumers are drinking more bottled water by the day. According to the Beverage Marketing Corporation, growth in bottled water sales last year was 9.7 percent, making the total market worth about 11 billion dollars.
Bottled water in the United States does not mean mineral water, even if Americans grumble more and more about paying a high price to drink water with little to distinguish it.
At the end of July beverage giant PepsiCo was forced by public pressure to explain on its Aquafina bottled water that the contents inside come from … the tap.
Pepsi’s response “is an important first step,” said Gigi Kellett, director of the “Think Outside the Bottle” campaign.
“Concerns about the bottled water industry, and increasing corporate control of water, are growing across the country,” she said.
From mineral springs or from public pipes, water once in a bottle is expensive. The New York Times estimated that for some consumers the bill could hit 1,400 dollars a year — for an amount that, taken from a home faucet, might cost less than half a dollar.
And it is not always better.
“Bottled water sold in the United States is not necessarily cleaner or safer than most tap water, according to a four-year scientific study,” the National Resources Defense Council recently reported. It also said regulation has not guaranteed more pure water in bottles.
Another point of attack is the packaging waste, which Earth Policy Institute tied to an issue of US security policy: oil imports.
According to the institute, it costs the United States 1.5 million barrels of oil a year to produce the plastic bottles used for water.
And if one adds the energy required to transport it — especially premium water imported all the way from France, Italy and even the Fiji islands — the negative impact on the environment rises quickly.
The anti-bottled water campaign has gotten political support: the mayor of San Francisco has stopped supplying water in containers to his staff, telling them to drink what comes out of the faucet.
And New York has launched a campaign to persuade its inhabitants to stick to public sources to quench their thirst.
Feeling they were at the center of the target, bottled water producers went on the defense last week, in part arguing that bottled water helps liberate consumers from calorie-heavy sweet sodas.
“The bottled water industry has recently been the target of misguided and confusing criticism by activist groups and a handful of mayors who have presented misinformation and subjective criticism as facts,” the International Bottled Water Association said.
Association president Joseph Doss said they were being unfairly singled out.
“If the debate is about the impact of plastic packaging on the environment, a narrow focus on bottled water spotlights only a small portion of the packaged beverage category and an even smaller sliver of the universe of packaged products,” he said.
“Any efforts to reduce the resources necessary to produce and distribute packaged goods — and increase recycling rates — must focus on all packaging,” he said.

So sad, but so true….that there really are many people who believe the sensational headlines as they pass them in the checkout lines. Two people I thought I knew well really surprised me when they told me that they won’t go to see AMH because ‘they didn’t like the things they read about AJ.’ It was a bit sad as it showed up a facet of their personality that was not too nice. LOS ANGELES — Common is at the top of the Billboard albums chart for the first time in his 15-year career, but now the rapper is setting his sights on a different frontier: Hollywood.

Following up on what many considered to be an exceptional screen debut in the otherwise unexceptional “Smokin’ Aces,” the Finding Forever rapper is wrapping up work on “Wanted,” a buzz-heavy comic book flick that’s rapidly becoming one of the most-anticipated non-sequels of 2008 (see “Why Angelina Jolie, Common ‘Wanted’ To Work With Red-Hot Russian Director”).
The famously pacifistic star is once again playing against type — he’s taking on the role of the Gunsmith for the flick. “In movies, I’m always playing gun-totin’ dudes!” he told us this week.
Regardless of his appreciation for spirituality and social awareness, the hulking hip-hop star’s frame fits the Hollywood mold of intimidating hit man. And as anyone who has seen recent Timur Bekmambetov’s Russian imports “Day Watch” and “Night Watch” knows, the stylistic director of “Wanted” will keep Common and co-stars Angelina Jolie, James McAvoy and Morgan Freeman from being anything close to typical as he makes his American-movie debut.
“It’s a really good story — I think the story’s got substance to it, but it’s still got great action,” he said. “It’s gonna be something new, man.”
We’d expect nothing less from the mixture of Bekmambetov, this cast and one of the most beloved graphic novels of its generation. Telling the story of a cubicle-slave antihero with more than a passing physical resemblance to Eminem, the story takes off when Wesley Gibson (McAvoy) has his eyes opened to an underground world where villainous assassins — including his recently deceased father — have been given death orders engineering the extinction of superheroes. Taken under the wing of the assassins, Wesley joins the dangerous group that includes the deadly Sloan (Freeman), the lethal Gunsmith and the sexy Fox (Jolie).
“One of the scenes that I’m excited about is a scene that Angelina and I were improv’ing,” Common remembered of the shoot, which has taken them from Chicago to Prague to the Czech Republic. “It’s a scene where I, the Gunsmith, am instructing James McAvoy’s character about shooting, because that’s what I do — I’m a master of guns. So I’m telling him to shoot, but during that time [Jolie's character] and I are having a conversation about something else. It was just an improv situation that felt natural and good. I’m excited to see that — I’m excited to see the whole movie, to be honest.”
Between all those takes of “Matrix”-like gunplay, Common reported that he and Jolie became good friends and that she’s nothing like the tabloids would have us believe. “Angelina was the best — I’ve gotta tell you,” he said, flashing a grin. “She was, like, one of the coolest people I’ve ever met. I felt like the way she was encouraging me was just really warm and cool, and she brought the family around. I got to meet Brad — everybody was cool, just down-to-earth people there.
“It’s good to meet somebody who’s such a big superstar who’s just so cool,” he added, “and really there for a cause.”
Bekmambetov, meanwhile, has his own unique Hollywood cause: To create visuals that amaze even the most well-versed blockbuster-movie buffs. From exploding child’s toys to end-over-end flipping trucks to trippy voyages into “The Gloom,” his “Night Watch”/ “Day Watch” films have done amazing things on miniscule budgets — and Common insists that “Wanted” will continue to get a big bang for the cinematic buck.
“The way this is shot is different,” he insisted. “Timur is from Russia. His whole way of shooting is a different approach … some action movies are just good action, but this has a great story to it. It’s got substance to it. Morgan Freeman is in it — that’s one of the legendary people in acting. It just has these elements that are gonna make it special.”
“The way it feels, and the way the story goes?” Common promised of the March 28 release. “It’s gonna blow people’s minds.”

Most of the people who met Ange say all the positive things about her, that’s one of the reasons why Brad fell in love with her. Ange is really down to earth, very loving & caring. Two perfect couple. I admire them both to their humanitarian effort, they are good example to others. Hollywood should follow their leads. Very beautiful family The Jolie-Pitt.

“The bottled water industry has recently been the target of misguided and confusing criticism by activist groups and a handful of mayors who have presented misinformation and subjective criticism as facts,” the International Bottled Water Association said.
Association president Joseph Doss said they were being unfairly singled out.
“If the debate is about the impact of plastic packaging on the environment, a narrow focus on bottled water spotlights only a small portion of the packaged beverage category and an even smaller sliver of the universe of packaged products,” he said.
“Any efforts to reduce the resources necessary to produce and distribute packaged goods — and increase recycling rates — must focus on all packaging,” he said.

The International Bottled water Association (IBWA) has just put up a totally facetious argument.
People shouldn’t be drinking lots of fizzy, sweet drinks because that stuff is (a) bad for your health and (b) almost always, unneccessary and (c) making the sweet stuff, packaging it, shipping it, disposing the packaging, shipping the empty bottles and packages and recycling all require the input of UNNECESSARY resources and ENERGY, and is therefore an unneccessary cost to the environment and bad for it too. Period.
People should be drinking more water because it is good for your health BUT
People shouldn’t be drinking lots of bottled water because that stuff is (a) purchased bottled water is almost always unnecessary because bottled water IS TAP WATER and (b) tap water costs the environment far less as it is delivered via the taps, is packaged in reuseable glasses or jugs, which only require some washing, but not shipping and recycling.
I understand that somethings are a life style thing. Before I criticise the Jolie Pitts or Di Caprio for taking a private jet, I remember just last week, that I drove my car to meet a friend for coffeee at Starbucks. How much energy did I burn driving 5km to meet her for coffee, not the mention the 5km back. Was that necessary?? Not exactly. I could have taken a public bus and taken an extra 2 hours in total to get there and back because there are no direct buses and I would have to change at least twice waiting a good 20 minutes in between. So, not a perfect substitute to driving my car
However, drinking bottled tap water and drinking tap water straight from a tap is exactly the same stuff. There is NO DIFFERENCE in the quality. so, why ever not - unless you’ve bought into the fraudulent marketing message. So, I hope the anti bottled water drive succeeds. I’m 100% behind it.
As for my coffee meeting, next time, I should probably WALK. LOL.

Na plat siguro iyong butt ko. My nieces here laugh at my tagalog coz kung ano anon minsan ang nasasabi ko po that doesn’t make sense.
The tap water where I live does not taste good. We have very hard water where I live. WE have tried water filter, etc and the water stillo does not taste any where close to good enough to consume 8 glasses a day. So people please get off your high horse about people who drink bottled water. I conserve in other ways. I buy bottled water because it does taste far better than the tap water in my my house and where I live. I am able to drink the equivalent of 8 bottle of water now. If the water where I lived tasted good I would drink it only.

It’s quite normal for an actor to have a few flop in their career, there’s alway ups and downs. to name a few, Johnny Depp before the Pirate’s film, Matt had several flops after Saving Ryan until Boune’s franchise, Reese W, Nichole Kidman “Bewitched”, Julia Robert.But as long as you’re young, talented, hardworking, professionals, there’s always work coming. Unlike the ex sit-com actress who’s almost 40(40 is the kiss of dead for HW actress) and can only play one role in her whole goddam life, that is “Rachel” and scorned X-wife. then, that’s gonna be a problem.

Thanks for posting that! Couldn’t agree more - pop is just plain crap for your body anyway, and tap water that has gone through the Brita is nice and cool and tastes as good as any bottled water. Fill up an insulated water bottle and you’ve got nice cool water for the day. Just think of all those convenience stores that would go under if they didn’t have this crap to sell though. Our need for ‘convenience’ is killing our planet…

Hello, It does suck. You know, you see people with umbrellas and you think what do they have those for the weathers great, then boom, its like a flash of lightening and your on the bus with ruined hair and weirdos lookin at your wet clothes, not in a good way.
I am not complaining or anything. I am very fortunate to have the things I have, I never forget that. It usually doesn’t rain that much and I am wondering if it has anything to with global warming, or, is it just the weather.

I know you want desperately to make this a whole JA vs. BAMPZS thing, but ya know what, it isn’t for me. I don’t agree with them drinking bottled water, but ya guess what, some times I do too! For example, when I’m travelling overseas and CAN’T drink the tap water - something Angelina and Brad encounter on their travels all the time.
I don’t think that either Lylian or I are saying that we have never drank bottled water, but as much as possible I try not to. Many people are just brainwashed into buying bottled water by the case load when they have perfectly good water coming out of their tap, and that is what we are discussing.
Now I suggest you wipe your nose, pull up your panties, and step off the playground if you don’t want to hear what we are talking about.

Oh, tres’hot I have been writing and reading over at EA and some stories are real masterpieces and some are just snippets of family life for Brad and Angie. You could do a small one first. My first fanfic was a small little thing. Remember, ironically it was about how Brad and Angelina were trying to have some “mommy and Daddy time” when the kids were sleeping, but then the horrible weather wakes them.

Whether a movie does well is dependent on several things besides the actor who is in it. It can be dependent on the story,the timing of realease and the audience appeal. The acting in AMH was superb! The release time was probably bad hopefully it will be releae in the Fall. How did King of Scotland do?

The tap water where I live does not taste good. We have very hard water where I live. WE have tried water filter, etc and the water stillo does not taste any where close to good enough to consume 8 glasses a day. So people please get off your high horse about people who drink bottled water. I conserve in other ways. I buy bottled water because it does taste far better than the tap water in my my house and where I live. I am able to drink the equivalent of 8 bottle of water now. If the water where I lived tasted good I would drink it only.

Tabitha, if your tap water sucks and you can’t filter it, then fine, by all means, buy the bottled tap water. BUT many places in the US and Canada (home of the largest natural resevoirs of fresh water in the world) and Europe Australia, don’t need to do much more than use a Brita filter.
Like I’ve written, sometimes there isn’t a good alternative. I’m probably gonna keep driving to my favourite starbucks rather than change buses twice each way and drag a 10 minute drive into an hour long bus ride.
But I firmly believe if we make one change at a time, it will help. So, having said that I promise to take my fat A*S for a 10km round trip walk instead, of driving to starbucks the next time.

Intersting topic. Timely, too as we were just discussion the need for putting a deposit on the plastic water bottles, so they are not just thrown away. I live in Michigan and soda containers have a 10 cent deposit, and that adds up! We don’t see any of those littering our roads and parks, but you sure see the water bottles. Just from a environment issue, I wish it could be addressed.
The last time I had my icemaker repaired on my fridge, the repairman noticed the bottled water in my fridge. He then asked me if my kids drank it, and warned me that they are missing the flouride put in the water specifically for stronger teeth.
I’m with you, install a Brita and fill up the same bottles over and over again. The water bottles are convenient to grab as you leave for a walk, but with a little planning, everyone could do a little to save the environment.
